Chasing Static follow-up Hollowbody now has a free demo!
Hey all, I have some exciting news for you!
I've just released a public demo for my new game, Hollowbody!
Hollowbody is a tech-noir survival horror that mixes influences from Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner with classic survival horror gameplay inspired by Silent Hill, Kuon and Haunting Ground.
The demo is now live ahead of it's inclusion in Steam's upcoming Next Fest event where I will also be doing a Develop Q&A.
You can find out more about the game and download the demo on the store page below, It would really help me out if you clicked that wishlist button, the more wishlists a title has the more likely Steam is to suggest it to new players!
Thanks all! The response for Chasing Static was amazing, hopefully you all enjoy this one too :)

New game announced from the creator of Chasing Static π
Hey all,
I've been quietly working working away on my next project, a spiritual successor to Chasing Static called Hollowbody.
I was blown away by the response to Chasing Static and have been reading each and every one of your reviews/comments to make sure that my next game builds upon any criticisms you had with Static.
Hollowbody is heavily inspired by classic survival horror games of the early 2000's. Titles like Silent Hill 2/3, Rule of Rose and Kuon. I've made sure to carry over the emphasis on narrative and atmosphere that was core to the themes of Chasing Static.
You can find more information about the story, gameplay and watch the brand new reveal trailer over on my Kickstarter page:
Thanks again for all your support these past two years. Here's to the next game π₯
Updated to v1.2 - Patch Notes
Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you for your support with the game's release. I've been truly overwhelmed by the response to the game and couldn't be happier.
I've tried to address some of the issues that have been mentioned so far, these are sort of 'high priority' fixes that (hopefully) shouldn't cause any additional issues on top of fixing what has previously been reported. If you notice any weirdness please let me know if the community forum.
Your save games will continue to work with this patch.
The following patch notes contain some minor spoilers.
<*> Fixed Erudite achievement and ending trigger
To obtain the erudite ending and achievement you will need to dispose of three of the wandering spirits using the Modified Loudspeaker, collect 9 notes and scan at least 17 echoes. A brief post-credits scene will also play.
<*> Fixed 'Minty' the sheep
The sheep at Ground Zero will no longer be stuck in the fence. I cut him loose and added a sign warning him not to do it again. I have also added an additional sheep for good measure.
<*> Fixed issues with bird and rat AI
Rats now run around and play idle animations. Birds should appear less deranged.
<*> Fixed issue with camera not showing polaroid after use
This is purely a visual fix but it was bugged in the release build.
<*> Fixed issue when starting Restless Dreams mode directly after finishing the game
There was an issue with the interface not enabling on the new run of the game, blocking progress at the church scene.
<*> Fixed an unusual bug that caused narration to play (subtitles only) at Ground Zero when it shouldn't.
<*> Added additional visual clues/tutorialisation to the initial FDMD usage in the tunnels.
Some folks were missing the first echo by the gate downstairs in the tunnels, made it a little more obvious.
<*> Fixed a handful of typos in subtitles.
Subtitles and voiceover now match for Aneira when talking about the electrician, removed a few audio descriptions from subtitles that were causing confusion.
<*> Added visual clue for initial echo at Ground Zero.
<*> Removed requirement to scan echoes at Ground Zero in a specific order.
This was causing some players to get a bit stuck at Ground Zero, the stone house echo can now be seen independently of the others.
That's it so far, thanks to those of you who helped track these issues down. I'll continue updating the game and trying to implement as many of your suggestions as possible.
Thanks again for your support this far!
