This is a small patch to hopefully fix a crash with the Tuum Garden. This is one of those crashes that is very hard to replicate on my end. But I implemented a ton of little fail safes.

Hey all! Just a small update.
If you have side buttons on your mouse, these can now be used in control binds! Also there was a bug where control binds weren't being loaded properly. That's fixed now.

One more!
This bug was only affecting you if you were using a controller or a steam deck user.
When you died and hit the retry button, you'd restart and then the death animation would play again, but you wouldn't be dead, and you couldn't leave the room, so you had to restart again. huh. weird.
So that's fixed now!

Hopefully my dedication to fixing stuff makes up for the fact that I'm a hot dumpster fire of a developer.

fixed a bug where in the shmup sections, an enemy could escape the play area and would not be deleted properly, soft locking you in the room.
buddies and followers no longer spawn in shmup sections as they don't do anything anyways. less messy.
Next up is fixing the weird death bug.

Hey all. Really did some dumb quick changes in a previous update and still trying to clean up the mess :P Please bear with me!
Here's another round fixes.
Most grievous fixes:
fixed a crash connected with a secret boss (sorry to poor person that was so close yet so far :'( )
accessibility options now properly unlock all game modes
added some text to save profile to show how many characters there are total
fixed a bug with Boss Jam flying off the screen and taking forever to come back to the room
Probably still more on the way, but I'll keep hacking away!

Cavity Busters Update 37 patch 4 (again)
One more time but with less incompetency!
So this is all the previous patches but without some serious crashes that I overlooked in my hast to get patch 4 out before leaving for a few days. I'm back and found the issue, so things should be all good now. Except the obj_bullet bug. I mean I think I fixed that one, but it's been so hard to track down that I'm not 100% sure it's gone. Cavity Busters Update 37 patch 4 (one more for good measure)
Alright one more update before the weekend. While in cryosleep I came up with a few more ideas on fixing the bug that everyone else is finding but me. The worst kind of bug. I'll be away from the computer the next couple days so hopefully this one sticks.
If the bug hits you, it looks something like this:

It'd be a huge help to me if you are able to recall a few things about what was going on when the crash happened. Like: who was your gummy? who were you fighting? were you fighting? were you leaving a room? mouse and kb or controller? ect. No worries if you can't. This is my problem, not yours. But I do appreciate the help.
Thanks to all who've reported on this bug so far. It's helped me narrow down the scope of what's causing it.

run badges for individual gummies was bugged for controller users
fixed the hp exchange npc from exploding a giant amount of mints
fixed a bug with tooth gummy freezing in place when they have the super tooth synergy
i tried a ton of different things with the obj_bullet crash, so hopefully one of them sticks
the game speed in the accessibilities option wasn't working so i that works now
added a sound fx for diseases when they drop and when enemies are cleared
Thanks for your patience everyone. One day this game will be crash free. When that day comes I'll smash the ol bat signal.

Hey all!
How's the new update treating ya? I hear it's been like a little apple thief to some of you. Stealing your apples...And crashing your computers. Bad thief.
Well I can't give you your apples back but I can hopefully prevent the game from crashing. That's a shaky hopefully. Anyways.
-fixed a bug with obj_bullet crashing the game (this crash was super weird and random and near impossible for me to replicate reliably so it's possible it's still lurking around) -fixed a sound fx being too loud.

Cavity Busters Update 37 - A little bit of everything update
Hello everyone! "This is just a small update to address a few bugs and polish a few things" is what I was originally going to say. But really it's: This is just a small update to address a few bugs and polish a few things AND add a bunch of upgrades AND add a new game mode AND add a new mini boss. So not so small. Wew. Sometimes, things just get out of hand. Anyways, onwards!
First, whats new:
add 18 new upgrades bringing the total to 300!
added a new mini boss
added a new game mode: Alt hard mode
item rooms now have a chance to spawn two items and you'll only be able to pick one
added badges for each gummy to indicate what type of wins they've achieved
added 15 new tooth caps
added ui for glass heart disease
added ui for monster juice
updated the pause screen to be much cleaner I think
added small fx to collectible and bestiary screens
updated the title logo to a higher resolution

mgs bosses phases were buffed a tad
the environment you see when you jump was thinned out a little
fixed a bug where harvesting a tuumor that had pokey hat tied to it would not clear the items effect
in the options menu, shot gum option 3 is now called main
filling gummy shoot sound fx volume was lowered
fixed a number of bugs tied to pausing the game and opening the map
the disease curer has different dialogue if you are playing as shumppy gummy
fixed a bug where restarting dig mode would not give player shovels
put a max limit on bouncy bullets
fixed a bug where the wall on top is buggy when digging
fixed a bug where arrow head enemy would not bounce off walls properly
fixed an audio bug with the player walking sound
fix bug with filling gummy shooting jump shots when not jumping
polished map icons
polished a few ui icons
fixed being able teleport out of crystal shard fight
fixed a couple typos (i know right)
brain jar enemy is harder when by itself
hatchling boss now only drops one upgrade
fixed a bug where erach the arachnid could get out of the room
shmupy gummy was balanced a tad
fixed a bug where restarting a run in a loop would still retain loop traits
fixed a bug where restarting a run would reward a crown tooth
fixed a bug where tooth gummy would take damage when performing a charged shot
fixed a bug where you could be killed by poison when trasitioning to the end screen
