Changes



  • Added a note to the main menu
  • Max run speed of all animals lowered
  • Raptor turn speed in flight has increased a bit
  • Nametags are no longer visible from extremely far away- must be atleast close enough for local chat
  • Loading screen added to teleport so that you don't see the camera jump around
  • Randomizer locks for sub-categories (such as manes, markings, etc.) now toggle all the contained locks within that category
  • Felis body collider is now at shoulder height
  • Afk should show on your nametag after 3 minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically booted out of the game after 5 minutes of inactivity

Fixes



  • Randomizer now randomizes felis and canis tails properly according to length
  • Settings change in real time again- they weren't applying until you restarted the game
  • Character selection species labels should resize properly with the boxes now
  • Gamesparks code is completely gone from the game now
  • Insect volume lowered
  • Unity does not turn off sounds that are too far away to hear, so I added a script that does just that
  • You can create a private chat channel again, and typing in the box will not cause your character to move
  • You should be able to edit raptor characters properly with the changes saving
  • Tombet's giant main tree should be collidable
  • Aging is no longer jumping at twice the speed of before
  • Canis pointed and forked tongue labels were mixed. They're correct now.
  • Soto spawn is higher so you don't spawn under the water

What is this?


So many of you have fallen into the void over the years, why not celebrate that in the spookiest of all months with a free t-shirt giveaway?

This shirt design is not and will never be for sale on Redbubble so only the winners (and myself, hee hee) will own this spoopy shirt design!

Where does the shirt come from?


I've commissioned artist Toesthee to design us a nice little wolf in the void and the shirts will be printed by Redbubble. I've used Redbubble in the past for designs, so I know they're going to look pretty sick once printed! I will be paying 100% of the shipping and design fees, so the shirt is completely free for the winners!

When does this all go down?


The giveaway entry process starts now and ends on the 30th! On the spookiest day of the year, October 31st, I will announce the three winners! If all goes well and you guys like this kind of thing, we might make it a regular event!

2.4.8 Gem Gecko, Monthly Spinner, Market and More!


Changes



  • Added Golden Laurel to prize pool for Monthly Premium spinner
  • Monthly Premium spinner changed in how it 'spins' as well, process takes less time and randomizes more
  • Added fall colored laurel as crafting recipe option

  • Market main UI made prettier
  • Added new Character Selection backdrop for October

  • Nametag system changed to pop-up when characters come into view or when camera is rotated and will fade away after being onscreen for 5 seconds
  • Animal Editor options favor left side more
  • Agepoints can be found in currencies in the in game UI
  • Gem Gecko can now appraise up to 10 gastros at once

  • You can sell a custom amount of gems to the gem gecko




Fixes



  • Monthly Premium spinner was not behaving appropriately- nothing you spun was saving, it should now work properly
  • Camera far more stable when Felis and canis run
  • All canis tuft options should be visible in game
  • If gem gecko disallows you to appraise gastros, going back to previous menu and then back into the Checking menu should let you continue to appraise again
  • Many animal noises made quieter- unity was normalizing them to be louder
  • Raptor no longer makes sounds when randomizing
  • No more double scrollbars for color tabs in editor
  • Arrows no longer save improperly- main data should not be randomly wiped in game
  • Tooltip now spaced properly



Known Bugs



  • "Change Character" hangs
  • Switching scenes can still be finicky
  • Randomizer for raptor editor does not change wing markings

2.4.7 Editor Improvements!

Changes



  • FPS limiter was added to Settings
  • Animal positions change according to body part tab picked, but you can also toggle these on and off to your liking at the bottom of the screen. A button for opening the mouth and viewing the bottom of the paw is available. For raptors, you can also open the wings.
  • You can now apply all body tufts to the canis instead of only three
  • Canis teeth and tongue options are now seperate, far less confusing
  • Felis teeth and tusk options are now seperate, far less confusing
  • Body size scroll has been locked to four options- 0.5 being the smallest, 2 being the highest. Gigantism has been updated to 2.5 and dwarfism has been updated to 0.3 to ensure they are still the largest and smallest sizes. This locking of sizes will be useful later with player interactions.
  • All editor options have a lock added to them so that they will no longer change when randomized.
  • Added a tooltip functionality. Will increase it's use in more areas as time progresses. If you would like something in particular to have a tooltip please let me know!



Fixes



  • Teleporting to Soto would have your location marked as being in Tombet. This is also fixed for Wolf Islands
  • Canis inside of mouth was not changing when changing the flesh color
  • Ambience sound priority is lower, animal sounds are higher- this should prevent barks and other noises from going unheard
  • Lowered resolution in a lot of textures for optimization

2.4.6- Last of the Bug Patches

There might be some other minor bugs floating around, but this should clear up the last couple months of issues left over.
Coming up is some changes to the editors again- a randomizer lock. I also wanted to tackle nametags and the minimap! There's quite a few things on my list I want to change.

