v1.9.3 Released

We have just released version 1.9.3! This update includes the following fixes:


  • Fix to unit selection presented when playing supply shortage via combat card intelligence
  • Fix to game hang where the turn would keep waiting for action to complete after a unit was destroyed
  • Block trench raid from being played where command card blocks all unit movement
  • Fix to tactician default flank being highlighted after a different card is played

Patch 1.9

We have just released version 1.9! This update includes the following fixes:


  • Fix to cards not prompting correctly in local pass and play matches
  • Fixed issue where multiple retreat events during artillery fire could cause game to hang
  • Improved AI targeting for artillery firing
  • Improved retreat unit highlighting
  • Added tutorial for crossfire attacks
  • Fix to big show auto ending turn and skipping movement
  • Fix to big show combined with some combat cards not applying the correct bonus per unit
  • Fix to loading save files created in some previous versions

Patch v1.8

In this latest update to the game, we've improved / fixed the following:
  • Fix to AI use of battle fury card.
  • Fix to retreat actions to ensure always completed.
  • Fix to return fire allowed when adjacent to enemy.
  • Fix to status icons appearing incorrectly.
  • Mortars can now be used to attack barbed wire hexes with no enemy present.
  • Interrupt type cards show as in play.
  • Fix to in game manual.
  • Improvement to AI when using rush and rotation card.
  • Improvement to AI use of advance over the top.
  • Improved lighting.

Patch v1.7

We have just released version 1.7! This update includes the following fixes:


  • Additional option when playing counter intelligence card, allows valid cards to enter play the same turn
  • Fix to counter intelligence card where card drawn from discard pile would appear as if played already, new card would never get applied
  • Fix to some cards that appeared playable when they were not
  • Fix to camera settings getting assigned correctly
  • Fix to game log
  • Fix to counter attack card
  • Improvements to AI when choosing targets and attack order
  • Fix to AI when using artillery, now uses correct amount of ammo
  • AI some improvements to selecting cards, will not use artillery cards that leave no points for ammo
  • Missed artillery attacks are clearer
  • Lost messenger working against dice roll type cards
  • Interface fix, block multiple orders to play an interrupt card. This was causing the game to become unstable
  • Fix to in game manual for all platforms
  • Reduced unit insignia and other minor interface improvements
  • Improvement to dice physics, roll completes faster and is more contained
  • Fix to victory medals, when removing more than one in a single action

Patch 1.5

We have just released the fifth update for Command & Colors: The Great War. The following changes have been made:


  • Performance improvements
  • Fix for dice counting
  • Fix to combat bonuses targeting incorrect units
  • Fix to interrupt type cards getting prompted and played correctly
  • Fix to targeting for some card combinations, eg. infantry assault with three on a match

Update v1.4

We have just released the third update for Command & Colors: The Great War. The following changes have been made:

  • Added more detail for unit status icons and unit HUD improvements
  • Scenario specific bonuses are displayed in status icons
  • Scenario trigger fixes
  • Fix to Lost messenger, correctly plays agianst group select cards such as infantry assault
  • Short supply destination can now be selected
  • Mortar tooltip shows range as 5, corrected
  • Achievements fixes for mine all mine and achievments that require accumulated dice rolls
  • Counter intelligence now allows the full selection from discard deck
  • Card display improvements
  • Various text corrections
  • Stability fixes

Update v1.3


We have just released the third update for Command & Colors: The Great War. The following changes have been made:

  • AI: Improved usage of Stretcher Bearer, Short Supply and Reserve Artillery
  • Camera will now automatically centre on units that exit the battlefield
  • Fix to Lost Messenger returning Combat Cards to hand
  • Fix to Reserve Artillery inflicting retreats on the back row
  • Units are now properly prevented from removing Wire after combat
  • New unit Status Icons added, listed in the manual
  • The manual's Card Reference now lists the quantity of each card
  • Various text corrections
  • Achievements for winning all scenarios as each side fixed - players who have already earned them should be rewarded by just starting the game
