平衡性调整

因为我看到有玩家在抱怨「箱子放在一起,很难偷」。
所以把箱子之间的距离拉大了。

目前箱子还放一起的玩家,你或许上线会发现箱子被随机分散开了(别打我)。

不过这种情况,还是无法阻止的。不知道怎么破的,看一看高等级的录像,知名魔术师们怎么做的。


新角色确实很「贵」,这个贵不是在美术上,而是策略x动作游戏的平衡性,牵一发动全身。你想啊,我两年,都只做了三个角色。
一个新角色加入,所有数值和 关卡都要重做 - -
跟单纯的动作游戏不一样的。所以这一整年,都没敢加,我一般是维护服务器,在服务器上略微的调整数值。

关于更新太慢

也有不少朋友劝我说:这种时候你就装死。
我听到这话觉得很难过,国内的作者和玩家之间就像是一直有堵墙。墙另一头玩家一直骂或者捧上天。。这一边作者们抱着“闷声发大财”,“沉默是金”的念头什么都不说。
我发这个通知之前,我知道自己一定会得罪一些玩家。但我真的不想再继续这种情况了。

我选择把话说出来。
我知道绝大部分人不会关心我的“实际情况”,世界不是围着我转的这种道理我当然明白,我又不是傻的。
可是,
我的“实际情况”是我唯一能说的不是吗?


或许不会得到理解,至少我是真诚的。我不用大公司的客服应答你们。不用沉默应答你们。你们至少会感受到一个有血肉,有感情的,人,在跟你们说话。

Catch Me做的太久,实在是疲惫了。

更重要的,我们都想做新游戏了,身为作者有更高的追求,而且我们组只有两个人全职,人手实在太少,所以无法保持以往的更新速度。希望能得到大家的谅解。

关于“留下一个烂摊子就跑”的回复:

很多单机游戏,就算不更新,也不会有这种感觉。有剧情,就会有“结局”,就会有“完结”的感觉。

多人游戏不同,有人会觉得自己“把Dota2打通了”吗?

作为一个多人游戏,如果失去“运营”,停止不停的调整平衡性,停止拼命宣传找更多人来玩,就总会有“未完成感”,例如:
这里不平衡啊,怎么还不调整呢?
这个BUG好厉害啊,怎么还不修正?

在游戏售卖一般的情况下,从商业角度来说这种持续的,没有底限的投入就显得非常“不值”。

制作catch me的时候,还没有“做不来游戏工作室”。
只有我而已。
在这种情况下,去做一个需要运营的多人游戏,是非常冒险的决定。事实证明我差点玩死自己。

CM的开发比同期的Lost Castle, Home Behind, 艰辛太多了。
录像回放功能,随机生成的地形迷宫,多人互偷所需要的服务器,数据库,作为多人游戏必须封禁的修改器作弊....
还有饱受诟病的,Catch Me的美术风格,也需要对二十世纪初魔术文化的研究。
每一个都是大坑。你们也知道,这里面的很多系统都还有bug。画面也没有达到非常协调统一的状态。
所以最后的结果就是吃力不讨好。就算非常不想承认我的冒进失败了,但至少,他不算是太成功的。

说游戏怎么不好,给差评什么的,都是应该的。确实挺多问题。
Catch Me的很多问题是最初的决策(设计)造成的,如果想解决的非常好。成本已经高过了重新去做一个更好的游戏。

在上述情况下,我决定要做新的游戏。我需要新的旅程和起点。

我说这些并不是要博取同情,只是既然有人骂我,那我觉得还是需要继续好好沟通。

所以,请不要再说“留下一个烂摊子就跑”这样的话了。对于怀胎18月的我来说(苦笑),真的很伤人。

《Catch Me》将在下周正式发售

经过3个月的修改以及增加新内容,我(玫瑰狗)认为CatchMe已经可以正式发售,价格相比于现在,会有一定程度的上涨。

后续的维护,平衡性改进会持续进行。

[√] Due to the gameplay of CatachMe is not very traditional, so I got some feedback from community complained about feeling confused at the beginning of game. So we improved the tutorial and added this:



Bugs Fixed:
•[x] Hippo Bomb got stuck sometimes;
•[x] Hippo Bomb only guarded 4 safes;
•[x] You caught attention of Owls when picking items which dropped by someone else;
•[x] We enlarged the font size of “Begin” and “Peek”, and changed the word color into White.

Increased the toilets

Increased the toilet number in Level 7,8,9,10 maze.

Overlapping parrots is not allowed now

Goal of is creating a multiplayer adversarial game which uses strategy as the main game play, uses sneaking in as action display. In view of this, “Overlapped Parrots” this IMBA game play will be not allowed any more:

  • [√] Overlapping parrots is not allowed;
  • [√] Safes can’t be blocked by parrots when placing;
  • [√] Overlapped parrots placed before this patching will be automatically dispersed;
  • [√] Parrots couldn’t be clicked:Parrots can’t be placed out of screen now, the ones was placed outside will be moved back;
  • [√] Unlocker usage: Now you can use your unlockers by clicking icon or pressing shortcut.