Fixes



  • Raptor wing flapping sounds are back (again)
  • Gem gecko should not repeat his initial conversation every time you speak to him
  • Young canis back mane should not hover over the back anymore
  • Log in sound made softer
  • Gem gecko sounds made softer
  • Footsteps made softer
  • If you attempt to select feather tails on felis or the raptor tails and have the main color of those on a low opacity, you will get a warning that the tails will be invisible
  • Kangadillo is available again
  • Camera will not rotate when using the bug reporter in editor
  • Terrain tree rendering is contingent on your distance settings
  • Underwater effects occur on camera again
  • Wolf Isles Minimap is now accurate
  • Editor cameras no longer default to butt view
  • Camera controls are less sensitive by default
  • Camera is more zoomed out by default
  • Registration month and day scrolls were broken, replaced by a text input box including the year. Age is calculated by this now.
  • Layering of UI on main menu was making the logo cover registration panel- this is fixed
  • Y rotation sensitivity for the camera was not applied, it should actually function properly now

2.4.4 Patch

Fixes



  • In game purchases are fixed
  • You should be incapable of purchasing anything you already own from the IGP store
  • Other players will no longer duplicate in game when they change characters
  • You should be able to press the Grow button on your character again if the first time goes wrong
  • Characters no longer share inventory
  • Weather following camera should not be so shaky now
  • Randomizer now randomizes eyes for all species
  • Character markings properly render in water- no more visible markings when in water
  • Raptor tails no longer pile up when switching preset characters
  • Drinking freshwater pop up does not occur when swimming
  • Tombet undertree cavern is visible
  • Swimming works properly again
  • Camera has smoother collision now
  • Adjustments to the zooming in and out of the camera




Known Issues



  • Underwater effects do not happen to water when the camera goes under the surface
  • Camera may move when making bug reports in the editor- but it should not occur when in Primordial
  • Shader layering for far away trees is still bad- This is a Unity engine problem so I need to find a workaround for it
  • "Change Character" still hangs
  • Switching characters a lot seems to cause issues, its better to restart the game after four or five

2.4.3 Patch

  • Map should be visible for everyone
  • Return of grasslands extension
  • Wing feather markings for raptor are no longer out of order
  • Canis editor had an issue with eye options- it's fixed now
  • Exiting offline editors should put you back onto the main menu
  • Feather harvesting duplication glitch is fixed
  • While hovering, you will no longer begin flight again by pressing space when typing in the chat box
  • Arrow keys for horizontal movement of the camera is no longer moving at a crawl
  • Edited characters will save
  • Toggle Equips button working in all editors again
  • Credits no longer cut off
  • Preset preview no longer looks wonky- no more swallowing darkness- Added a light source on camera as well for more visibility
  • Stars and sky were not properly working- they do now
  • Raptor wing trails stop emitting when you land in water
  • Animal editors marking and other side boxes will now close if you switch body parts
  • Camera controls are no longer inverted- the option to invert X and Y axis has been added to Settings
  • Seperate vertical and horizontal sensitivity sliders were added to Settings
  • Capybaeren dialogue works fine and good again
  • Felis feather tail markings should now behave properly- as well as normal tail markings depending on chosen tail type
  • Map syncing does not depend on other players' locations
  • Resources except for stick trees, pink and red flowers have been moved to relevant locations:
    blue flowers near fresh water
    white flowers on mountaintops
    yellow flowers near palm trees
    black flowers near graveyards
    green flowers near essence pools
    purple flowers in caves
  • Gem gecko should communicate with you again
  • Patches the Hyena preset was under the incorrect username
  • Settings was not showing you ALL of it's settings- It shows everything now
  • Raptor was not syncing to other players- it does now
  • Character editors zoom in even closer to the character you're editing
  • Randomizing colors was not available in species other than suricate in the editors, everyone can randomize now!
  • Grasslands teleport is now moved to Soto and is under the Soto tree.




Not Yet Fixed



  • Tombet undertree cavern may still be not visible
  • Unsure if characters are aging in game
  • Need to fix the shading layers for water, markings and tree billboards
  • "Change Character" still hangs
  • Canis gums seem to stick out with certain muzzle shapes

2.4.2 Feathers and Fixes!

Apologies on this patch taking so long, I got COVID last week- can you believe it? Pure ass. Stay safe out there.

The grasslands maps have been temp removed- there's some stuff I need to fix with them and I don't want to put misbehaving maps into the game

I made a major change to the editors and I'm using you guys as guinea pigs to see if everything is working well

Changes



  • Changed up main menu
  • Added ear feathers, sorted by right and left, top and bottom- for all species



  • Raptors can now gather feathers by grooming. A feather should be added to your inventory every 5 seconds.
  • Ear feather recipes and variations are unlocked as you gather feathers all the way up to 53
  • Editors are now sorted by body part
  • Raptor wing trails now only show when you've hit top flight speed
  • New in game camera (Oh boy)
  • Added options for the color filter under Graphics in settings
  • Max view Distance increased from 2000 -> 5000
  • Capybara should talk again (Forgot to test this)

  • Cavern under Tombet should be visible again
  • Offline Editors should work fine
  • Suricate old tilted muzzle returned
  • Canis pharaoh ears returned
