Hello everyone! I haven't had as much time as I would have liked over last month to work on my game due to my daily job. However, I'm back to work on Coloniam this weekend to pick up where I left off in regards to Save Games and Trade Routes. I should have an update ready in the next week or two.
Planned in the next update: 1. Trade route update! Reworking the current menu and design of the current trade routes. It should be significantly easier to use. 2. Save games! This was a bit more complicated than I had originally thought but we should have a beta version of save games soon. 3. Island Discoveries! You will start on the main island and you will have to discover other islands via boat before you can see them. 4. Island Fertilities! This is the first step to solid gameplay. I will be making various resources from Tier 2 Population and higher be required to come from a different island in order to fully utilize the trade route system.
Ideas 1. I saw some people mention they would like moddable population needs/resources values so I'm tacking a look into this.
More Bug Fixes
-Patch Notes- 1. Fixed a bug that would keep house population when you sold it. 2. Fixed a bug that would keep the old workforce population tier when you upgraded its house to the next tier. When you upgrade a house to the next workforce tier you now properly lose the previous tiers population. This should correct the difficulty some as you will have to manage all tiers of the population. 3. Highlights now appear around newly unlocked buildings. 4. Fixed an issue with starting trade routes on the east or west island. 5. Cleaned up some text labels.
-Coming Soon- Island fertilities are the next feature to be implemented. This will add a new level of challenge to the game in order to fully meet the needs of the 2nd tier of Workers. Along with this, it will also include some much needed polish to the current Trade Route system.
Saves games - should be ready sometime this coming week.
-Future Updates- A more in-depth statistics panel that shows precisely the number of resources you are generating along with the current resource deductions.
Goals / Quest Panel - To incentivize building certain buildings and to give rewards.
Island Discoveries - Fog of war will soon cover the map and you will be required to discover the other islands via boats.
-Looking into- I've had a few requests for adding a few design features like the ability to plant and remove various trees or other landscape features.

Bug Fixes & Difficulty
-Patch Notes- 1. Fixed an issue where the Valve Index and Vive Controllers were unable to consistently access the in-game instructions. 2. The number of resources the workforce require per cycle were incorrectly set to a much lower difficulty. This has been updated back to normal difficulty and you will now have to more actively manage resource production. 3. Potentially fixed the rotation of buildings on WMR controllers. -Quality of Life- 1. When you select a Building / Unit it will automatically rotate to the selection page.
-Future Updates- A more interactive tutorial should be out by the end of this weekend.

-Requests- Saves games are currently not implemented. I'm considering implementing this sooner than I had originally planned as it has been a requested feature. I have a lot of backend work todo and didn't want to implement saves before I had a solid foundation as to not have to go back and rewrite save support for every small update.
