Cookie Clicker is officially 10 years old!
To celebrate, we're going 40% off this week! If you're reading this, you probably already own this game - but if your local culture involves some sort of summertime gift-giving holiday now is a great time to spread the cookie curse to your friends and family!
10 years is a long time to develop a game, but there's still so much more we want to add. Time is an arrow, so in the grand scheme of things we're only just getting started!

v. 2.052: Cookie Clicker gets you
- added the final, 20th building
- (currently, no more buildings are planned beyond this one; there are still many more updates to come, but future patches will focus on adding minigames to the existing buildings along with other features!)
- added another tier of upgrades and achievements
- updated flavored milk icons
- added visual cue for shimmering veil
- touched up old Santa sprites
- removed Discord rich presence support (plugin currently broken)
- new heavenly upgrade that lets you trade presents with other players
- Cookie Clicker turns 10 years old this year. Thank you for clicking cookies with us!

v. 2.048: Cookie Clicker gets smart
- added a new building
- added a new tier of upgrades and achievements
- added a few new heavenly upgrades
- added the jukebox
- the 3 secret heavenly upgrades now rely on how many times the relevant digit is present in total, rather than at the end
- backgrounds overhauled; extra options for the background selector
- extra options for the golden cookie sound selector
- the bank minigame now tells you the value you previously bought a stock at
- the bank minigame flow is a little more exciting
- new option to disable your game activity showing up in Discord
- launch errors now provide the option to restart without mods

v. 2.043: Cookie Clicker Steam Workshop update
- added Steam Workshop support (lets you install mods and upload your own)
- added Korean language support
- added back "short numbers" option for non-english languages (uses english terms for the time being)
- added tooltips on achievement notifications
- added Discord rich presence support
- Christmas content update coming soon!
This should be the last "technical" update focused on Steam-specific features. Future updates will revolve around new content and new gameplay features.
We're excited to see what you folks come up with using the Workshop. Later on, we may refine the modding tools further as the community's needs become clearer.
