The Hong Corporation, Air units and Development Status
Welcome back, Everyone!

As always this is an early build of the game and everything you see is subject to change. We can't wait to hear your thoughts on our various platform and hope you enjoy this dev log!
Status Report
Hello! How are you doing? It has been a bit since our last announcement but now we are ready to show you more, and we’re very excited to see what you will think of it! Our team has worked diligently through the last few months with the result being the latest batch of GIFs you’ll see below! As always those come from a beta build made in an early version of our launch map, Goldhorn Island, so please keep that in mind.
Let’s look at Hong Corp, one of the first factions we are planning on finishing soon. To keep you tank fanatics rolling while on the field, we’ve finished work on the Repair Truck, the Corporation’s solution to any damage their heavy tanks could face while on the field! Accessible through upgrading your ol’ Supply Truck, the flatbed is now stashed to the brim with spare Armonite armor plating, diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment!
We’ve also worked on the Air System a bunch, and we’re proud to show you our work. Hong may not be known for their air units, but that doesn’t mean they can pull a mean sucker punch when you least expect it! Designed around supporting their armor, they won’t be the ones you’ll fear most but they’ll certainly not be a good sight on the battlefield.
First and foremost, the Imperial! This converted transport helicopter has been retrofitted into a heavy gunship with the help of multiple rocket pods and a heavy autocannon, with its storage space filled with spare rounds and explosives. As you might expect, this makes it a slow and vulnerable target, but it is quite capable of destroying anything that might threaten ground troops from afar. Its rocket pods can severely maul heavy armor, and light vehicles that could evade them will fear its autocannon!
There is one thing tanks fear particularly, and that is air units. How can you potentially defend such a big target as a Monarch super heavy tank from enemy jets? The answer is the Needletail interceptor of course. This amazingly fast rocket-powered plane is armed with a limited yet deadly payload of missiles able to target enemy air units just as well as ground units. Its speed is not always an advantage however, it will rapidly overshoot targets, and the size of the engine means there is little room for protection. Be careful when deploying them, but always remember a flight of Needletail can rapidly clear the air space of threats!
Thank you again for following us, if you’d like to hear more you can follow us on our Twitter, Youtube or our Discord if you'd like to contact us directly. Furthermore if you’d like to support us and be the first to get the latest news on Commanding Nations, you can pledge on our Patreon! We hope to hear your impressions on our various platforms, and be sure to check out our video next week talking more about Goldhorn Island and the arsenal you will have access to as a Hong Corporation commander!
The Art Of Destruction
Greetings everyone! Hope you're all doing well. We wanted to show to you all more of what we've been doing, and particularly our new destruction animations.
We've aimed to provide a sense of realism by using physics-based animation, thus showcasing how an actual structure like this would collapse under stress. As you can see the results are impressive!. Anything from command centers toppled by battle damage to ammunition stocks going up in a fireball!
And of course, its all rendered in-engine so you'll see much the same in-game as your Rhinos roll over a Hong base and destroy all they see!
Thank you for your time, as always we'd be glad to hear what you think, and expect more from us and Commanding Nations very soon!
Commanding Nations News Resuming From First of May!
Greetings everyone!
We wanted to inform you all that in the last few weeks, we had decided to go radio silent out of respect for our friends, colleagues and all the people in Ukraine. While we made no external announcement except for our Patreons, we have been hard at work making significant progress with Commanding Nations. We will thus be resuming our regular communications starting the first of May.
But that's not all, a while back we announced our first game as a publisher: Reforger. We are more than happy to announce that we will also be sharing information about the title and OO Games, its development studio, from the same date onward.
We thank you all again for your interest in Seven Volts Games, and hope to be able to give you all much to be excited about in the future! Believe it or not, the simple interactions with our community has been a massive force of motivation and a reason for us to keep pushing!
For those of you that would like to be more involved, you can talk to us directly as well as get the latest images and teasers concerning the game over on our Discord server.
