It's been 3 months since the Cellings was released. Here comes the first patch (Cellings version 2.0)! We've been hardly working on a new patch that brings many improvements including performance optimizations, new setting options and also a new content!
Major performance optimization in the main game scene - reduced rendering objects and calculations of fractal (this is not related to the 'Arena' scenes in which you fight in abstract fractals - these scenes eat a lot of performance due to realtime fractals, however the main-game scene [the journey mode] is now fully playable for lower-end computers)
Added 15 new editor parts (you can now add more specific editor parts to your cell in the Cell Editor)
Added color-picking in the Cell Editor for each part-category (you can now pick any color for each part category [Attraction-based,Speed-based,Damage-based,Defense-based parts] and bring more colors to your cell!)
Added V-Sync option (you can now enable/ disable Vsync in settings)
Added FPS-Lock option (you can now lock and limit the frame rate to 60FPS, otherwise the game will run as fast as possible)
Added "show editor-part-information when a cursor hovers over the part's icon"
Fixed UI scaling for wide monitors
Fixed Turkish translation
Fixed "crafting UI keeps active when player is nearby and crafting gets destroyed"
Fixed "cell parts are removed from the previous generation when player reaches a new generation"
Fixed "attraction warning pops out repeatedly when player keeps the valuable material"
We would like to thank you for your support and we hope you like the game and it's progress. We would be more than glad for any feedback! Let us know in which direction should we move. You are also very welcome to join our official Community Discord Server! The journey does not end here! Take care and enjoy the patch!

Dev-Roadmap in a Nutshell
We would like to introduce to you our new game title that we've been working on for 2 years now. As mentioned in the description, our main inspiration was Spore, the game from 2008 where you take full control of the evolution of your own species, from cell generation to space. We were so inspired that we wanted to make something similar! The satisfying creature editor, relationships among other species, progression to another stage. We've basically created a mix of Spore features integrated in one stage which shows you the full cell evolution across 3 generations. As the generation progresses, you will explore unknown species & locations that may offer you looting and rare materials. Your main goal (as a cell) is to gather material, make new connections with other species, or dominate other species! Your species will progress and you will explore other game modes that allow you to fight in abstract arenas & realtime fractals.
Commmunity
We would like to be as close to the community as possible! You are very welcome to join our official community Discord channel where you can introduce yourself, share your stuff, or simply post your feedback so we can discuss anything in realtime! We do really care about your feedback and suggestions, so do not hesitate to join!
The game contains a Steam Workshop feature that allows you to explore other species created by other players, so don't miss this feature! You can find it in Creators Wiki/Workshop. You can upload your own creature in Creators Wiki/Workshop/Upload Your Species.
Future
Cellings is currently a stable game with all the core gameplay and features. However, as it's a community-based game, we would like to add more content in the future, which depends on YOU! What content? Content such as new editor parts, new maps in Dimension mode, improve AI of cells, more special cells, more unique locations, and so on. So, if you really are interested in the game, we would very happy to hear your opinion. Open up and share your feedback with us! Thanks to you, the game will grow.
Last Words
Thank you for reading this announcement. We would like to invite you to our official community Discord channel! If you have anything related to Cellings (suggestion, feedback, issue), please post it in our 'cellings-bug-reports' channel on our official Discord channel mentioned above. If you would like to just share your species, you can post the iamge to 'cellings-creations' channel. Happy evolving and we are looking forward to you!
