CONSORTIUM Remastered announced, CONSORTIUM VR Beta on Steam, now available.
Earth Day is almost upon us. We celebrate our shared home, planet Earth, and its incredible beauty and diversity. Let's take a moment to appreciate the natural wonders that surround us and commit to nurturing our environment for future generations. We hope you take some to enjoy the great outdoors today. And then...maybe consider checking out CONSORTIUM Remastered and/or CONSORTIUM VR! ;)
CONSORTIUM Remastered
To all current owners of CONSORTIUM (2014) on Steam: You will be automatically gifted CONSORTIUM Remastered when we take it out of Beta.
CONSORTIUM Remastered fully supports a much wider range of PC setups, controllers, Steamdeck and V.O.I.C.E: You can play through the entire story by literally talking out loud and making friends (or enemies) with Consortium’s diverse cast of characters.
If you decide to check out the Remastered Beta or CONSORTIUM VR (Quest 2 or Steam) and have feedback (or bug reports!) for us, make a post on the iDGi Discord “Bugs and Issues” forum and your name will be included in the game’s credits.
CONSORTIUM VR on Steam
Today we are also announcing that we have decided to make the CONSORTIUM VR Beta available on Steam VR via Early Access. Just like the flat-screen Remastered edition, we have added many new elements to the game, along with improvements planned over the Early Access period. Please checkout the store page and read the Early Access description for more details!
If you want to try out CVR for free, and you have a Quest 2, search for CONSORTIUM VR in the Quest store and use the “Try Before You Buy” feature to play for 30 minutes.

Quest 2 CONSORTIUM VR will be available in just 3 days…
Happy 21 day to all!
CONSORTIUM VR
There has been a last minute delay to enable us to take care of a few recently discovered issues, but CONSORTIUM VR really is coming to Quest 2 this Friday…
Today, we are granting early Beta access to the Quest 2 build of the game to folks who have opted in.
Do you have a Quest 2 and want early access to the Beta? Hop into the iDGi Discord server, go to the “announcements” channel for February 13th and click the “VR” emoji. Note this is a call out ONLY for Quest 2 device owners, not for PC-VR.
If you would like to learn more about the project, you can listen to an interview we did about the project to Sci-Fi radio…some amazing things are said about CONSORTIUM VR by them - check it out! https://scifi.radio/2023/02/17/on-the-event-horizon-gregory-mcmartin-ryan-sheffer-consortium-vr/

CONSORTIUM VR
Happy New Year 21 day to all!
CONSORTIUM VR
Please consider helping us share the following announce trailer video far and wide across the internet:
We will be sharing our Beta to the public via the Meta Quest 2 AppLab on February 21st. We are new to VR and want to carefully ease into this brand new market. We aim to ensure that we address all core player concerns during our final polishing rounds.
When we reach CONSORTIUM VR v1.0 later this year, we will be releasing it right here on Steam, for PCVR:
This will be largely similar to the Quest 2 game but with the addition of big graphical options such as volumetric clouds, fully dynamic lights and shadows.
To all of you owners of CONSORTIUM (2014) that are not into VR - worry not, a big FREE update will be coming for you later this year. A new store-page for CONSORTIUM Remastered will arrive sometime around when V1.0 of CONSORTIUM VR launches here on Steam. All CONSORTIUM (2014) owners will receive the Remastered version for free.
More info about V.O.I.C.E. and about CONSORTIUM VR will be coming over the next few weeks. Until then, it’s back to the dev caves for us!

Winter Solstice 2022 iDGi dev update
Happy Winter Solstice 21 day everybody!
iDGi-1 Winter Solstice update
With iDGi-1 being at it’s most efficient time of the year due to the winter solstice, we are thrilled to share that a freak accident of sorts caused a content breakthrough with the Virtual Trainer. Here is a brief vid browsing the new VT scenarios with the panel along with one other snippet at the end, appropriate for the season.
VR Game Update
Trailer making for VR games is tricky business. The truth is that we’ve all been testing, fixing and polishing the VR game incessantly, and we’ve gotten a little behind on the marketing side of things.
That being said, we’re now ready to say that in precisely 1 month’s time, on January 21st, 2023, we will be officially announcing iDGi's first VR Interactive Cinema game. When the countdown on this page ends, the announce trailer will be viewable.
When we next see each other...you will all *finally* know what we are bringing to VR.

November 2022 iDGi dev update
Happy 21 day everyone,
General iDGi Dev Update
The Announce Trailer for our VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA production is getting close to done. The front-end is feeling pretty good now. Credits are almost done. We’ve been continually testing, fixing and polishing the whole thing, but with a particular emphasis on on the ending and beginning.
Today marks 2 years since we’ve started updating you all each and every month on the 21st. It’s also been just over a decade since we first revealed the initial glimpse of CONSORTIUM. Here is a very brief look of our game development efforts over all this time. Wait for a never before seen glimpse of Consortium: THE TOWER’s Act 2 at the end.
With a bit of luck, we’ll be releasing the Announce Trailer before the December holidays and you’ll all finally realize what we’ve accomplished for VR…
To all of you in the USA, we wish you a wonderful thanksgiving!

