We are sorry we had to skip last week's update as the schedule system was kind of a big issue for us technically. But finally we're here along with some other updates!
We will keep adding new content & features until v 1.0.
We have 3 types of updates: - Bugfixes (they can happen anytime and we only write a patch note without announcing it) - Friday Updates (we're aiming to have them weekly or biweekly) - Major Updates (approx. once in every 3 months)
We are aiming for 3 major updates until version 1.0 and we will slowly unfold that plan. We are listening very carefully to all the complaints and new design ideas and trying to schedule them in an effective way.
Schedule System
The city runs smootly like clockwork now. Every NPC and building/shops in the game have a schedule system now. So you won't be able to find NPC on the same spot every hour of the day. They have a life.
Also you won't be able to enter to many buildings after evening or midnight. Well except some pubs and nightclubs if you like the nightlife.
The final stage of the schedule system would be to implement a pathfinding system so that NPC's and other extras in the city will start walking around, heading to their destination. This will be enabled on upcoming updates.
As a side effect of the schedule system you might feel that there is less options to do in the city. But don't worry, we'll keep adding some content (also for the night time) to keep the city alive at every hour and day.
Motivation Rework
The way motivation used to work was like walking on thin ice. We had a base value of 50 and every item you consume or action you do gave you some motivation and removed that motivation later on.
This was causing some rare problems to shift the base value of motivation.
We reworked the motivation so that the new base value is now at 30 and your motivation would tend to come back to 30 wherever it is. This will also help you to stay motivated for longer hours.
New values where you receive a payment buff are:
motivation > 40 : "25% bonus performance at work" motivation > 60 : "75% bonus performance at work" motivation > 80 : "145% bonus performance at work"

UPCOMING WEEKS
We are working on the wearable items in the game and also adding some animations around the city.
Cooking recipes will start giving some temporary bufffs.
Addictions to coffee, sweets and alcohol are on their way.
We decided to have a full redesign of the UI. That's a lot of work, therefore mouse implementation will come with that UI update.

Hello Citizens,
I'm glad to introduce the 4th of our regular updates to the game. We will keep adding new content & features until v 1.0.

Schedule System Early Steps
We always wanted to design a city with lots of movement and things to do on every corner. Schedule system would allow us to to program NPC's and objects in the city so that they would appear and disappear at certain hours of the day.
This week we've implemented that to two actions: Running with Jack & Jake brothers or doing yoga with Luis. After you complete their quests, at a certain time of the day, you'll have a chance to do some sports with those guys.
On upcoming weeks, we will add new actions like this and we will set the opening and closing times of shops and offices.
Later, we will set the schedule of NPC's so they would be on other parts of the city according to the day and time of the day.
The final stage of that would be to implement a pathfinding system so that NPC's and other extras in the city will start walking around, heading to their destination.

The restaurant Solange is now accessible with two different quests and another secret way.
Magnus Gym requires a weekly membership card to be able to use the gym.

We will keep working on the schedule system and we will bring new items to the Dreamworld.
We are still working on the mouse implementation and there is a high chance we can go for a full redesign of the UI, so this might wait for our next major update.

Day 29 HOTFIX
Sorry for not having a "Thanks God It's Friday Update" today. We will have to stick with with a bugfix only. But don't worry our content updates will keep coming on upcoming Friday's.
Bug Fixes
Solved an issue causing some quest recipes not showing on level 2,3 kitchens
Solved a duplication issue on fridge when you try to upgrade it. (If this happened to you, you might have to restart the game to solve the issue now)
Solved a gamepad issue on character creation
Solved the invisible wall bug that stopped player from entering the kitchen area

Restaurant/Cafe Content
Here we are, with the 3rd of our Friday updates since the start of Early Access. This Friday has been a bit content heavy compared to other ones.
We are introducing a new UI layout which lets you use something onsite. This allows us to enable content such as having a coffee watching a view at Allegre coffee which reduces stress additionaly to other affects of drinking a coffee from your inventory.
This new onsite UI has a price tag and time cost. It's as if you are choosing from a menu.
We filled almost all the cafe & bar & restaurants with new content with the help of this new UI. You won't be getting out of the bar with your beer at hand anymore :)
Arcade Machine
We want to fill the game with small mini games. Our retired wizard, Henry found an Arcade Machine and has put it inside Boldric's Pawn Shop.
You can buy some coins every day and try to beat the game. Every time you play the game, it takes 15 minutes, 15 bucks (the coin) and it reduces 2 stress and gives some game interest.
There are 10 levels on the arcade machine and your chance to beat each level is 20% without any extra game interest. Each level you gain in your game interest, you receive additional chance to beat the levels (Up to 87% at level 10 game interest).
If you beat a level, the machine gives your coin back, if you can't, the machine restarts from level 1 after a short wait.
If you can beat level 10, you receive the "King of the Arcades" perk, that doesn't do anything yet in the game but we might find something for that in the future. At least some flavor dialogs, I can promise that :)
New Content
Board Game Club requires a membership and there are several board games you can play onsite, it's a great place to improve your coding skills (yes board games improve coding!)
Allegre Cafe has a new menu and now it's the main place for a vegan/vegetarian diet
Astro Cafe has a new menu and it's a bit more economic alternative for eating and drinking
Greenlight, Sha-ka and M-bar have onsite drink menus as well.
Arcade Machine is now playable within Boldric's
More characters are supported for the character name field

Next week we are coming up with a long awaited update. The basic form of schedule system. So that shops, offices, cafes/restaurants will have an opening / closing time. Also NPC's will start appearing and disappearing at certain places of the city.

