Climbtime

version 1.38

Hi all,

Added another separate leaderboard for friends, so players can challenge and see their friends best level times.

Also removed the below confusing options from the pause menu:
-show rock
-rock jump
-glide

I had these in originally as a way to make the game easier/simpler, but if used they make player time scores invalid due to making the levels easier. So just leaving them out for now, if folks want them back, let me know by message or discussion post.

Players can still glide after reaching the level top block and I will probably add rock jump option back in as default for crystal hunt mode if I get feedback about anyone playing that mode.

version 1.36

Hi all,

Many thanks to everyone playing the game and the feedback I've gotten so far. I added 3 new achievements to encourage players to improve their best times on level 1 (less than 60 seconds, less than 30 seconds) and also explore the full levels at level 8 and upward. To enter a specific level, press escape key and put a number from 1 to 100(or upwards to 2^32) in the entry box at screen middle bottom and then cursor click on the game window to regain game focus. Or alternatively to enter a specific level that you wish to start from by default, press F1 for the pause menu and enter the level number in the 'level start' field - this will be the level the game default starts from the next time the game is launched after exiting.

Based on the interest from Vive VR owners about utilizing the Vive controllers, that is what I am working on currently - to also support the vive controller(s) as the interface for people looking to play the game with that setup. Should be fun/immersive to try using a physical jump as input to the game. Hoping to have something to try by sometime next week.

Also working to bring a basic bot/droid in at the game start/introduction for new players to help narrate some of the 'dry/boring' to read text instructions and add a bit of flavor. Apologies where the art content is overly simple or primitive, want to make further passes on the art content once the core mechanisms and functionality is better established.

Plenty more ideas to work with in developing the game and will post updates to try and keep people informed on new or upcoming changes.

Congrats to 'Just Juice' who holds the current #1 spot of 20 entries on level 1 at 47.089 seconds. Leaderboard levels 2-30 are still relatively unpopulated.

Special thanks to 'Whazam' for the screenshots and 'Gaming Authoritah' for the youtube video review.
