the game has just been transitioned from Early Access to full release.
The decision has been made, because the foundation of the game is now done. Future updates will contain additional content such as new worlds or weapons/items. These will be included within the game in future updates. Of course bugfixes will be released, too, if found and reported.
Also an update has just been published providing the following changes:
Fixed that sometimes the player moves extremely fast right after the map has loaded
Fixed that some sounds are played at maximum volume even though the volume has been decreased
Improved gameplay of lavaland, adjusted alien wave handling and mothership health
Fixed that some bullets may collide with other bullets or the owner
Bugfixes and overall improvements

Big upgrade BETA version is live!
Hey guys,
a beta version of the current big upgrade is now live.
You can now play in the way it was announced before.
- Play endlessly in the given maps - Collect coins - Buy upgrades such as weapons, ammo and unlock new maps - Post screenshots of your end game information to share how far you have come in a map!
Buying ammo has a temporary effect, so be sure to manage your expenses in a clever way.
There is still more content to come, so stay tuned for further upgrades.

Big update coming soon!
Hey guys,
I have decided that Casual Pixel Warrior will change massively with the next update.
Before that the game was intended to just be iterative: You proceed from map to map and after you have finished all levels the game would be finished.
I figured that this is a bit boring. So I have decided to implement massive changes, so that gameplay will be as follows: - Instead of proceeding from map to map, you can play each map whenever you want and the waves go infinitely - This means playing a map is like a classic wave shooter: Defeat more and more waves and lead the leaderboards! - Fragging enemies will, as currently is, drop some coins - You can use these coins in the shop to buy upgrades: Ammo, weapons and more maps - The better weapons you got / there more ammo you have the longer will you be able to last the waves. How long will you be able to last?
This massive change will ensure much more that the game has some replay value. Because basically it never ends.
After the release I will push more minor updates wich are planned to provide more weapons and maps.
So, stay tuned for the next BIG update!

PS: If you still like the old concept, you might want to check out Solitarius. It is planned to remain its gameplay style. The only difference is, that it is set in a sci-fi space environment.
Spring Update released
Hello guys,
I have just published a spring update.
The changes are as follows:
You will receive a health boost after each 20 coins
Informational dialog/menu that guides you through the game and tells a bit of the story
Achievement for each map that rewards if all coins are collected
More waves in the levels and partially more enemies in each wave
Boss is a bit stronger now
Game starts in windowed mode by default
