Cardhuntrians! It's time to dust off your scary outfits, carve pumpkins, and prepare your teeth for a huge amount of sweets. Halloween is finally approaching!
Get some figures as it's time for trick or treat!
Special Halloween-only reskinned items are available in normal loot drops as well as for purchase in the Halloween Shop. You can get six figures for a limited time at Cuthbert's Costumes - 3 returning figures and 3 new Trick-or-Treater ones!
As if that was not enough, we have special Halloween ranked boards and three spooky new leagues: Haunted Cabin Quick Draw, Candy Fight constructed, and Trick or Treat fixed deck. They will be in rotation throughout the Halloween event. You can win the new figures in these leagues, or get bonus epic chests if you already have them!
Campaign Rebalance & Radiation Changes
Thanks to those of you who participated in our recent playtest, we’re delivering a series of balance changes to Castle Mitternacht and Caverns of Chaos alongside our Halloween event. We expect that these modules will be much more enjoyable now, and we hope you’ll check them out! With these changes, the Loot Fairy is finally ready to frolic around Castle Mitternacht.
In addition, we’ve addressed a longstanding issue with Expedition to the Sky Citadel’s radioactive cards—they will now pull from smaller, more explicit pools, freeing design space for cool new Boosts and Handicaps without messing up existing cards’ power levels.
Quality of Life Improvements
We’ve been listening to the community and we’re ready to present a number of quality of life changes to the game, ranging from timestamps in chat to better item sorting to being able to ‘ping’ tiles in co-op.
We’ll give you a full changelog when the release hits on October 18th!

You may feel invited to the birthday party at Card Hunter. We are celebrating our 8th birthday and we hope that you will spend it with us. That is why we have prepared special leagues for you, as well as some other attractions, such as Loot Fairy and daily chests.
Birthday leagues with figures
To celebrate our birthday, we'll be releasing 3 promo leagues with unique skins to earn. The leagues will be active throughout the weekend, giving everyone a chance to play, and the winners will be able to boast exclusive Kee-Tenh figures - all three of them: Marroo, Growler, and Meowquith.
The leagues in which you can win them will be Monkey Magic, Lost City Quick Draw, and Triple Duel. Kee-Tenh figures are not available in the costume store and have only ever been offered in birthday leagues. It is therefore a unique chance to get them!
Loot Fairy Madness is back with daily chests
Good, old Loot Fairy believes that you never have as many cookies as good loot. So he will visit Cardhuntria to share his loot-enhancing magic. Want rare, epic, and legendary items? So keep an eye out for Loot Fairy in your adventures! With the change in ownership of Card Hunter, Blue Manchu’s Mary Myrax is of course no longer editing the fan-magazine Mauve Manticore. However! The Knights of Unity’s own superstar designer, Sir Knight, is here to take the reins. Mauve Manticore is coming back into circulation, and that means that we need you, oh marvelous Hunter of Cards, to submit your custom scenarios for possible inclusion in the game!
How can one submit a scenario, you ask?
Contest details can be found in the Mauve Manticore Submission Thread on the Card Hunter forums, but the gist is that you submit your custom scenarios and we select the best of those for publication in the optional “Mauve Manticore” adventure modules. Any player who submits a selected scenario wins a bunch of delicious pizza!
And, with the recent release of the Eastpass Conspiracy adventures, there are 20 new monsters waiting for you in the custom scenario builder. This is an exciting time to design encounters, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll make!
A few notes:
You don’t need to use new monsters for your submission to be considered.
Previously submitted scenarios will still be considered for inclusion in future editions.
If we receive enough submissions of sufficient quality, we will look into creating a system for players to vote on which scenarios should be included in the game, and possibly give additional rewards for popular scenarios.
We don’t have a set date for the next edition of Mauve Manticore, but we are tentatively aiming for September to give players a chance to really polish their submissions. After that, assuming the contest is running smoothly and submission volume is high enough, we will attempt to resume a close-to-monthly schedule.

Loot Fairy Madness and Daily chest!
What events did Gary conjure up with Melvin? Daily chest log-in reward and Loot Fairy Madness! You’ll get daily chest rewards just for logging in and the Loot Fairy will be spreading loot-enhancing magic across all of Cardhuntria - rare, epic and legendary items are waiting for you! You are probably curious when this madness begins. The Loot Fairy will start its journey on May 28 and end on May 31, so stay tuned. The Daily Chest will be available from May 27 to June 3, so there's a whole week of rewards waiting!
