CHANGE


  • UI - Notepad will no longer show conditional effects that have no impact
  • UI - Shadows from all items on table
  • Gameplay - Clues needed for completion of chapter one is reduced from 15 to 10
  • Gameplay - Restart level removed from the in game menu, restarts can be done from play in the main menu
  • Gameplay - Tutorial replaced with 'cheat sheet' explaining all icons, 'cheat sheet' can be viewed at any time while playing the game by holding the 'TAB' key




FIXES


  • Bugfix - Bug: if a character has four breakdowns the game crashes
  • Bugfix - Removal of noise thresholds from event lore (this was used for debugging and was released by mistake)
  • Bugfix - Bug: certain events would not show all their stats
  • Bugfix - Bug: in game menu can be opened on top of a cutscene video or another popup window

Release notes are coming in like every Friday. Check out the latest changes, additions, and fixes!

New



  • Art - Event 'Nomad in Trouble' picture
  • Art - Facet (Sophronius) 'BFG 9001' picture
  • Event - Nomad in Trouble (a poor nomad is being eaten by sleepers, will you help)
  • Gameplay - There are now three different ways to end the demo (two ways to win, one way to lose). More will come in the future
  • 'Hazards of Combat' and 'Dangers of Search' are now explained in the mouse-over window.




Changes



  • UI - Instead of three splash screens they are now merged into one
  • UI - mouse over windows no longer have footer text
  • Gameplay - changes to clues and diplomacy now only work if the response has the same type
  • Added description for burning sleepers
  • Better picture handling have reduced the size of the game


Fixes



  • Bugfix - responses no longer pass under the global sliders
  • Bugfix - when facets move overlap each other and produce crooked shadows
  • Bugfix - facet stats not more being negative

  • UI - Mouseover window explaining each row on the notepad
  • UI - Characters without active facets are now colored black to indicate that they are exhausted
  • UI - The conditions in the current chapter are now shown as a bookmark, the highlighted bookmark is the active condition
  • UI - Detail text for a full-screen view of responses, events, and facets (right-click to view)
  • Art - Response 'Wound Care' picture
  • Art - Response 'Investigate' picture

  • UI - Keywords in the text is now replaced with in-line icons
  • UI - Icons on events are now presented from left to right, instead of having fixed locations
  • UI - Full-screen view now has next beside the picture instead of over it
  • UI - If you click the inkpot before having satisfied the response, only the unsatisfied rows in the notepad will be showing a splash effect (as opposed to all rows)
  • UI - Notepad rows that are not relevant to the currently chosen response will now be hidden
  • UI - Mouseover windows design is now specific to what you mouseover, not like before where all pictures shared the same design
  • UI - Icons redesigned so all icons are now on a colored circular background

  • Bugfix - hope is not reduced when characters have a breakdown
  • Bugfix - skipping the intro video would cause an exception later during the gameplay
