Greetings, Patriots! Dan here, letting you know that Early Access 3 is ON THE WAY! Our focus over the last two weeks has been to clear up those major bugs that are holding players up, specifically:
Ending up between the Red and Blue lines after turning or a takedown
Not respawning properly
Of course, game dev is tricky and these are some tricky bugs, but we WILL get them cleared! We are also looking into ways to increase texture resolution on some UI elements to help improve legibility.
Going forward into the summer, we are looking to put out our first content update which will include the second level of the game, Long Wharf. We are also shifting our development schedule somewhat, and making Sarah (voiced by Ashly Burch) our priority for the next playable character, as her abilities have a lot of technical overhead which will also improve the gameplay and add abilities (items) for Joseph, Ally, and Doug.
We are also happy to announce that, once again, you will be able to play the game at the upcoming Boston Festival of Indie Games! The festival is on September 13 at MIT in Cambridge, MA. We will have the game in tow, hopefully with some new surprises. Tickets ($10 for individuals or $7.50 apiece for bulk orders) are now available for the fest and can be purchased at the website or at this Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2014-boston-festival-of-indie-games-tickets-11616911495
We are hoping to get EX3 out in the next week or two, at which point we will return to our regularly scheduled weekly updates. Until then, thank you for your patience and your continued support!
Thanks again everyone!

Early Access 2 Released
Greetings, Patriots! Once again, we want to thank each and every one of you for making the first week of Children of Liberty Early Access a great one. Obviously the game isn't perfect, or finished, but your feedback is already helping us to build a better product. We have a big list of fixes to get to, and many are already underway. In the meantime, the first update makes some necessary tweaks, additions, and fixes, including:
New Splash Screen Implemented, Control for returning to Main Menu (escape), Main Menu Exit Option. Many thanks to Reactive Studios and Unity!
New sconces added to Warehouse scene to improve lighting on tutorial signs.
Fixed music positioning, level config tweaking for music and new voices.
Fixed wording on Cover Dash tutorial sign. Now reads, "Press Jump while Peeking to Dash over Gaps in Cover."
Fixed the candles throughout the Warehouse level. These should look much nicer now!
Fixed a major bug that would cause the player to stay stuck in cover state if cover was taken against the first wall of the Warehouse level.
Over the coming weeks and months, fixes and improvements will be added bit by bit. This EX2 update is just the first step in our commitment to building a better game.
Let us know what you think and don't forget to send your bug reports in at www.childrenofliberty.us!

Thank You!
Greetings, Patriots! Dan from Lantana Games here. On behalf of the team, I would like to thank each and every one of you for making the first weekend of Children of Liberty's Early Access a great one. In just three days we have gotten very useful feedback, made new friends, and introduced the game to a new audience and new parts of the world. The response has been tremendous, and we've never been in a better position to get cracking at fixing the problems and building the rest of the game.
It's a long road ahead, but we know what needs to be done. Our priorities for this first week are to take care of some of the more easily-fixed problems. We plan to adjust a few things like enemy patterns and the tutorial layout/wording, squash some of the more obvious bugs, and touch up the menus/load screen. We will post all the patch notes when EX2 goes live.
If you want to keep up with development, make sure to follow us on Twitter, @lantanagames and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/lantanagames). We will also be streaming development later this week on Twitch at http://www.twitch.tv/lantanagames.
Once again remember that this game is in early access and there will be bugs! If you find any, report them here or send a report at our Bug Report Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kOtWpotPC6-2nOJp6z9eTDDnhy3edbF6t39nWyA0ZR8/viewform
Thank you for playing! We love you all. Don't be a stranger.
