First Update of 2022
Attention, General!
We hope you all had a great start in the new year! Today marks the first release of 2022 and this one is all about the Beta Client. The team spent quite some time on working and reworking a long list of features and issues we and you spotted while testing it on desktop.

To discover all the changes, check out the beta client on desktop. You find a button to switch to the beta client in the account settings. Once switched, closing the tab and reopening it will open the last chosen setting. To switch back to the old client, re-visit the account settings in the new beta client.

But resistance is growing in the heartland of the fallen states and patriots are reclaiming the heritage of the Founding Fathers.
Liberate the United States from foreign occupation or defeat the uprising patriots in the center of the North American continent in this alternative history scenario!

In this event you will not know friends nor family: In a 100p map with the ‘anonymous round’ feature enabled and no coalitions you will be pitted against 99 other players in a struggle for survival.
The event maps will start immediately after their creation with random country selection enabled and will run at normal speed. Players are flagged as inactive after 2 days. There is also an AI & human player peace period of 1 real-life day. Additional option this time: 6 week time-box. The game will end after 6 weeks, the player with the highest victory points wins and receives a large gold price.

It’s the festive season all around so naturally we’re bringing back our Call of Christmas event, too! ‘Santa’ needs your help in the Antarctic again, but this year you will find some additional presents on your way to the pole! We sprinkled the Snow with more frequent Supply Drops. Chances are high that you will gift yourself a nice Blueprint while playing the event this year!

As the end of 2021 is approaching and while things are slowly calming down for the holidays we would like to take the time and look back. What a year it has been. For all of us in general, and for Call of War in particular. We achieved a lot this year:

Call of Christmas
Ho, ho, ho, Generals!
Pack your warmest clothes and fastest sleds for our ‘Call of Christmas’ event! In this exclusively available event map remnants of the ‘Third Reich’ have kidnapped the world’s biggest industrialist (Codename: Santa) in Antarctica to capitalize on his skills.
Your mission: Conquer and hold two of three Control Points for four ingame days to free Santa and win all his riches (50,000 Gold!).
To spice things up, we removed a lot of AI provinces and made all player countries completely conquerable. Additionally, most resources on the map are now concentrated in several resource hotspots.
During this event Supply Drops spawn much more frequently on the map, giving you an additional chance to collect resources or a valuable blueprint for elite level units as a Christmas gift for yourself this year.
What will be your strategy? Will you secure the Control Points for an early victory, or will you fight over the valuable resource hotspots and supply drops to sustain your army? Decide wisely and strike fast to save Christmas!

Attention, General!
With our last update for 2021 we implement a long list of bug fixes to Call of War!
The lasso tool, which didn't work in some areas on some maps, is working as intended again. Planes are no longer taking a detour around the world, but take the shortest route available again. Ranged units like Artillery also do not temporarily stop moving when attacked by enemy ranged units when on their way to a location. These are just some examples of today’s bug fixes. The list goes on and on.
Apart from taking care of bugs we also re-implemented markers in the center of patrol circles of planes, added confirmation popups for important orders in the game, and renamed High Command to Premium Account.
As usual you find a full list of all changes in the forums and on our Discord server. This is only the last update of 2021. We will continue our efforts and bring new content and features to Call of War in 2022!
