Blueprint & Renaming Improvements
Initial Name Display: The blueprint’s original name is now visible when renaming.
Exit via ESC: Exit renaming mode by pressing the ESC key.
Extended Name Length: Blueprint names now support up to 20 characters.
Mounting & Assembly Jobs
Mounting Job Fix: Corrected the position calculation for mounting jobs on conveyor products.
Assembly Job Crash Fixes: - Resolved a crash caused by an inaccessible position in the assembly job. - Fixed a crash on loading when an assembly job sourced a resource from a storage that no longer exists.
User Interface Enhancements
Scroll Sensitivity: UI scroll sensitivity has been adjusted for smoother navigation.
Sales Slot Technologies Updates
Value Adjustment: Increased initial values for sales slot technologies.
New Tiers Introduced: Two additional tiers now allow for a maximum of 15 and 20 sales slots.
Pricing Update: Updated pricing to reflect the new tier structure.
New Blueprint Display Object Feature
Blueprint Display: Added blueprint display object that allows you to set the model and color to showcase.
Location: Available in Editor Mode under the Decorations category.
Cost & Placement: Costs 5000 and can only be placed outside buildings.

As we step into 2025, we just want to take a moment to thank you for your incredible support and for giving Car Manufacture a chance - it truly means the world to us. This past year marked a huge milestone with our Early Access release, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

First up, the storage conveyors we teased earlier are still in development, but after all the Christmas and New Year hustle, they should finally be ready this month. We’re also actively squashing reported bugs and rolling out some much-needed quality-of-life improvements.

Map
We're finally bringing maps and locations into Car Manufacture! Through the office view, you'll access the map UI, where key points of interest will be marked with pins. But this isn't just a visual upgrade - it's the foundation for major upcoming mechanics like part production, material shopping, and even opening your own dealerships. In short, it's a major step towards pushing the world of Car Manufacture into a more advanced and dynamic stage.
Factions
Each location on the map isn't just a place - it's a territory controlled by factions. Your reputation with these groups will shape your business strategy. Will you play it clean and align with corporate suits? Or take a more "unconventional" route with the mafia? Maybe you'll curry favor with the government and military? Or, if you're feeling extra adventurous, make contact with UFOs.
But beware - factions don’t always get along. You can’t be in everyone's good books at once. Your choices will open doors to exclusive rewards, but they’ll also lock others. Choose wisely - because who doesn’t love a bit of business intrigue?
Quests
So, how do you actually interact with these factions?
We've are introducing two types of quests:
Main Quests - Big, story-driven missions where you can only have one active at a time. Choose your path, uncover a connected narrative, and shape the future of your factory.
Side Quests - Fast, flexible, and all about opportunity. Take on as many as you want, tackle faction-based challenges, and rack up profits while carving your own path.
This system allows us to introduce deep storytelling while still giving you the freedom to run your business your way. Whether you're expanding your empire, rising through faction ranks, or just staying afloat in this ruthless industry, every choice you make will have real consequences.

Robot Updates
New Robots: Added a new robot type and larger storage variants of existing models.
Durability System: Robots now have durability, requiring periodic maintenance by mechanics. Durability is displayed in a tooltip when hovering or highlighting. Broken robots display an error icon, have reduced mounting speed, and must be repaired to restore full functionality.
Assembly Weight Limits: Introduced a maximum weight limit for parts assembled via robots, with speed penalties for exceeding the limit.
Balancing: Adjusted robot prices and parameters.
Performance: Increased robot job tick rate to smooth task transitions and eliminate pauses.
Fixes and Improvements
Fixed a crash when removing a car from the repair workshop before pickup.
Cars in the repair workshop are now selectable.
Improved icon color consistency in the object summary UI in editor mode.

Storage Conveyor We’re implementing hanging conveyors that can transport car parts throughout the factory. You’ll be able to connect any storage container, building and robot, making logistics smoother and more efficient than ever!
Market Object A separate market object you can place right inside your factory is on the way! It’ll be helpful, especially on those larger maps - but keep in mind that it comes with a hefty price tag.
Robots Overhaul We’re introducing a brand-new robot model and adding variants of the existing ones with extra storage capacity. Robots are also getting their first balancing update, making them a little harder to acquire.
Assembly Line UI We’re making some updates to the conveyor UI! You’ll now be able to rename your conveyor belts and we’re adding separate tabs - starting with stats that include detailed graphs and info. The final tab will have advanced options like worker assignment and commonly requested features like “Clear” and “Auto-Set” to make managing related orders a breeze.
Additional Improvements and Fixes We’ve also tackled some reported issues and are continuously working to optimize the game’s performance.