October 2022 iDGi dev update
Happy 21 day everyone,
General iDGi Dev Update
Our VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA production has now technically, FINALLY reached early BETA! However – contrary to what we told you last month, we still aren’t ready to let new playtesters in just yet. We’re a very small team and can only move so fast and work on so much at one time.
We’ve been working on things like the game ending, credits, the front-end and the announce teaser trailer video. Once this video is ready, we’ll properly announce the project and make our store pages live! THEN we’ll let in the first wave of beta testers…
Here’s a new little glimpse of something else we’ve been working on via iDGi-1:
VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA Streamer List of 21
Calling all VR game streamers!
We are now actively looking for no more than 21 folks who are into streaming VR games, with the only requirement being that said streamer must have an audience of at least 100 subscribers. A mixed reality setup using Liv would be ideal!
Everyone chosen will be gifted a DEMO copy of our VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA game. Streamers will get the first chance to put on a performance for their audience unlike any they’ve ever done (we promise!). You will also be the first to experience what we hope will be seen as a brand new genre of VR game.
Twitch streamers will get the chance to play with our game’s unique Twitch integration that we’ve taken to calling “Breaking The Fifth Wall”.
Hop into our Discord and let us know if you are a VR game steamer (Meta Quest 2 and/or PCVR), or know someone that may be interested. Or, perhaps reach out to your favourite streamer and plead with them to get on our list. ;-)
To be considered for the “VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA Streamer List of 21”, simply shoot an email to support@interdimensionalgames.com with the subject line “VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA Streamer List of 21”. Please include in your email a link to your channel where you do VR streaming (Twitch page, YouTube channel, etc).
So what exactly IS VR Interactive Cinema, you ask? Use your imagination and you just might not be too far off…
Once again until next month, it’s back to the dev caves with us!

September 2022 iDGi development update
Happy 21 day everyone,
General iDGi Dev Update
A new build of Whispers From The Rift has just released to everyone who has access to the closed PC beta testing of our interactive novel and direct prequel to CONSORTIUM:
There are now 30 additional brainscan “illustrations” to be discovered throughout the narrative web of Whispers From The Rift. There are more brainscans to come, but the lead transcriber feels that only one more release will be needed before we have ourselves a v1.0 Release candidate!
Here is one particularly interesting scan recently conducted via iDGi-1:
As for our still technically unannounced VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA production, we are now working on the final set of tasks for finishing the experience. The Meta Quest 2 build is getting a big lighting improvement and we continue to work through important polishing tasks and bugs as they are found.
We have relatively few remaining major production tasks remaining until we have ourselves a truly viable Beta for both SKUs (Meta Quest 2 and PCVR). We’re working through them all as best as we are able. Those that have requested closed beta access to the VR game: know that you’ll receive your beta keys via Discord messages once we reach this milestone.
Once again until next month, it’s back to work for us.
21 Day - Epic MegaGrant and the iDGi-1 updated Info Console
Happy 21 day everyone,
We are thrilled beyond words to be able to announce that in December of 2021, our currently still technically secret VR project was selected to receive an Epic MegaGrant!
This MegaGrant is enabling us to hunker down and focus on getting the game done and ready for release. We are honored and extremely grateful to Epic Games for their awesome support and acknowledgment that we're really onto something with this project.
We are now more confident than ever that our upcoming release will clearly point the way for everyone to easily imagine the limitless creative possibilities that exist within a brand new genre: VR INTERACTIVE CINEMA.
We told you all before that we would be properly announcing the project upon reaching Beta. However, now that we’ve had time to really think about the marketing side of things, we’ve decided to internally focus hard on taking us to beta and completion within the next few months. Then, we will shift our focus to “announcing”, promoting and releasing within a 5-7 week period right after (give or take…).
Want to play?
If you have a Quest 2 VR headset and/or Steam VR capability and you have interest in participating in upcoming closed beta testing of this project, here is the process:
1) Join our Discord server 2) Enter the “announcement” channel. 3) Navigate to the post made on December 31st, 2021 and click on the VR emoji to add your name. 4) We will then contact you through Discord when looking for new players.
This means that the 21 day updates over the next few months are going to be very brief, but we’ll continue to find interesting things we’re working on to show you all each month. Speaking of which…
Recent iDGi-1 interpretations indicate a vastly different interface for the Info Console than what was previously garnered. From our analysis, these fixes will allow for far easier browsing and general use of the Info Console. Here is a brief glimpse:
https://youtu.be/gFGtx_BpgTY
Until next month, may this message find you all safe and sound…
P.S: To all Backers of Consortium: THE TOWER who signed up for Pre-Beta testing for our VR project - your keys should be finally incoming within the next few days or so! Watch your email inbox…
