To establish their new reign, the Orcs tribes realised they need the help of man, more specifically the war technology of man. As in their time, paid soldiers still exist and a band of mercenaries were recruited to become the Possessed Militia. Some of the mercenaries were obsessed with the Orc’s dark powers and drank their mutating elixir. They transformed into an army of undead warriors ,still trained in their modern weaponry and extremely difficult to stop.
The Militia act as bodyguards for important Orc bosses and lieutenants. Make sure you are fully equipped before taking them on.
Sample Gameplay
Finally we will be posting gameplay videos. It has taken longer than expected to get to this stage. In this short test video, you have are facing 2 'bosses'. In the full game, they will be a lot harder to kill. For the sake of the video length, we nerfed them a bit - poor old guys. Also, It is unlikely you will be facing them on their own, like here. Still you can see the important of movement and ammo in this segment.
Your assault rifle is pretty powerful as well - you wont always have this with you so flight of fight decision are important.

Game UI
Here are some screenshot of the game UI done in Orcs and Outlaws. This is a first pass but all the major screen and windows done. It is a major milestone for us as doing the UI has helped us finish the design of the major game system. Doing UI work is very time consuming for a small team so we are really happy to have this done and looking good, we think anyway :)
Too close for comfort
Quick video of the Golem type enemy monster - big and pretty fast for its size. The best strategy is to run when you see one... unless you have a rocket launcher, with a lot of rockets :)
Not all enemies creatures will be actively protected your bounty fugitive. Some are just in the vicinity and don't like bounty hunter.
The game will introduce you to certain creature that you will have to hunt in later levels.
Orc Hunting
Can you spot the orc in time?
This is some game dev footage from the Orcs and Outlaws demo , which will be out soon. As you see, it can be pretty hard to spot a green Orcs in a green jungle. Just testing the orc AI and Mia's new assault rifle.
This is part of the first level in the game. You will encounter different creatures depending on your environment. Some will give natural camouflage to creatures, making them much harder to see before they attack.
Updated Splash and Demo news
We are getting close to getting our first gameplay demo done. Sorry for the delay but with a very small team, development takes time. We will have a lot more updates and screenshot coming soon. Once the demo is done, it will be much quicker for us to get the levels done – how many levels? Well we are not sure yet but enough to be satisfying.
The Underground Levels - Video preview

We are almost finished our first underground level and we wanted to show you what it is going to look like. This is just a demo but will give you an idea of what the final production version will look like. The finished version will be a lot darker and it will be difficult to navigate. The island cave network is where most of the heavy-duty creatures hide. You should not spend too long down there. Each cave will have a transit portal – vital for island hopping.

Mia's Combat Drone
A video preview of Mia's companion drone DD. DD is a heavy duty combat model and will only be available in late missions. Currently the drone's AI will complement the player's moves and tactics. You can the drone's weapon system to target fortifications and boss type enemies. DD requires a lot of resources to keep active in the field so you have use him sparingly.

A quick video of one of the new islands in the game. Though all based in the south Pacific, each will have it's own identify and challenges. We are testing the lighting and textures for this island. Also giving one of the enemy dragons a test as well. More to come soon.