NEW RECIPES, INTEREST ITEMS , OH! EVENTS, NEXT GEN GAMES AND MORE
Every Friday or two we will try to update the game with new gameplay and narrative content.
This Friday, we expanded the ingame content with balance issues in mind. People were having a hard time findine recipes at the start of the game and also managing their stress level while trying to work hard.
So these new content and balance changes will help a lot for a better gameflow we believe.
Motivation will be more important than before as the base money at work is increased to 5 from 4 in half hour. So when you work for 2 hours, you will be able to make 20 base money instead of 16 and if you have full motivation (above 80%) you will be able to generate 40 in 2 hours.
With current available motivation options it's totally possible.
FAVORITE INTERESTS
The importance of favorite interests are increased as they are giving lots of motivation right now. When you are able to increase your favorite interest by 1 point, you will also get 10 motivation for 32 hours in the Realworld.
This will help you to work with full motivation all the time at work and if you can't max it out, be sure to get some help from sweets!
OH! CONCERTS AND EVENTS
These are pricey events that you can find the tickets in Life Engine (the music shop) and you can use your tickets on the door of the big opera building.
We will polish how this works a bit more in the future updates but currently it's functional and it gives a lot of interest and motivation!
NEXTGEN GAMES
These are a bit more expensive than normal games but they are worth it. You can only use nextgen games on a nextgen game console.
We also fixed switching between TV's and game consoles and they work without issues right now.

Base working money is increased from 4 to 5
Starting recipes are earned much faster
The item list in Mani Market has changed so there is a higher chance you will find the items you're looking for at the start of the game
Favorite interests give much more motivation

Day 12 HOTFIX
Balance Changes
Interests no more give probabilistic values. All interest activities give flat values according to quality of the item consumed
Every new interest level decreases the amount of interest gained by a multiplier 0.95 . On the other hand it's quicker to learn the first couple interest.
Book/comic reading time has been fixed to 4 hours for commodity books (non-quest related)
Culinary interest now give a new sauce recipe on every new level until the 7th. Some of them are necessary to cook 2nd level and 3rd level recipes.
Hammer use on a napsheep now gives back the through as well
UI Update
Character Creating UI has been updated. It's easier to move and enter a name.
Bug Fixes
Missing cooking recipes has been added.
Kitchen level 3 upgrade now works properly
and some minor visual updates and other bugfixes.
Please note that due to work from home conditions we couldn't update the Mac version today and it will updated probably tomorrow.

FISHING IN DREAMWORLD (Dummy Feature)
Every Friday or two we will try to update the game with new gameplay and narrative content.
This Friday we're bringing a dummy feature: Fishing.
So you might have wondered what the rubber were for in the Dreamworld. You can craft a bellows and an inflatable pool with them.
Bellows pumps air to the inflatable pool and once its done, you can make yourself a fishing rod to start trying your luck on the pool. It might even give you an Edgar Dung sometimes.
LEFTOVERS
We've also hidden some leftover foods to garbage cans so if you're out of money and starving you can follow a homeless diet.
Unfortunately we forgot to update the icon of the item and it will appear as a "?" until Monday. We'll be fixing this with a hotfix on Monday.
Eating leftovers doesn't cost you any money but it will cost your motivation for a day.
Next week we're coming with more farming options in the Dreamworld. Stay tuned.

The motivation bonus will have an effect on the difficulty of the game as well. Now, motivation is much more important than the previous builds.
Day 1 HOTFIX
Balance Changes
- There is a constant stress drain on the character whenever you are in Realworld. You get -0.6/h stress drain. (Note that working gives you 2 stress/h and if you work when you are hungry you get 8 stress/h) -Durability of all axes and pickaxes are increased - You won't be able to see the interests of NPC's you haven't met. You need to at least say hi to learn about their interests.
Graphic Settings
-There is default vsynching in the game now. Therefore limiting your FPS and no tearing.
UI Update
Temporary moods are now visibile. You can test it by trying to become a vegetarian or vegan in the game. They don't have any effects yet, just flavor.
Bug Fixes
Now you can properly upgrage your TV when you have a console connected to it. No more texture displacement for Megan and Tyson characters.
