The time has finally come. Capsular released out of early access with this FINAL patch. As you might have heard Capsular is no longer in active development. Although when huge bugs pop up i will fix them. The backend system is gonna be online as long as humanly possible. Thank you for following me through this journey!

Added:

  • Added offline mode
  • Added Water buoyancy for gibs (Max 25)
  • Added Player death decals that splatter on the walls.

The Last update of Capsular

Hello Community!

I am very sad to announce that the next update will be the last content update.
This is because i can no longer justify putting a ton of time into Capsular. Because lets face it. The game flopped. I am already working on a new project wich will hopefully do alot better then Capsular ever has. On my journey i met alot of really awesome people and i learned quite alot about how to handle and manage a commercial release! I hope i wont do the same mistakes again in the future.

What will happen now ?


Well the next update will be the last content update. If bugs or crashes popup after the patch i will try to fix them as fast as possible. This also means that i am scrapping the campaign. This will also mean that the next patch will bring Capsular out of Early Access making it a finished product!

What will the next patch include ?


Mostly stuff for Machine Uprising. This includes a brand new Map, Weapons, Enemies, Upgrades and even a new Boss! I also rebalanced alot of the old content making Machine Uprising alot more fun!

Does this mean your abandoning the game leaving it in its buggy state ?

I try not to be THAT kind of developer. The game will release in a state where i can be proud of what i have achieved. If bugs, glitches and crashes popup after release i will fix them as fast as i can! So dont worry about it.

Update 56!



You can now change the color of your hud! You can choose any color your want! Here are some examples:





As you might have noticed i also changed alot of the base colors of the game to be more realistic. This has the side effect that you can spot players even more easy!

Added:

  • Added 8 new Achievements
  • You can now modify your hud color!


Changes:

  • Removed Dynamic light on Oil Cans to improve performance
  • Increased the thickness and the range of the light beam for oil cans
  • Updated all UI widgets to be less bright and more organized
  • Alot of base colors got adjusted to be more realistic and better on the eyes
  • Reverted the Winter event

Holiday Patch!



Happy Holidays! This is rather small patch wich updates all of the maps to feature snow. I also included 2 small hats. One of them is free and has physics. I am still working on the Campaign and i am currently finishing the various Enemy Behaviours for the first mission. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. I might even add another coop map!

I now included a special spawn sound wich plays on the location where the a player / bot spawned. This should alert you if someone is spawning nearby

Capsular is now free to play! This means that you can play it forever without spending a penny! If you do like to buy things you can directly support me and my work by buying the "Indie Supporter Pack"! This pack includes a unique Diamond Skin for all weapons and 20000 Ingame Gold! People who already own the dlc before it went free received this dlc for free!

Hello!

The community has spoken! Capsular will go free to play! But what does that mean for existing owners of the game?

Existing owners will receive the Indie Supporter DLC for FREE!

But what is the Indie Supporter DLC ?


Its a $7 DLC you can buy once the game goes free to play. The DLC will give you 20000 Ingame gold (Enough for 2 Outstanding Hats!) and a Unique Supporter Weapon Skin for all weapons. The main reason why this dlc will exist is to directly support the game itself. So if you really like the game you can support me by buying this dlc.

The game will go free to play in roughly 2 weeks. If its sooner i will write another announcement.

The Free to play launch will include a new patch.

Since Capsular released the game has always struggled with its player numbers. They are well... very very low. I had the idea of making this game free to play for quite a while now but i always didnt do it since some people already spend good money for it. Now i have decided it would be the best to let my small community decide.

If the game would become free to play and you guys would like to get some kind of reward for buying the game early i would make a 7€ dlc wich includes a bunch of ingame gold and maybe a free skin or two. All owners of Capsular would receive this dlc for free. When the game does go free to play i will keep the buisness model the same. No Pay to win. No Paid cosmetics. You will only be able to buy the very optional 7€ dlc just to support me. All future updates will be free aswell. If the poll is successfull then i will make the game free to play in a week or two.

This is part of a MUCH larger patch wich i decided to split up into 2 parts.
