Three new Heroes have been added to the game: Baldwin (Strength), Hawkins (Spirit), and Lazaro (Mind). Each of them are designed around tribal type synergy, giving players the power to develop new archetypes for these Heroes through the card submission process. The Bird Doctors share a common pool of emotes.
New Emotes
We've released our remaining bank of Hero emotes, both the ones that were missing from the Season 2 Season Pass, and many others that are available in the Shop. This includes a "GG" emote for each hero.
Kyung Mi Balance
We've updated Kyung Mi's outfit swap effects to the following:
Strength: Give a Strength unit in play or in your hand +1 ATK and Duelist.
Spirit: Give a Spirit unit in play or your hand +1 HP and "Entomb: Draw a card."
Mind: Your next Mind card costs 1 less.
Bug Fixes
There have been many reports of Ward disappearing without an obvious cause. We don't believe this is a core rules issue, and is instead an issue with how a few problematic cards are blocked. However, there was a bug where effects that pop Ward weren't showing up in the game log. Fixing that issue will make it much easier to find and fix the cards causing this issue.
Welcome to Season 2!
New Season
New season means new Hero, new Season Pass, and refreshed seasonal achievements!
Dozens of new cosmetics have been added to the shop and are available to earn via the Premium Season Pass.
Complete the Premium Season Pass, and you'll earn the new Costume Party Kyung Mi skin! We'll be revealing all of the outfits for the skin closer to the end of the season.
RIP Drafting (Almost)
Heroes no longer Draft when they level up (except Kyung Mi). While is was fun at times, and added some necessary variance to games, the mechanic was overall too cumbersome to keep in the game. Drafting often had no impact on games other than to slow them down, with drafted cards often being board-clogging chaff or overly niche. New players were stuck reading and evaluating four cards, multiple times per game, every single game. Overall we feel the game plays much better without it.
Draft has been renamed to Scout. Heroes Scout when they level up after getting their last reward. Each level after a Hero's last reward will now require 12 EXP.
In Sentinels, players still Recruit a card when they level up. This will be removed as part of the Sentinels revamp slated for Season 3.
New Hero - Marie
Marie is a prodigy in healing alchemy and speaking with the dead. Through careful study and preparation, she becomes momentarily possessed by the recently departed, in order to gain their skills and aid.
Passive:
+1 EXP if two or more units enter your graveyard each turn.Banish all actions that enter your graveyard.
Level 2: Eau D'Ange
When you play or discard this, gain 3 HP and Choose a friendly unit to give 3 HP.When you level up, return this to your hand.
Level 3: Possession
Hero Active: Pay 1 Mana. Banish the top unit of your graveyard. Play its Summon, Entomb, and Active abilities.
Level 4: House of Zombi
6 Mana 0/4 Immortal Your Active, Summon, and Entomb abilities happen twice.
Hero Changes
We've made a large number of changes to heroes, simplifying most of them by reducing the number of rewards. Our goal was to hone in on their mechanical identity, while reducing complexity when you first read them. There are also some balance changes mixed in here, and most heroes have had their EXP requirements adjusted.
Voting Changes
Going forward, players have the option to vote on a card at the end of each game (singleplayer and multiplayer). Choosing to vote at the end of a game awards 10 Gold. Both voting ticket and end-of-match voting have been changed, so you only vote on one card at a time.
Our goal with these changes is to remove the analysis paralysis of voting on multiple cards at a time, and get new players voting early and often.
Voting Tickets are now primarily a reward from the free Season Pass track, and no longer expire.

Developer Update + v1.0.11 Patchnotes
Quick Developer Update
We were originally planning to release a Hero around this time, but we've been very busy since the launch addressing issues and planning for the future, as well as recuperating from the sprint to get the game out. The next Hero will be released at the start of Season 2 on July 3rd. The last four emote rewards on the Season Pass were originally going to be emotes for the new Hero, but since there isn't one, we've replaced them with a few new emotes for existing Heroes.
Cosmetics
4 New Emotes (included in Premium Season Pass)
- New Card Frame: AESTHETICA
Card Creator - Copy & Paste
We've added an experimental version of copy and paste to the Card Creator. Check it out!
Wandervision Awards 2020 Nominations
Hey, we are doing this a bit earlier than previously announced!
The Wandervision Awards is an event we are running yearly to celebrate the community's best cards in various different categories.
Voting is open until the start of the Saturday tournament, where we will announce the nominees!
v1.0.6 Patchnotes
Auto-Autopass
The game now automatically passes your turn when you don't have anything to play.
This behavior can be toggled on or off in the settings.
You'll still have to pass manually the first time you could play a card in a turn.
Friend Match Starting Initiative Controls
You can now give either player the option to start with Initiative in friend matches. This is primarily to support best of 3 and best of 5 matches in the tournament.
Added a Rematch button to the end of game screen in friend matches. In rematches, the loser of the previous game chooses whether to start with Initiative.
Other Changes
Fixed a bug where card text wouldn't update properly if the underlying text of an ability changed. This removes the need for the workaround card authors were using where they would remove an ability and add it back immediately to get the text to update.
Getting all the elements of a group using the "Random group of items (within a group)..." block will now shuffle the order of items.
The game once again remembers your credentials when launching the game outside of Steam and logging in with email and password.
Fixed a bug where game board music wouldn't play when reconnecting to games or observing them.
Cards with only flavor text will no longer have an unnecessary space at the top of the text box.
v1.0.4 Patchnotes - Login Changes
For new player convenience and security, we're moving to primarily signing players in through their Steam account.
You'll still need a Collective account to use the Card Creator.
You can still switch Collective accounts inside the game client, you'll just need to unlink your Steam account in Settings.
Other Changes
Updated the Sentinels and Story Mode UI's to be clearer and provide better progress indicators.
Fixed a bug in the Sentinels UI where the enemy preview would cover the buttons.
In two weeks we'll have a tournament casted by Wagnozac! We can't give out all the details yet but you can look at the prize structure from previous tournaments here.
We're also going to have custom emotes that winners can use as your player icon for bragging rights!
We have to talk to lawyers about this again, but as soon as possible, we're hoping to have regular tournaments every two weeks with a $200 prize pool (USD). It might be cash, or amazon gift cards... not sure yet. Once we get everything figured out and get those emotes drawn, we'll send an email to our mailing list with details.
v1.0.2 Patchnotes
New Feature - Right clicking on cards in a game or the deck editor will now show a bigger version of that card.
Drafts will now only contain cards from the Standard Set in multiplayer. We originally planned to make this change only when there was a Legacy format, but we've found Legacy cards are disproportionately bugged and learning them adds an extra hurdle for new players.
Starlight Pendant
The Amber indicator in the main menu is now replaced with a pendant indicator if you own the pendant.
Pendant owners are now automatically granted the "Welcome to My Shop!" achievement.
Other Changes
Improved the animations during mulligans.
Rules: Cards that start in your hand (after mulligans) will now trigger changed zones triggers once. This won't trigger card drawn triggers. E.g. Wormhole Investigator will now be a 1/1 if he's in your opening hand, like you would expect.
Improved button colors on certain game boards.
Fixed bug in Sentinels where the enemies on the map screen overflow off the screen on 16:10 resolutions.
