Throughout the time, development team has received many suggestions and comments, all of which have been the motives that drive us to make CODE2040 better. After collecting players’ feedback and foreseeing the future game development plan, it is hard to come to a conclusion that we are unable to meet players’ expectations in the long run nor to endow a sustainable road map for CODE2040. Therefore, we regretfully announce that CODE2040 will no longer be further updated and will be later be discontinued. In the next 90 days after this announcement is made, players are still able to log into the game and enjoy CODE2040. However, operation and its related services will come to a close thereafter.

◆ Gameplay Changes 1. Based on the feedback from several tests, we decided to decrease some weapons' damage (mainly high firing-rate weapons). This adjustment will also indirectly increase TTK (Time to Kill) in CODE2040.
Weapon balance adjusted: TW-106 TK-1 RD-LAMG TW-249 RD-417 TW-107 RD-UMP RD-870 (shotgun shots per bullet has decreased by 2)
The single-shot damage of each weapon has roughly decreased by 22-25%. We understand those are not minor changes, but for the high firing-rate weapons, the increase in TTK will not exceed 20% in general. Relatively speaking, it could increase the reaction time for using SOMA Balls while being attacked. We will pay close attention on the weapon balance and continuously examine the need for further adjustments. In the near future, more weapons will be added in CODE2040.
