The first part of the new skirmish system is here. Now there are many more options for all your procedural battle needs. Unfortunately the AI is now a little weak as it doesn't handle the added complexities very well. Fixing that will be my next task.
Remember this is Early Access, work on improved skirmish scenarios is ongoing. If you have any ideas, suggestions or issues please let me know.

Version 0.9.22 Released
After the bug scare on New Year's day, I decided to get back into Concealed Intent development after the holidays by working through some issues & bugs (hopefully without adding too many new ones :). Existing players won't notice many changes to gameplay (other than shield & repairer stacks are nerfed to prevent undamagable ships), but with luck the game will seem just a little bit smoother.
Tomorrow I start on the skirmish changes. First up will be an arbitrary number of player and enemy ships.

This is just a quick patch release to fix a stupid bug that caused the game to lock up on the early missions, but not the tutorial or first mission. Version 0.9.20 Released
It took a little longer than expected, but v0.9.20 is now up on Steam. The main addition in this build is the ability to challenge your Steam friends with a ship of your choosing, and a map of your choosing, with the turn time limit of your choosing. There are also a number of smaller fixes and improvements - many of which have been suggested by players. Thanks very much!
A word of warning. I have tested this release over the last few days and fixed all the known bugs. However, a large amount of the codebase has changed (particularly in online play) to accommodate the new functionality. There may still be bugs or issues.
If you find something broken or just "weird" please let me know.
Next up is an enforced break for xmas holiday! Then sometime next week I'll get started on more Skirmish options, the first community requested feature! Plus of course the standard list of bug fixes and improvements, also the continuous work improving the tutorial, missions and balance.

Just a small update to add tips on tactics to the first 3 missions, as I'm hearing/seeing that people are having trouble working out how to play. As this was not my intention, the tips should help players get started.
Also, signature can now go down to 0, rather than 1. This means that is now possible for ships to be completely undetectable.

Another new version. The main difference here is the addition of Steam Achievements. I have also made some balancing changes to hopefully aid stealth tactics (yours & the AI) and made the 3rd mission, Pickup, easier as it seems to be the place most people stop. A bunch of cosmetic issues and mission edge-cases have also been cleaned up.
Based on feedback, next will be some more work on the tutorial and trying to teach some of the basic tactics in the tutorial or early missions.

Here is the first post-release update.
The main change is the addition of four new missions towards the end of the single-player campaign: Clear, Factory, Rescue & Last Stand. Now there are 20 missions total. In addition to the missions there are a number of potential bug fixes and cosmetic changes.
Next up is Steam Achievements (if possible), plus more cosmetic changes.

Version 0.9.16 Released
A new version (0.9.16) has just been uploaded for PC/Mac. Baring any major bugs being discovered, this will be the version released to Early Access on the 19th. Be assured I'll be testing it at least a little everyday until then, and probably beyond!
Apart from more testing, my next task will be adding 3 more missions to the single-player campaign while waiting for feedback.
