Do you tend to enjoy your coffee in solo? We got great news for you! We just released AI fighters for coffence. You can now brush up your skills in single player with 10 different AI skill levels over both DUEL and BRAWL mode. Let’s take a look at everything new in this update:
AI fighters have been added with 10 skill levels.
Main menu rework for a clearer experience and to accommodate the integration of AI fighters.
VFX rework across the board to fit with our art style.
New result screens in all modes and intro screens in DUEL
A coffeepot load of bug fixes from physics crashes to match management issues. The game should be much more stable overall.
Of course we are not done working on the AI and you should notice considerable improvements to it’s behavior in the next few weeks. For now, the AI fighters are locked to random characters and the basic cup, but we want to give you control of their loadouts very soon. Build 2547 Released
We have just released a new build to the live branch. This one features mostly bug fixes and overall stabilizations for a smoother experience, but we also introduced thematized loading screens for all levels.
Here are the release notes:
-Fixed a bug with players not spawning
-Keyboard controls now available in option menu and pause menu
-Multiple bug fixes for four player mode and UI
-Loading screen implementation
-Overall Stabilization

4 Players action in all-new BRAWL MODE!
Hey there Coffencers! We are back with our biggest, boldest, most caffeine infused update yet: THE BRAWL UPDATE.
There is a lot of changes to cover but we’ll focus on the biggest new features in this post:
BRAWL mode is in! You can now play Coffence with 4 players for complete coffee mayhem.
New BLEND RUNNER level made specifically for BRAWL as well as new variants of Pirates of the Carabean and the Mother Bean for 4 player play.
Captain Puccino joins the cast as our latest playable character.
New character models for both Ryan and Kent.
All-new prettier, smoother, more user-friendly menu to make getting into the game a pleasant experience.
Cups and visual effects are now color coded according to which player has them to make the action clearer.
This also comes with many smaller changes across the board to make the game a more polished experience.
With this huge update out of the way, we have put in place many of the building blocks we need to push Coffence forward and develop new content at a brisk pace. You can expect some new updates pretty soon to build upon what we started here.

New Build: Character Selection, Animations and Keyboard Controls
Hey there coffee fans! Hope you had a great week.
Today we are releasing a new build version introducing many important features for the future of Coffence. First off, we are now supporting keyboard and mouse as a control scheme for the game which means you only need one controller to play the game with someone. We will detail the full key layout in a update to our community guide very soon.
The biggest part of this update though is concerning our characters. You can select from 3 differents characters and are no longer tied to a specific character depending on which player you are. For now, all our characters are mechanically (and almost visually for Ryan and Kent) identical, but we will work on differentiating them and balancing them over the coming weeks. We look forward to receiving your feedback on this topic.
The other big upgrade to the characters are the animations. Gone are our placeholder animations set. They have been replaced by a first pass of custom animations. Go ahead and tell us what you think about them!
That's it for this week. Of course we fixed alot of smaller issues along the way and you can expect us to keep patching the game in between the larger build releases.

New Build: The Cupdate!
Hey there fellow Coffencers and thanks for following us into Early Access! Ever since we started this project, we wanted to deliver quick content updates and we aim to start delivering on this promise with this update that we aptly named: THE CUPDATE!
What's new?
Cup Selection: You can now select from 6 different cup types, each presenting their own handling and coffee capacity. Will you go for the espresso cup and it's ultra-fast speed at the cost of having only one drop of coffee? Or do you prefer bringing a coffee pot to a cup fight, giving you tremendous coffee capacity? The choice is now yours! We plan on balancing the different cups further and adding even more quirks to differentiate them.
Bug Fixes: We squashed a bunch of issues ranging from physics crashes to matches not ending properly on a tie. We still got plenty of issues we want to tackle next week, but this is a good start toward making Coffence more polished.
Hope you enjoy this first content drop! Of course this is far from the end. You can expect new exciting things from us in the very near future. For now, choose your cup and get Coffencing!

Welcome to Early Access!
Hey there Coffee fans! Welcome to Early Access!
We wanted to thank all of you for your support from greenlight to this point, it has been invaluable in our quest for coffee based greatness.
What you get today is a beginning in many ways. If you buy Coffence right now, you do not get a polished demo, you are getting an actual game in development with all the bugs and missing features it entails. What you also get is a special occasion to shape the game along with us. We want your feedback, your bug reports and your most wanted features so we can align our priorities with yours.
What you get today is a Local Multiplayer only game, but this will change over time. We have a pretty extensive roadmap of what we want to get into the game over the coming months and we are ready to share some of this with you right now. Of course, our main priority in the coming days will be to clear any major issues you guys come up with in the first build, new content will come afterward.
Here’s our roadmap at a high level:
1-Address bugs and crashes to improve the game’s stability and performance.
• E.g. Performance drops or client experience
2-Improve existing game content and add new features.
• E.g. Adding new characters, adding new coffee based powers, adding new cups, twitch features, achievements and adding our new animations.
3-Develop brand new features
• E.g. 4 player mayhem, 4 player party mode.
That’s the gist of our approach to the game’s development; stabilizing the game, improving the in-game experience, and offering brand new content for our fans! We also want our community to be a part of Coffence. You have a good idea for a coffee power? You would like to see a new Cup in the game? Any idea, good or bad, can always lead to a brilliant new idea. Do not hesitate to share it with the team.
Thanks a lot for joining us on this adventure. The road ahead might be bumpy from time to time, but we are certain that together we can make Coffence a great game. So grap a cup, brew yourself a nice coffee and jump in. We’ve got work to do!

Big news coffee fans, we are releasing Coffence on Steam Early Access on March 14th. We are working extra hard to bring you as much content as possible right out of the gate so keep an eye for further news right here on this page.

Hey there everyone, hope you're having an amazing friday! We've been a bit quieter than usual last week, but you'll see that is was definitely worth the wait.

Sweet right? Now let's dive in!
- New level: The office. This one was a comment we had a lot during the unveiling of our greenlight campaign. People want to Coffence in familiar locations and we are more than happy to comply! Expect more work on the level in the coming weeks including physics objects flying around to add drama.
- Coffee Break Update Lots of work on the visual and audio effects of the power. Now the music changes and amazing vfx swirl all around you. Feel the power.
-More VFX!. Not all of it is visible in this week's video, but all attack types are now color coded in their motion trails and we added new effects for blocking, hitting the ground and much much more!
- Gameplay Tweaks Gone are the days where your ranged attack would clip to the ground! Now the cup reacts to collision and spawns VFX on collision.
- Match Management. Sweet new intro cutscenes, result menus and overall much cleaner presentation from match start to match end.
- Main Menu. We remade the main menu to be entirely based on 3D objects in a environment. We love the results and will keep working on it to make it even better.
- New CameraThis is did not make it into the video either, but Charles worked on a new camera system that better track player but also tracks the flying coffee drop so they never leave the screen. It's pretty amazing stuff really.
