Just a small update with some minor tweaks and additions
Fixed Stability of servers/Clients. Clients no longer have to wait for the server to respond to complete actions, this removes the stutter when crouching, jumping, climbing and dashing and reduces the amount of replicated server calls back to clients.

Hi everyone!
I am super excited so many people love playing Cat & Mouse, seriously its amazing seeing so many people having fun. I never thought I would be able to do something like this and yet here I am. To those who have helped spread the word I cant even begin to thank you!
Anyway, now down to the real business: To give some context, I work a full time job that requires quite alot from me so I am making games in my free time after work, Cat & Mouse is the first game I created to be an actual game so I wanted to see it completed and available to everyone so I toiled and toiled to get it to where it is now. It is far from perfect and to be honest I still want to see more people playing, but I will be taking a short 'break' from updating Cat & Mouse until early February 2023. I will still be updating bugs, making the game more stable, and taking in suggestions/issues; I simply wont be making a concentrated effort to have anything new until then. Think of it as a soft break, I just need to 'recharge'. I didnt want to slow down and not say anything so people would think it is abandoned, so this announcement is my way of saying Im still working, just no longer at 10000% capacity. Thank you for understanding.
Keep your eyes open for new announcements as I am fickle and may decide to make something new anyway. Halloween perhaps? Who knows?

Woooooooooooo! I have finally done it; Cat & Mouse is officially ready for launch! I know it has been way too long and I haven't updated anyone in a while, but I have been working tirelessly in the background doing my best to bring C&M to full release. I am legitimately excited to show you what Cat & Mouse has always been in my head. Cat & Mouse releases TODAY! There will be a small increase in the price, but also with the launch I will have it on a fairly significant discount. If you like the game, please tell your friends and grab as many copies launch weekend as possible.
Tutorial/single player with Map select to test all maps on your own
Freedom Game mode:
Players can choose if they are a Cat or a Mouse with no restrictions or timers
Survival Game mode:
Cats will need to stop mice from surviving the allotted time
Mice will slowly lose 'health' unless they pickup and eat Cheese
No reviving
Gave Mice the ability to smell where all cheese is
Added audio cue when spotted by a Cat
Additional PFX
Changed:
Cats' lights will turn off while sneaking
Mice now make sounds and pfx when dashing
Movement speeds adjusted for Cat and Mouse
Cat's Listen ability now shows Mice correctly and accurately
Survival mode is the standard Game mode
UI updates when you pickup Cheese
Fixed players connecting and disconnecting issues
Made it more obvious when selecting a server
Increased server Bandwidth and network stability
Improved Steam UI Support (Join friends session via Steam)
Players can no longer die if the round is over
Fixed many UI/art bugs
Changed to Lobby system so players can all join before starting
And many more minor tweaks

Also also, I officially opened PH7 Studios LLC, which is the first step to making Game Dev my full time job. I am still committed to adding small updates (maps and bug fixes) to Cat & Mouse for the foreseeable future but PH7 Studios will be starting on their next title Jan 2023. I will make a news announcement when PH7 Studios starts development and where you can follow what's next.

Alpha 0.36 Update
Hello everyone! Pretty small update this week. This will not be the normal to have an update every week, I just thought it would be nice to see how people feel about the new game mode.
Changelog: Added - New game mode - “Survival” - Prey lose hunger over time and need to collect food to survive until the end of timer. Each prey competes individually. Added - Minimum player count in Host settings for server to start Added - New UI items Changed - Pickups are picked up by walking over them Changed - Predators play in 3rd person

Alpha 0.3 Update
Hey dudes, duders, and dudets, I am excited to release the first real update for Cat & Mouse! This update may be small in overall changes but the groundwork it has laid has dramatically increased my ability to work on and implement new features/content. Lets just jump right into the new features in update 0.3.
Added - UI for starting a match Added - Nests (used for reviving teammates) Added - Lots of new art (this will be expanded on later) Added - Death messages Added - A ton of UI tweaks and additions to help guide players towards their objective Added - More controller support (not 100% but this IS a priority) Changed - Almost every UI element has been tweaked to be a little more pleasing Changed - First person camera only (this may change in the future as well) Changed - Prey no longer respawn automatically if there is more than one prey Changed - Scoreboard now shows points, kills, deaths, and food collected Changed - The points needed to win as prey no longer scale based on the number of prey (This may change back through testing) Fixed - Being a predator or prey is less random, taking into account of whether you have been one previously or not Fixed - Cats “listen” ability not working properly Fixed - UI properly showing up and closing when needed/not needed Fixed - Cat spotlight detection Fixed - All yellows are almost exactly the same (this needs more tweaking in some areas) Fixed - Chat not always updating Fixed - Some other small things that were broke but now are fixed
Aaaaand thats about it for this first patch. I am still continuously working on Cat & Mouse, and have BIG plans for the next patch.
