The Old Updates

We just brought in some new updates and fixes to the game, as well as bringing the OSX version in line with the same changes as on PC. This actually marks our 10th update, with more to come. If there are features you want to see added, please let us know in the Community discussion boards!

Hello everyone,

Now that the game is out we're busy looking through your feedback, bug reports and stories about playing the game. While we were proud of what we made it's now way better because of you. It's made us really happy to see people talking about Calvino Noir, so thanks! If you do have something you want to tell us, we'll get back to you.

You may have noticed that on PC there's a new button on the main menu for graphics. Anisotropic Filtering, Vsync, Depth of Field, and language are all changeable. The most important things we've changed are the gameplay improvements. The most important things we've changed are the gameplay improvements. We didn't want to make it less challenging, just easier to get all the info you need to sneak around. Now with the modifications to the Guard AI, the rules for when they do and don't notice you are consistent. Controlling the characters feels better now they're more responsive and you can move everyone together out of harm's way, or into it.

Hopefully you've downloaded the updates already. Aside from that we're continuing to improve the game. Below you've find a whole list of what changed.

Gameplay Patch Notes

–Controller Input –
- Added button graphics to explain using the L1 R1 buttons to cycle through actions.
- “The Hunted Becomes the Hunter” Trophy is now easier to unlock.
- Square, triangle, circle buttons no longer cancel the dialogue.
– PC –
- Added options menu with support to turn on/off Fullscreen, Depth of Field, Anisotropic Filtering, Vsync and changing Language.
– All Platforms –
- Added “follow me” button to make other characters follow the player
- Made controller more responsive by increasing friction.
- Guard behaviour improved. Guards are now easier to take down. They cannot sense the player sneaking up from behind. They cannot see the player when in cover.
- Physics volumes have been improved so that guard player sight detection works much better.
- Wilt take down now displays timer icon to explain mechanic.
- Siska lockpick action now displays timer icon to explain mechanic.
- Door hit boxes have been grown to avoid guards seeing player through doors.
- Guards hearing decreased from behind.
- Game switches to any player character that is killed to explain any checkpoint restart.
- Threshold on controller left stick for running has been increased so it is now easier to walk.
- Game now fades to black earlier in clock tower chapter 1, to improve narrative experience.
- Game now fades to black earlier at end of chapter 2, to improve narrative experience.
