Game Availability Update

After four years on Steam, Commands & Colors Ancients will no longer be available for new purchases. Existing customers will be able to continue to download the game via their Steam Library.

The following issues have been addressed in the latest update of Command & Colors: Ancients


  • Retreat issues
  • Missing units from the Metaurus Scenario.
  • Performance improvements.
  • Compatibility with 64-Bit on Mac OS.

Update

We appologise for the delay in updates.

This update is more about optimizing the game. The next update will be focused on rule fixes.

Fixed the jittering camera when focused on an action.
Sped up all units and shortened the card display time when AI pulls a new card, to improve gameplay pace.
Additional bug fixes, improvements and optimizations.

Update

Fixed an issue were auxilia units could not attack after moving.
Fixed a couple of issues with Elephant Rampage.


Patch 2 now live.

Hi all sorry for the delay on this one.

Added a detach and move leader button:

If you get a card saying you can move a leader a button will now appear above the end turn button. During the selection phase click that button and you will be able to select the leader of your choice. During the move phase click the button to move the leader if you have more than one leader selected click the button again to move the next leader.

Elephants should now work as intended.

Retreat now applies correct amount of retreat actions and you lose points for moving off the board.

Fixed an issue which was causing some scenarios to have the player on the wrong side of the board.

Command cards which issued an order to a number of a certain type of unit now lets you order 1 unit of your choice if you do not have any of the unit type required by the card. This has been added to the card description.

Fixed graphic settings not saving.

Update On Patch

Hi all sorry to say we will not get a patch out this week.

We had one ready to go but on testing we have come across issues which we are trying to pin down and fix.

We will get it out early next week.

Added more logging to help track down the black screen on mac issue.

Fixed camera rotation logic so it only occurs on turn switch for local multiplayer

Disabled attack camera

Fixed freeze when enemy tries to retreat after player uses first strike

Skip dice rolls now save properly

Support form now has upper and lower case

Cannae scenario - carthage starts with 6 cards and rome start with 4

Line command now makes all units move 1

Prevents missile units from firing after using double time

Warriors in a ford now battle with 2 dice

Light bowmen have a combat range of 3

Light footmen now move through friendly units when supposed to

Corrected the symbols for Carthaginian and Syracusan

Fixed units getting stuck when they were waiting for an order

Fix for discard pile causing the card select phase to end

We will have a second patch shortly to fix any other issues that have been flagged.

We have an update in test at the moment and if all goes well it will include all the fixes listed below.

This is only the first patch, we will be keeping an eye on things as well as fixing any issues not already addressed in our next patch.
