New Winter themed costumes! The Halloween ones will keep working but you can’t select them again if you swap to a winter costume.
Changed multiplayer map selection menu environment a little.
Reduced default animated skybox quality to save on performance.
Fixed issue that would cause voices to not work if a level took too long to load.
Various small bugfixes.
A couple of people have been complaining about performance, so I will focus on optimisation more for the next update and make sure things run well before adding more new things.
Meanwhile the less high detail dynamically rendered skybox should save on performance quite a bit, if you want to save even more set it to any static skybox using the menu on the wall in front of you and to the left when you spawn in.
Update 11/20/2017
Main game:
Fixed multiple bugs related to multiplayer hand animation syncing I found.
Winter update preparations! - this is going to be fun.
Added brand-specific badges for (most) Windows Mixed reality headsets.
I'll be adding to the different branded badges later, don't worry if your chosen brand isn't in this update, it'll still show up as a Mixed Reality headset in multiplayer! :)
Update 11/15/2017
Main game:
Added fallback mechanism for "show controllers" option so it uses solid, non-seethrough OpenVR provided models if the controller you're using doesn't have a known edited version of the model to show.
This is mainly meant for people using unknown headsets, or, temporarily at least, the Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets.
I will get to adding a custom controller model for those soon.
Update 11/10/2017
Level editor:
Made signs scalable, for best results use the “Scale” slider in their option menu.
Added a “text only” option to signs, which disables their sign model and just gives you floating text.
Added a “Type” button which opens a dropdown of different types to set your selected block to.
Just some level editor features that were requested and not too hard to add.
Update 11/7/2017
Main game:
MP - Fixed issue with microphone being disabled if your headset disconnects for some reason- it will automatically switch to any microphone that is set to be the default if your currently set microphone drops out or switches for any reason. It'll also switch back if your headset mic reconnects after dropping out. (Obviously just muting yourself still works fine)
Adjusted controller position for Mixed Reality headset controllers. This will probably later be fixed at a driver level so games like mine don’t need to adjust it themselves but until then this will make my game a lot more playable. - It was just fixed at a driver level by Microsoft! Go for the Beta branch on the Mixed Reality SteamVR Preview.
Not a big update, but people were sometimes having problems with their microphones and having to rejoin to fix it, this should solve any problems related to that.
