November 2021 update
Windows: This update fixes certain translations and other minor cosmetic issues.
Mac: This update ensures compatibility with macOS 12 Monterey, and also fixes a sound issue (namely, no sound at all) under certain circumstances.
Linux: As a reminder, we have recently discontinued all Linux games due to insufficient market interest and increasing maintenance costs. The recommended way to play this game now is through Steam's Proton: right-click on the game in your Library, select "Properties", then "Compatibility", and force one of the Proton versions there.
macOS 10.15 Update
We've just issued a small update to the macOS version of the game, which improves compatibility with Retina screens under macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Cumulative Update September 2019
We've just issued a cumulative update (Windows, Mac, Linux) to update the Steam version of the game with the latest improvements, bug fixes, and compatibility tweaks.
Chicken Invaders 5 Bundles
For those of you interested in completing your Chicken Invaders 5 experience, we've released the Deluxe bundle (Chicken Invaders 5 + all DLC). Alternatively, for the ultimate chicken hunter, we have the Complete Set bundle (all Steam Chicken Invaders episodes + all DLC).

Chicken Invaders 5 Update
Today we released an update for Chicken Invaders 5. Apart from minor improvements, it adds language support for: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Czech, and Russian.
Note: We have made changes to the way the game is launched under Mac and Linux, so this update is mandatory for those platforms.
Update: More joystick goodness!
The update released today (v5.04b) improves on last week's update with regards to joystick control. Menus can now more easily be navigated with the D-Pad and the "B" button to go back, and cutscenes can be skipped altogether by pressing the 'menu' button (configurable in Options).
Your user data is fully upgradeable from the previous update.
Note: If you lost your highscores in the previous update and want to recover them, follow these steps:
Disconnect the game from the Steam Cloud (Right-click on game in your Library > Properties > Update > Uncheck "Steam cloud")
Explore to [Steam-Folder] > userdata > [Steam User ID] > 353090 > remote > steamcloud > CI5 > 5.04steam
Delete the file CI5.hst
Run the game
Once you verify that scores have been upgraded correctly, re-connect the game to the Steam Cloud
Analogue joystick/gamepad support
We've just released an update to Chicken Invaders 5 that enhances the game's analogue joystick/gamepad support, so you can now control your spaceship using the thumb stick on your Xbox-style controller!
Up to 4 controllers are supported, with analogue bindings for players 1 and 2 as default. If you prefer the old digital-style controls, you can set it up as usual through the keyboard menu (Options -> Controls -> Keyboard -> Player 1/2 Controls).
