Happy December 21 solstice 2020!

This is always a special time for iDGi as the winter solstice empowers iDGi-1 with the strongest 21gnal strength of the year. We take advantage of this in different ways - this time, among other things we’ve uncovered a vast amount of new C3800 details. We’re still sifting through all the data, but here is a new shot of the C-3800 Hangar Bay from last month with the additional data added.



We think those things to the left and right of the fusion batteries may simply be heat-sinks of some kind. We think there is some physical cargo being stowed above the CCU.

Whispers From The Rift

...reached v0.998p19 today. Latest is live on Steam and Google Play. All of the 27 different official core endings to the main interactive narrative are DONE. The intensive editing and polishing pass of the entire work that began over a year ago is now complete. We are poised to enter a Google Play public beta phase, as soon as we can free more of us up from our VR game development efforts.

iDGi-1 has discovered numerous new elements of the C-3800 environment. In the latter half of Consortium: The Tower’s finished narrative, players will have multiple opportunities to address the crew of Zenlil through the Holocom in Mission Ops. Here is a look at Mission Ops with some additional details we've just found.



iDGi-1 tells us that that vent-like thing under the virtual window to the left are all over Zenlil and are in fact air/water vents. We do not know at this time which of these details may turn out to be important at some later time.

The VR Project



Finally, regarding our VR project. We are a few days from our first internal test Steam build demo of the game. It is coming together beautifully. After xmas, we will be putting the finishing touches on what we’re calling the “V.I.P. Demo” , of which only folks like backers and other, uh...Very Important Persons will be getting access to. Right around that time or soon after, we will be officially announcing on a 21 day and we’ll stop calling it “VR game” from that point onwards. :)

Whispers From The Rift

Our first mobile game reached v0.998p18 today. Most of the ~22 core narrative endings are now polished and done. We are a release or two away from hitting v0.999, at which point we will be launching a public free-to-play beta release via Google Play. Learn more about the project here.

Consortium: The Tower

The Tower is undergoing a major project upgrade from V4.15 of the Unreal Engine, to V4.25. Various improvements to the Consortium Bishop game mechanics and a custom choreography solution from our VR project will be directly applied to allow for the ultimate completion of The Tower’s narrative.

iDGi-1 has uncovered additional details of the C-3800 Hangar Bay. We think those cables are physical kill switches for Zenlil’s weapons and fusion engines.

Early Access ALPHA 1.11.1 -- Hotfixes

Hot-fixes to address big issues found from testing 1.11.

Mostly coming from the “new” NPC conversations. If anyone runs into any issues with NPC to NPC convos at all, kindly reach out and let us know? Thank-you.

[Fix] Broken lighting in Odin’s lair fixed. (thx @Harlock)
[Fix] Moved two convo patrol node pairs on the roof further apart. Fixes issue where those two convos could easily be triggered simultaneously, with both playing over each other. Added benefit of changing up the paths of one of the soldiers, so that he now walks up to the top more, adding more dynamic randomness to the patrol routes. (thx @FordGTConcept)

[Update] Removed ledges in Lobby that were in direct line of sight with a laser turret AND were above the two convo guys, but JUST out of the range. (thx @Harlock)

12-21 -- Early Access ALPHA 1.11 -- Stealth fixes and improvements

So, we're briefly poking our heads out of our dev caves on 12 21 to first, just let you know that we're alive and well, and 2econd, to te1l you about two key 1tem2.

CONSORTIUM: THE TOWER - ALPHA V1.11


Since our last public update of the game, Consortium: The Tower dev work has focused on addressing as many of the principal bugs and gameplay concerns we have received over the past year or so.

The free demo has also been updated to include all the latest improvements.

The latest version to Consortium: The Tower has gone live today with big improvements to the stealth and combat gameplay, major bug fixes and more. As usual, scroll to the bottom of HERE to see all of the details.

While Whispers From The Rift (see below!) has taken up a significant amount of our time lately, our eyes remain on the prize of a completed Consortium: The Tower.

We have recently made some major improvements and refinements to the remaining narrative of the game. These changes have the benefit of ensuring that the finished version of the narrative will be much easier to properly test than it would have been before. It is also just much better, given our benefit of time to get this right. We think it is going to be worth the wait for all of you...

Early Access ALPHA 1.10 is live. More immersion!

Consortium: The Tower Early Access ALPHA 1.10 has just been made live. A complete list of the changes made can be found HERE.

This is mostly a "quality of life" patch, where we fixed some of the most glaring immersion breaking bugs. We also made some more significant balancing changes based on some playtest data.



