Enhancements and Bug Fixes Galore

Hey everyone,

I've had a productive week working on City Game Studio, focusing on enhancing the user interface and addressing pesky bugs. Here's a breakdown of the key highlights:

UI Improvements

I've been busy adding informative tooltips throughout the game, making it easier for you to understand what each button does. Additionally, I've revamped the studio manager panel, introducing more intuitive and visually appealing icons. These changes aim to provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience.

Upcoming Competitors

While I initially planned to introduce new competitors this week, I realized that this would require some adjustments to the mod maker. To ensure a seamless integration, I've decided to tackle this task head-on next week. Stay tuned for exciting additions to the game!

Thank you for your continued support and feedback. Your insights are invaluable in shaping City Game Studio into the best it can be. Stay engaged, and keep those ideas coming!

Stay tuned for more updates on City Game Studio, and until next time,

Improving the Exit Panel and Adopting New Feline Friends

Hey everyone,

In the ever-evolving world of City Game Studio, I've been hard at work this week, implementing exciting changes to enhance your gaming experience. Let's dive right into what's new!

Exit Panel Overhaul

One of the primary focuses this week was revamping the exit panel. The improvements include the introduction of eye-catching icons and the highly anticipated "Save Game As" feature. Now, players have the freedom to create new save slots for their games, a feature many of you have been eagerly waiting for.

A Splash of Color for Stray Cats

In our virtual world, even our feline friends deserve a bit of variety. Until now, adopting a stray cat always resulted in a grey companion. However, I'm thrilled to announce that you can now find orange stray cats.

What's on the Horizon

Looking ahead to next week, I'll continue my journey through the interface, introducing new icons and fine-tuning various aspects. Expect to see improvements like confirmation pop-ups when canceling game development or introducing new competitors.

Thank you for your continued support and valuable feedback. Your insights help shape City Game Studio into the best it can be. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, happy gaming!

Until next time,
Xavier aka Binogure

Demolition and Game Engine Fix - v1.15.0 Devlog

Hello City Game Studio community,

After a brief hiatus due to health concerns (COVID), I'm back in action and excited to share some exciting updates for our beloved game. This week, I've been hard at work on some significant features and bug fixes for the upcoming v1.15.0 update.

Demolish with a Purpose

One of the standout additions is the ability to demolish buildings in the game. Whether it's a studio, university, or convention center that's no longer serving your game development empire, you can now tear them down. We've streamlined the process with a new button on the world map, making it more intuitive than ever. Additionally, you'll find this option in the studio manager panel for even quicker access. Keep your cityscape tidy and efficient.

Engine Fix

Ever felt frustrated when competitors got their hands on your game engine way too early? Well, fret no more. In this update, we've addressed a pesky bug that allowed competitors to use your engines while they were still in development. Starting now, your engines are off-limits to rivals until they're ready to roll. Protect your innovations and maintain your competitive edge.

I'm thrilled about these changes and can't wait for you to experience them firsthand. Your feedback and support have been instrumental in shaping City Game Studio, and I'm committed to making it the best game it can be.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, happy gaming!

Streamlined Console Porting

Hello, fellow game enthusiasts!

This week has been all about enhancing the gaming experience in City Game Studio. I've been listening closely to your feedback, and one of the top requests has been the ability to target multiple consoles when developing a game. I'm excited to share that I've taken a significant step in that direction.

Imagine this: you've crafted a fantastic game, and it's ready for the world. Now, with our latest update, you can seamlessly port your game to another console right from the main interface. It's efficient, intuitive, and designed to make your game development journey smoother than ever.

But that's not all! I've got more in store for you. In the upcoming week, I'll be focusing on fixing a bug in the game engines and exploring the possibility of studio demolition. Your invaluable feedback continues to shape the game, and I'm dedicated to delivering the best possible experience.

Refining and Expanding: City Game Studio v1.15.0 Devlog

Hey everyone,

This week has been incredibly productive as I dive into the upcoming v1.15.0 update for City Game Studio. Listening to your invaluable feedback, I've focused on enhancing the in-dev game panel interface, making it even more intuitive. Plus, you'll now find console generation details in the tooltips.

One exciting feature is the acquisition of competitor studios, but there's a twist – the staff you acquire will now be seamlessly integrated into their original studios, ensuring a smoother transition and more realistic gameplay.

In the upcoming week, I'm set to address a pesky bug where the competition can access your unfinished game engines, even though that's not fair play. Plus, I'll be working on a brand-new feature: studio demolition. Now you can buy a studio and reshape the gaming landscape by demolishing it.

Thanks for your continuous support, and I'm thrilled to bring these updates to life. Keep the fantastic suggestions coming, and let's keep making City Game Studio better together.
