What to expect in Climber: Sky is the Limit - Free Trial
The first two in-game mountains will be yours to conquer. First, the Tutorial Mountain will teach you the basics of the game, while being reasonably easy to summit, then the Manaslu will test what you've learned.
Tutorial Mountain is a fictional peak (somewhere in Nepal) created from scratch by us, to help you better understand core game mechanics and prepare you for the real challenge.
Manaslu is where the real fun begins, while still having some tutorial elements, this mountain presents a challenge for beginner climbers. The characteristic shape of the mountain, resembling two horns is an experimental polygon for climbers. A relatively safe route for climbing a peak at the height of 8156 m. will allow you to prepare for expeditions on higher and harder eight-thousanders. Relatively safe doesn't mean you'll reach the peak on your first try, be prepared...
44 Items
Preparation is key in the mountains, and we'll give you all the means to be prepared. Both peaks will have Required Items you'll need to attempt the expedition to ease you on your first contact with the game. But after buying them you'll still have some money left for your own additional preparations
The equipment you'll be able to use varies, you'll have to balance out costs and profits.
Loads of Challenges
From ice axe climbing to balancing your stamina, mental health, body temperature, and hunger. Climber: Sky is the Limit - Free Trial peaks will test you in various ways. Keep in mind that's only a part of things you'll be able to experience in the full game!

Climber: Sky is the Limit - Free Trial Incoming!
Hello Climbers! Soon you'll get a chance to test yourself during the two first mountain expeditions in Climber: Sky is the Limit completely for free.
Hello Climbers, it's finally the time to reveal the mountain that had to be in the game, the highest peak on earth - Mount Everest. Get ready for the long climb!
Let us be your guide:
Highest (8848 m.) and the most popular summit in the world. The path to the top is technically varied. It runs through challenging Khumbu Glacier (which will check your ice picking skills), breath-taking, avalanche threatened Wester Cauldron, and the serac fraughted mountain wall of Lhotse. From the top of the world, you'll be able to see a breathtaking Himalayan panorama.
In-game map of the mountain:
A. Camp One, from here you start your way to the top. The road splits into two paths. 1. Moderately easy path, leads through boulders and icy rocks left over from the glacier. 2. An alternative path to the second camp, through the tunnel. It starts with an ice-covered area. Steep slopes.
B. A convenient place to camp. 3. The area full of ice crevices. Bring a ladder and watch your steps. 4. Route through a steep, icy ascent. 5. Very steep surface covered with ice and wide rift to overcome. Then the route splits into two paths. 6. Vertical ice wall - ice axes required. 7. A steep trail between the rocks.
C. Another place to set up a camp. Large exposure. Two paths lead to the top. 8. A stone climb ended with an ice wall. 9. Alternative path - climbing wall.
D. A place to regenerate before attacking the top. 10. The last leg before the summit. Dangerous and steep ice-covered area.
The weather on Mount Everest is not as harsh as on some other mountains, which means you can prepare some lighter clothes to conserve your stamina (and money - or better buy some extra food) You gonna need it for the long journey ahead.
One of the hardest and most memorable parts of the Mount Everest climb is the serac area full of ice crevices, you'll have to carefully place your ladder and sometimes use some extra belay to traverse through.
The routes of Mount Everest also abound in vertical rock climbing walls, they are one of the longest and hardest (have few and less certain fulcrums). You have to keep your stamina high if you want to overcome them.
The summit push itself can also catch you off guard. Conserve your ice screws to the very end!
There is a lot more to the routes of Mount Everest, but we let you find that out yourselves!

New Mountain - K2!
Hello Climbers, today we want to show you another mountain recently implemented in the game - K2, widely considered the planet's toughest and most dangerous mountain to climb. It is no different in Climber: Sky is the Limit!
Let us be your guide on Savage Mountain:
The most difficult mountain in the world, the classic pyramid shape. From the base to the top (8611 m.) the steepness of the slopes varies between 45 – 90 degrees. It's about two and a half football fields shorter than Everest, but it's widely considered the planet's toughest and most dangerous mountain to climb. Every fourth climber never returns after reaching the summit. K2 expedition will require using various techniques. To this date, only 377 people have summited the mountain. Become one of them in Climber: Sky is the Limit.
In-game map of the mountain:
A. Camp one, from here you start your way to the top. 1. Straight road, divided into two routes leading to the top 2. The route starts in the crevice and goes through the icy tunnel 3. Moderately mild, icy area with rocks. Use of hooks and screws recommended.
B. Convenient place to camp and regenerate. 1. Very steep and narrow passage between the rocks. 2. Black Pyramid - a characteristic rock climbing wall.
C. Place for another camp before climbing with ice axes. Exposure area. 6. Vertical ice wall - ice axes required. 7. Steep and dangerous entry between the rocks. Risk of stone avalanches. 8. The last approach before the summit. Icy area with sharp rocks. Exposure.
D. The beginning of the next route to the top. A place to camp and choose the strategy. 9. Steep approach along an icy slope. Large exposure. 10. Narrow pass above the chasm. Steep, rocky terrain.
E. Last camping place on the second route, regain your strength before the final push. 11. Vertical Ice wall - ice axes required. The rift to overcome. 12. Rock climbing wall, after overcoming it there are only a few steps to the summit. Exposure area.
K2 has one of the most extreme winter conditions among all of the in-game summits, you have to be appropriately prepared to stand a chance of summiting it. We recommend bringing the clothes with the highest insulation to push your temperature resistance to the limit.
Otherwise, you may freeze to your demise easily.
Depending on the path you choose you may encounter:
slippery ice tunnels,
loads of steep walls surrounded by rocks,
and the famous Black Pyramid!
Remember to bring lots of extra belay with you, you'll need those hooks, ice screws, pickets, and long ropes on your way to the top.
More exciting things await on the routes of K2, but they are yours to find.

New Mountain - Gasherbrum I!
Hello Climbers, today we want to show you another mountain recently implemented in the game - Gasherbrum I, as well as a new gameplay concept we're testing right now.
Let us be your guide:
The highest summit in the Gasherbrum nest, at the height of 8080 m. In order to start climbing, you have to traverse an 11 km glacier filled with ice rifts. After a technically demanding road in a couloir, you reach the distinctive summit in the shape of a fish's fin.
In-game map of the mountain:
1. The starting point of the expedition, an easy way to the first camp.
A. Camp one, from here you'll start your way to the top. 2. Dangerous approach, the long icy glacier slope between the rocks, very steep. 3. Land decline, boulders, and the beginning of the chasms. 4. Large risk of falling rocks, a chasm to overcome. 5. Vertical ice wall. Climbing axes are required.
B. Convenient place to regenerate after climbing. 6. Gentle approach to another ice wall.
C. The last place to set a camp safely. 7. Snowy and steep traverse with a chasm in the middle and on the left side. 8. Summit road. Moderately easy in good weather. Starts with a short climb.
The hardest moments of Gasherbrum I climb will await you at the start, the glacier slope requires serious preparation (bring loads of ice screws and at least 100-150m of rope with you!) and belay.
Watch out for how much rope you got left!
Another difficult moment comes when traversing huge chasms, you'll have to figure out how to get past them, because the ladder may simply not be enough!
More exciting things await you on the way to the Gasherbrum I top, but we'll let you discover them out for yourself when Climber: Sky is the Limit will be out!
