If you unlocked a starter kit in a previous game version, it should stay unlocked now.
Fixed order of starter kits in UI.
Changed the Super Kit's unlock requirement.
Increased the rarity of the Triple Plasma Cannon.
Update #1 is available!
The first update is now out! New modules! New characters! Bug fixes! Go go go! Here are the details:
Added 4 new experimental modules, which are...
- #1: the MEGA SAW! It's like the Ripsaw, but massive and frightening.
- #2: the PIERCING LASER! It fires special projectiles that cut through enemy modules and keep on going!
- #3: BURST MISSILE LAUNCHER! It fires three teeny tiny cute missiles all at once.
- #4: TRIPLE PLASMA CANNON! Surprise surprise: it shoots three plasma balls at once. It might be too powerful. It is an experiment.
New characters and dialogue!
- Tons of new dialogue. Kevin's Krusaders are now 30% more sassy.
- Added 2 new characters: a creepy barn owl, and POE THE CORGI!
BUG FIXES and DESIGN CHANGES!
- Renamed the "Torpedo Launcher" to "Plasma Cannon" and gave it a new look.
- Ships can no longer shoot down their own projectiles.
- Destroying a +2 level enemy no longer causes you to skip a stage.
- Fixed bug where projectiles would bounce on collision.
- Fixed bug where ripsaws were not vulnerable to projectile damage.

Update #1 is on the way!
Hey gang!
Captain Forever Remix Update #1 is on the way! It'll be released either late tomorrow (Friday) or early Saturday. Either way, that means this weekend there's MORE CAPTAIN FOREVER REMIX TO ENJOY!
This update is going to include a few new module types, some new characters and dialogue, and a bunch of bug fixes. We could be more specific, but we don't want to ruin the surprise.
Brian and I have been hard at work since the game launched. We've spent most of our time listening to you guys, gathering feedback, and getting a feel for what people would like to see out of future updates. It's been a really fun couple of weeks and we can't wait to finally start pumping out updates!

Hotfix for Early Access launch
Some tiny changes just went in:
Torpedoes cannot be shot down
Fixed bug where cash earned would be displayed incorrectly (often as a negative number)
Fixed bug where beam laser sound loop would continue endlessly
Fixed bug where module attachment sound loop would continue endlessly
Some in-game text tweaks
First set of hotfixes are on the way!
We had a really great launch and a really great weekend. Brian, Emeen and I are floored by the reaction we’re seeing to the game. We're having an absolute blast watching people play on Twitch and YouTube, and reading all the awesome suggestions and feedback that's popping up here on the Steam forums.
Right now we’re working on fixing the most common bugs before we move on to more meatier stuff. So keep an eye out for that! We'll have a new build of the game up very soon.
