Carto has been released one year ago.
After launched, we enjoy finding out how players play our game. Some laugh at the puns while streaming, some accompany with their partners and kids to solve puzzles, and some challenge themselves by getting all the achievements on their own.

IGF Nomination and Other News!
Hi there!
We’re excited to share the news that Carto was recently nominated in the Independent Games Festival (IGF) awards, both for Excellence in Visual Art and an honorable mention for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize. We’ve followed IGF for a long time and submitted to it several times, so it’s a great honor for us to be nominated this year.
Carto was also recently nominated for a couple other awards:
- The Webby Awards - Games: Family & Kids category
- Anifilm Festival - Excellence in Graphics / Best Children Game
We’re greatly encouraged by these nominations, whether we win or not.
We’ve also been greatly encouraged by our players who have left reviews and comments online, streamers of our game who are always energetic and funny to watch, and artists who have made adorable fanart of our characters. We’d like to thank you for all of your kindness and excitement around Carto - making this game was a great challenge for us, and your feedback has made it worth the journey.

Update on Control Remapping!
We have fixed some bugs and typos in all languages.
Also, some of the puzzles are made more enjoyable and reasonable.

We made a cozy little adventure game about friends, family, and community, and exploring cultures beyond your own. You may have seen our central gameplay mechanic in our trailers - manipulating the game’s map to change the world around you - and we’ve tried to build on it in unique and interesting ways throughout the course of the game.
