V.004 - Now in Beta - Extra Lives
It's a tiny additon, making a huge difference in how the game plays out. We've experimented with giving each player 'Extra Lives'. Each time an opponent is defeated, they will lose a life and respawn in 3 sec. Opponents are permanently defeated once their lives are spent.
Each player start off with 3 Extra Lives by default. You can turn off Extra Lives by setting them to 0 in the menu.
We'll be testing this in beta until Friday - feel free to check out the beta branch on Steam before Friday to check out this new feature!
Update v0.003 - Stage Update
UPDATE v.003 + New stage - PINATA! + Reduced hitbox size on players. + Fixed error where cat would always win!
We've also put changes from update v.002 live on the default branch.
Update v0.002 - Now in beta
We took some notes from the launch party at Soria Moria, and made a couple of improvements to several key aspects.
+ Players can now move freely within their "READY BOX" - making it easier to learn the controls pre-match. + Reduced 'Special Crate' hp. They can now be destroyed with only 1 shot. + Bullets are now 75% slower inside SLUDGE (up from 90%). + HUD elements now react to HUD being pushed by player. + Ready Countdown now starts from 5 sec. + Ammo/Shield Prompts now blink to make them more visible.
To enter the beta-build, right click Cosmo Clash in your library and click 'properties'. From here, select Betas and select 'beta' from the dropdown menu.
HOTFIX v0.001
Nap time is OVER!
Since Early Access started this Monday, we've fixed a couple of pressing glitches. The third spikewall stage would cause a crash - fixed in the latest build.
The game currently features about ~50 stages. We'll be dropping a few more stages come Friday, and building our way towards our 100 stage goal for release. We're also toying with new game modes, expect those soon! When we do, we'll do a special stream to flash our new chrome!