The biggest improvement - Odin's section of the Lobby has received the same optimization and level design/art polish pass that the Hotel rooms got last month. The entire Hotel is now quite close to beta, in terms of it's completion level...

To all of our backers reading this - there is a recent backer update on our Forum. that explains the additional delay. New Fig update with a surprise gift is only a few days away...

Early Access ALPHA 1.9 is live. Now less buggy and more balanced!

Consortium: The Tower Early Access ALPHA 1.9 has just been made live. A complete list of the changes made can be found HERE.

AutoTalk now functions much better - no longer will it be stuck down, and AI should now always turn to face you if you talk at them.

In addition, the Hotel floors 169, 170 and 171 have all received a polish and optimization pass - many issues were solved and those levels now should run much faster on machines with less than optimal CPUs.

To Fig backers reading this - your update has been delayed due to the surprise reward taking longer than anticipated to be made ready. However, watch for your update on Fig before April is out...

Early Access ALPHA 1.8 is live! Now with AutoTalk...

Hello again Seekers,

Consortium: The Tower Early Access ALPHA 1.8 has just been made live. A complete list of the changes made can be found HERE. This update includes a smorgasbord of fixes and updates.

Today's biggest improvement: AutoTalk. The "T" button to bring down talk options is now a thing of the past. Talk options will now automatically present themselves as they become available.

We've also just released a new trailer for The Tower on the store page and on YouTube.

To try and keep this update brief but informative, here's a quick bullet point list of important things we want to say:

  • We are zeroing in on finally reaching BETA for Act 1 of Consortium: The Tower. There are still issues to clear and a lot of work to be done, but the goal is clearly visible now.
  • This project is not cancelled. This project will NEVER be cancelled. We are just moving at our own pace to complete it. We deeply appreciate everyone's ongoing patience and support as we slowly but steadily work towards the finish line. :)
  • TO ALL FIG BACKERS READING THIS: Your version of the game will be getting updated very shortly. Also a new Fig update with a big surprise gift for all of you is coming! Watch for this to drop within the next two weeks...
  • We have two BIG surprises in store for all fans of iDGi and Consortium. There is also the previously mentioned secret feature for The Tower still coming. (currently only Fig backers have access to this...)
  • The new version of CONSORTIUM is on it's way to GOG and Humble. Those of you waiting for this, sorry for the delay! Watch for it early next week.

Just a heads up: Other than some new screenshots of in development stuff, we may be going a little dark again for the next few months or so, as we work away in our development caves on a number of things.

Early Access ALPHA 1.7 - Now with more Norwegians!

We have just pushed Consortium: The Tower Early Access ALPHA 1.7 live. The complete list of the changes made can be found HERE.

We're working on many other things in addition to The Tower. So to reward everyone's ongoing patience, we have decided to give everyone access to two brand new Act 2 levels - the rather large OfficeHub5, and the very unique SideVents. Both require some stalwart exploration to uncover...can you find them?

While these two new levels are still relatively early, they are at a stage where we would benefit from additional feedback and comments, so as always please swing by Discord. and let us know if you have anything to report. Thank-you!

In addition, there are now over 350 new lines of V.O dialog in the game - the hotel mercs are robots no more! We proudly welcome Magnus Tranum and Anders Tranum to the cast of The Tower. This is a big step towards replacing all of the "robot voices" in the game.

CONSORTIUM v1.26.1 - 2019 REBALANCE is now live...

We have a new version of The Tower coming imminently - packed with over 350 new lines of final voice over recordings and more. However we've also been very busy on a number of other things, including...

We have just pushed the final Source engine build of CONSORTIUM live - v1.26.1 - 2019 REBALANCE. A list of the changes made can be found HERE.

All combat in the game has been re-balanced to help address some major feedback we've received over the years. We're not saying it's completely fixed, but it should definitely be more fun now.

These changes should make for a more entertaining interactive narrative experience. Combat in CONSORTIUM was always supposed to essentially be part of the storytelling, but it was previously tuned to require too much, too soon from players.

Why is this the final build? The answer is simple - we are planning to eventually bring you a fully remastered UE4 version of the game, with additional content and new features.

Remember, the interactive story in CONSORTIUM is a direct prequel to Consortium: The Tower. Simply get to the ending credits in CONSORTIUM, then load up Consortium: The Tower, start a new stream and choose your CONSORTIUM universe to import!

Halloween hotfix - Early Access ALPHA v1.6.1
