It's been a while! We've been working to get back to this game and we're finally back.
Updates
All enemies now spawn a scan popup that allows you to take a closer look and maybe get a hint or two on how best to fight them
The main menu Options now includes a section for setting screen resolution and windowed mode
You can now hold shift, press a button on your gamepad, or touch the boost bar to boost your ship forwards
Bug Fixes
The music in the main menu will no longer explode your ears the first time you play the game. It will reflect your music volume settings from the main game.
Misc. small issues
We're excited to be back! As we get back into the groove, hopefully these updates will come more regularly. Thanks to anyone who's still watching the game!
Bugfix Patch 0.8.13
In preparation for the release of the Military Hauler, this patch will fix a few of the remaining issues with the Military ships.
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue where black hole would destroy bullets instead of sucking them in (animation still yet to come)
Fixed issue where bullets would sometimes fail to register when hitting the compound shield of a military ship
Fixed issues with drone behavior when delivering ores to the player

Another Chapter 3 Ship Complete!
It's time for another level release! Today's featured combatant is the Military Miner, a close-range fighter that just wants to eat every asteroid in sight. This update also adds in a new resource that only drops from killed military ships alongside multiple bug fixes! Full details below.
Gameplay
Added the Military Miner
Updated the core Military logic to better determine targets and avoid unfairly targeting the player
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue where the tier two mining drone wouldn't deliver its mined goods to the player
Fixed issue where military ships would occasionally fail to spawn
Fixed issue with pickups lagging too far behind the player when delivered by the mining drone
Fixed multiple display issues with the tier two shop
Next week we'll be introducing the Military Hauler in addition to the last level before the first boss for the military faction. Our goal is still a final release in August.
Feature Release 0.8.9 - Gamepad and Touchscreen Support
This patch is a general feature update that adds support for multiple input sources and does a few minor bug fixes.

Chapter 3 Is Here! (At least one level)
It's been a while, and a LOT has been implemented in this update. This update lays the groundwork for the second half of the game in addition to setting up a lot of systems for alternative inputs (more on that later).
Here's the details: Gameplay
Added the second tier of shop upgrades for weapons and ship (only available after chapter 2)
Added the second tier of drones (only available after chapter 2)
Implemented the AI and art for the military faction ships
Created the background junk for the pirate faction bosses
Created a new death effect exclusive to military ships
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue where bosses could occasionally move vertically, detaching them from the game zone
Fixed issue where certain weapon types couldn't hit smaller enemies reliably
Fixed multiple display issues with shop items
Fixed AI issue where enemies could remain locked on deceased opponents
Fixed issues with Pirate Barges occasionally becoming stuck inside each other
Fixed minor bugs caused by enemies and drones not properly resetting
There's a lot more coming soon. Our next patch will add gamepad support, full support for touchscreens, and add the ability to build separate inputs based on target platform.
Be sure to stay tuned, as many many more updates will be coming in June now that we've passed the initial hurdle of setting up the military faction. We remain optimistic the full game will release in August.

Hotfix 0.8.8
We found an additional issue with how explosions are handled and made a quick fix. This affected the first boss fight if the game was running at an extremely high framerate.
