Fixed the major issue with combat (needs confirmation) ..

We possibly fixed the huge issue most players are facing with combat, which is the player not being able to attack and the buttons not registering.
But we still need need confirmation that the combat is now normal, play the game and see if one or two of these happen:
-Time delay when doing a light attack.
-Not being able to attack after you get parried by an enemy.
-Not being able to attack suddenly or after switching to a new level.
-Heavy attack animation is stuck.
-Nothing of the above happened.

About the current big issue with combat...

A lot of players are having issues with attack buttons not being responsive.
It seems that the issue started to happen after update v0.9.6, the update delivered a new combat system, so the issue is now a little more visible to us.
Also, we would face some trouble fixing it since we didn't face it on our PC, or even experienced by the game beta testers.
We will try to fix the issue as soon as we can, meanwhile we apologize for the Inconvenience.

[Update v0.9.7] Local VS mode and major combat bug fixes.

Fixes:
Fixed major bugs in the new combat system, which are:
-Not being able to Light attack after doing heavy attacks continuously.
-Game breaking animation glitch involving neutral heavy attacks.

VS mode:
You can now play against another player! (local)
You can play on: The same keyboard - Keyboard and controller - two controllers (not tested)

A match is 3 rounds, and in a round each player has 3 Lifes.

We plan to add Post-Match statistics like "Damage dealt" "Abilities used".

[Update v0.9.6] Redone combo system, new abilities, sound options and more!

The new combo system:

We remade the combo system to make it smoother and easier to execute.

Before, to do a J-K-J combo, you had to press K perfectly when the animation of the first J attack ends, which is kinda tough to pull off.

Now, and with inspiration from MKX, you just have to press J-K-J respectively at any speed and the combo will execute automatically.

The new abilities:

-Teleportation:
Teleport behind an enemy, the enemy will be confused for 4 seconds.
Doesn't work on mages.

Cost: 10HP.
Regeneration: 30 Seconds.


-Mana:
A ground slam attacks that hits both directions.
Best used when there are 2+ enemies around, to ensure you regain the health penalty.
Cost: 30 HP
Damage: 25 HP
Regeneration: 40 Seconds



Sound options:
Added 2 options to change sound and music volume.

Bug fixes:
-Fixed a crash that happens when pressing P earlier in the game.
-Fixed "continue" taking you to the last played Monster mode level instead of the main mode.


[Update v0.9.5] Controller support, new mode and abilities, and more!

New mode: Monster mode!
Play as the creatures you fight in the game to take down the hero!
Play through the new mode to unlock the new abilities.

2 New abilities:
-Acid:
Spawn a cloud that rains acid on your enemies.



cost: 25 HP
Damage: 2 HP/drop
Regeneration: 35 seconds

-Darkness:
Continuous stream of semi-homing projectiles. (It costs less HP than what is shown in the GIF below)



Cost: 0.35 HP/projectile
Damage: 3 HP/projectile
Regeneration: Has no cooldown.

Controller support:
Now you can play the game using an Xbox 360/one controller.
I updated most of the user interface to fit the controller gameplay.

Controls:
D pad: move.
(X): Light attack.
(Y): Heavy attack.
(B): Use pickup.
(A): Interactions (levers, text..etc).
LB: Use ability #1.
RB: Use ability #2.
RT: Use ability #3.

Crash fix:
Fixed a major crash in the final boss level.

Known general major issues and bugs:

-If you play a level in a mode besides the story mode, the "Continue" in the main menu will take you to that level and erases your progress in the story mode, please finish the story mode and then proceed to play the extra modes.

-Don't use the new ability "Darkness" when there are no enemies or one remaining enemy with little health (can cause a crash)

Bug fixes and showcasing unlockable abilities!

I've fixed some of the recurring bugs.
-A bug where you stay frozen even when you break free or get hit (major)
-Some of the text issues (minor)
-Raised the ceiling in some parts of the game.

The current unlockable abilities:

-Lightning: A strong, short ranged lightning attack.



-Earth : A powerful ground attack - Earth spikes from underground.



-Death : An orb of darkness, sucks the life out of enemies.



-Wind : A tornado that follows the nearest enemy.
