Whats New?
This Halloween we've added a new and improved achievement award icon (see below) and we've updated the store front to accept AUD coming November so that those down under are still able to purchase!
Coaster of Carnage will remain in Early access throughout the year due to some big changes in Oculus software. It was our most sincere hopes to have the full version released this Halloween, but due to the changes Oculus made, the entire game needs an overhaul to be 100% Rift compatible. So there was a choice to be made, end Oculus support and move forward with the Vive version alone (which wouldn't be fair for out thousands of Rift users!), or continue development and aim for next year for full release.

This is a huge update for Rift owners, in this update I focused on Oculus Rift compatibility. I was able to get it to play much more smoothly on the Oculus Rift. However there is still work to be done with Rift compatibility such as touch controller support and a couple of triggers!

UPDATE - 0.965 Leap Motion Support
In this update I addressed the issues with Leap Motion support, and added Leap Motion support to the menu screen as well. You can use Leap Motion in combination with tracking controllers, or by itself. At this point you do not have a flashlight unless you are using a tracking controller.
There were also some minor performance improvements, and some small modifications to the UI and improvements to the VR device detection.

UPDATE - 0.964 Steam Achievements and More!
This is a big update! Coaster of Carnage VR is now fully integrated with Steamworks API and the first achievement is available now to unlock!
I also increased the total track length, and increased the overall height, for a faster more exciting ride.
Mother spider :MH_Spider: now has a cozy little home built, complete with a food pantry.
There were some minor improvements to SFX and overall performance.
There is still some work to be done on the coaster path animation, but that will be in another update.

UPDATE - 0.963 Reorient View Using 'R' Key
There are a few big changes in this update. The most significant is the ability for Vive users to reorient your view using the 'R' key. Use this to help position yourself into the seat of the coaster properly!
Also another significant update, Coaster of Carnage VR is now integrated with the Steamworks API. You'll notice that if you are logged into Steam, your username is now displayed at the top of the menu screen. If you are not logged into Steam, a notice will be displayed in place of your username.
App now detects whether you are using OVR or OpenVR. This is a step in the right direction to get everything working great on the Oculus Rift!
The chaperone boundaries have been removed from the menu screen. I don't think they are necessary seeing as this is intended to be a seated game, and it was just clunky looking and in the way.
Other than that there were some minor performance improvements.

edit: PS I am currently experimenting with Achievements. The current Achievement that you see is not fully setup yet, and you cannot earn this Achievement just yet!

UPDATE - 0.962 Clown Rider Animation and Inverse Kinematics
In this update the clown in the back seat is animated.
I also set up inverse kinematics on the clown rider and mother spider to give them a realistic looking grip.

UPDATE - 0.961 Improved Rift Support / Arachnophobia
In this update I added the ability to play the game by hitting the 'Enter' key on the keyboard so that those users without a Vive controller can now get past the menu screen. This should (experimental!) make it so that Oculus Rift players can play the application even though they will not have hands yet at this point.

Also I added the mother spider! :MH_Spider: Thanks for the suggestion fishhead420! I will be doing work on the mother spider in future updates, giving her a bit more life, but for now this little addition should add to the fright factor for anyone with an ounce of arachnophobia.
Also made some other minor updates, such as improved spider 2's animation path, and some UI changes.

UPDATE - 0.96 - Winter Wonderland!
In this minor update, I added a trigger that reads the current date and adds some snow to the terrain to make for a more seasonal touch to the ride during the month of December! (Sorry Australia, you chose to be different and have winter in the summer time, not my fault).
