Case Files: Behind Closed Doors - Steam Next Fest and Demo!
We're excited to announce that the second installment in the franchise, "Case Files: Behind Closed Doors", will be premiering at the Steam Next Fest in February! The event takes place from Feb 5th-12th. A demo will be available to play during the event. There will also be a livestream with the developer, who will go over the new case, new mechanics, and more. Mark your calendars, detectives!

Case Files: Behind Closed Doors - Steam Page is LIVE!
We're excited to announce that the second installment in the franchise, "Case Files: Behind Closed Doors", now has a Steam page! We are planning a release in Q1 of 2024, but for now the game can be wishlisted by visiting the page HERE.

This next case raises the bar significantly for the series. We've included crime scene photos, security camera footage, and new mechanics that involve discerning truth from lies, as well as finding contradictions in suspect interviews. There are also 4 suspects this time around. We have been focusing really hard on making YOU feel like a DETECTIVE.

Update for May 17, 2023

  • Added the ability to skip phone call audio.
  • Fixed a minor bug in the video skipping feature.
  • Changed the name of the "Skip Video" option in the Settings Menu to "Option to Skip Media". This change allows the skipping of both video and audio throughout the game.

This next installment will feature many community-requested features and mechanics. It's a bit too early to provide a lot of details, but do know that we have listened, and are continuing to listen to player/community feedback in order to deliver a second case that drastically improves upon the existing formula.

UI & Player Settings Update!
Players have spoken, and we have listened! This new UI & Player Settings update features a lot of the highly requested features from the player community. Features include:


  • New "Controls" screen that can be accessed at any time. This features all controls available to players.
  • Completely revised and easier to understand "Settings" menu.
  • Newly added setting to adjust the volume at any time.
  • Newly added setting to change from fullscreen to windowed mode at any time.
  • Subtitles will no longer disappear when the game and/or video players are paused.
  • Skipping videos now requires a long press to prevent accidentally skipping videos.

*PLEASE NOTE: THESE UPDATES ONLY AFFECT THE FLAT SCREEN VERSION OF THE GAME. THESE NEW FEATURES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE VR VERSION.

Update for December 24, 2022
Fixed a critical bug that prevented the videos to appear on the playback monitor if "Skip Videos" was disabled. The problem is now corrected and the playback monitor is working as intended regardless of whether "Skip Videos" is enabled or not.

Update for December 17, 2022
Fixed an issue with a slight echo being heard when switching video feeds on the playback monitor.

VR Support - FREE UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE!
VR support via OpenXR has been added! This is a FREE update! Players will now have the option to play the game in Standard mode or VR when launching the game. Support is established for the following headsets: Rift, Rift S, Quest, Quest 2.

To use the VR mode, please make sure that you have the latest update of the game, and that your VR headset is properly connected to your PC prior to launching the game.

*Please Note: The Standard and VR versions are treated as two separate games. There is NO cross-saving between the two versions!

**Vive, Index and WMR headsets "may" be supported, but we have NOT been able to test them yet.
