Cosmos Update 2.3.5.2 - HUGE CHANGES and Hotfixes

NEW TO COSMOS



  • To encourage players to find cool and unique artifact builds and ensure you are always rewarded for killing a Cosmic Echo you now will ALWAYS get at least 1 Artifact when a Cosmic Echo is defeated.
  • Added an Easter Egg puzzle on the main menu (You can start this journey in the Co-Pilot Menu)
  • Updated NEW Hover and Clicked sound for all menu buttons and Augment selections
  • Updated the "Super Computer Popup" UI and "Upgradinator" UI screens to have better visuals
  • Added confirmations for the UI screens to "Quit to Main Menu" and "Quit to Desktop" when in the Pause Menu
  • Added a visual indicator on the Rift Core showing the percent to complete the rift
  • Added a visual indicator when the final cosmic echo has been killed and is ready to be closed.
  • Updated the Minigun weapon damage multiplier from 16.6% to 33% as the weapon was preforming pretty poorly during the early game
  • Updated the Border and Rift Pocket particle effects to match the same visual style when inside the Vivid Nightmare Rift and Void Realm Rifts
  • Updated the Game Over (Completed) and (failed) Cosmic Echo death icons to show the new images of the Cosmic Echos instead of a default skull icon

  • Fixed an issue with the Rift Anomaly "Unstable Artifacts" spawning 2 Artifacts instead of 1
  • Fixed an issue that rarely left the portal visuals still active after a Cosmic Echo is spawned

Cosmos Update 2.3.5 - Golden Echos Of The Rift

NEW TO COSMOS



  • Updated the Augment Starfire Cannon to fire along with weapon shots instead of randomly while a rift event is active. Starfire cannon also has lowered starting shot range because of this but the Starfire Cannon shots now scale with weapon shot firing range upgrades.
  • Alien starships spawned via the Rift Anomaly "Alien Invasion" now drop x5 more Gold Coins (as they are hard to defeat)
  • Updated the Main Menu scene with new Audio and SFX to make use of the New Audio system added in the previous patch.
  • Health Orbs spawned from Asteroids now provide 50 Health instead of 25 Health
  • Weapon Upgrade "High Yield Explosives" was dealing way too much consistent damage as it scales with all damage types. The damage multiplier has been reduced to 10% of all damage instead of 30% of all damage.
  • Added audio for buying and rerolling weapon upgrades at the Weapon Upgrade Station
  • Added custom audio for equipping a Starship Base or Starship Wing
  • Updated the Starship purchase menu to utilise less space with clearer information
  • Updated the Icon for Starship Base, Starship Wings and Starship Coloring to have faded locked symbols to see what the ship looks like behind it

COSMIC ECHOS


Added the old "Golden Cosmic Echos" back in as Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Variants meaning 3 new Cosmic Echos will be arriving in the Rift! Cursed Skull, RCON-Dropship and M3CH have come back with improved abilities and updated partical effects!

  • Updated the visuals of the Cosmic Echo "Gura" now called "Exiled Starship" - Exiled Starship "Trident Ability" has been updated with new visuals, velocity and SFX
  • Updated the Second Phage shield spawned by the Cosmic Echo "Ragual", the hit points are now the exposed edges and not the laser side panels
  • Updated the Abilities of the Cosmic Echo "Cursed Skull"

  • Fixed an issue with the Black Market Augments not being able to be purchased unless you have 10k Star shards (They cost 5k Star shards)

Cosmos Update 2.3.4 - Rift Pockets

OPTIMISATION!


I have done a full rework of the Audio system which was a serious pain point for Optimisation and the game should actual run at least 200%+ better that It did before!
This work also took a very long time to get setup and optimised which has caused the delay on recent updates!

NEW TO COSMOS



  • Updated the UI Interaction prompts for Shrines, Rift Core and Intergalactic Merchant Items
  • Removed Rift Modifier Choices and replaced with a more formatted Rift Event
  • Updated the particles when you destroy a Large Asteriod and Small Asteriods
  • Added SFX to the Firing and explosion of the Artifact spawned by "Auto-Turret"
  • Updated the Visuals of the MLG Lighting Module to look visually more like a lightning bolt instead of a missile
  • Asteroids have a 33% chance to spawn Health Orbs instead of items
  • The Blink Ability now has a visual indication as a starship outline when its ready to be used
  • Updated the HUD to collapse Artifacts in the inventory if the Artifacts are below a required amount of fill the first line of the Inventory bar
  • Removed the hidden DEBUG Menu from the HUD to increase Optimisation as it was causing moderate fps issues.
  • Added new sound effects for Hex Missiles / Blink Ability coming off of cooldown
  • Updated the "Used" Shrine Particale Effects
  • Intergalactic Merchant now has dialogue mentioning they spawned a Shrine when they arrived

RIFT POCKETS


Throughout the rift you will see "Rift Pockets" change and adjust the Rift Environment, flying into these damages your starship and reduces your vision. Each rift will have a different map with varied rift pocket sizes and locations!

RIFT ANOMALIES


Added some new rift anomalies to dynamically change the map with the new Rift Pockets added this patch along with some balance changes on other Rift Anomalies

Cosmic Rays (NEW)
The Cosmic Rift rumbles with the sound of more Rift Pockets

Deep Pockets (NEW)
Killing an Enemy spawns miniature Rift Pocket

Alien Invasion (ADJUSTMENT)
The alien starships can now be killed they just have a large amount of health

Ancient Shrines (ADJUSTMENT)
Shrines also open a portal to another dimension

Visions Of Horrors (REMOVED)
This removed the lull between fights and prevented the player from catching their breath at any moment. It was not fun or engaging so its been removed

BLACK MARKET


The Black Market has undergone some much needed improvements with new visuals and a very cool new money making feature... play to find out!

WEAPONS



  • Updated the "Space Shotgun" to have improved visual effects and explosion to be radial instead of multiple projectiles. This will improve the overall inconsistency with shotgun projectiles not hitting very nearby targets
  • "Space Shotgun" explosion radius now scales with projectile size
  • Updated all audio for Weapons to better match their utility
  • H4 Missile Array weapon accuracy and speed has been increased by 100% to align it more to the other weapons utility along with a much more satisfying Audio overhall
  • Renamed the "Moon Charm" weapon to "Lunarius Starcannon"
  • Updated the "BX41 Plasma Cannon" visuals to better represent plasma projectiles

Cosmos Update 2.3.2 - Rift Anomalies

NEW TO COSMOS



  • Added New "Key" text shown on the Active Artifacts Icon on your HUD in game

  • Current Gold is now always shown when a merchant is currently in the rift, even when the inventory is closed
  • Updated the Main Menu and Co-Pilot Menus to better reflect the new content

RIFT ANOMALIES


When a Cosmic Echo is defeated the Rift Core explodes with energy changing the rift properties causing a Rift Anomaly, This Rift anomaly adds a new and unique challenge that is changed when the next Cosmic Echo is defeated. There are 30 crazy and Interesting Rift Anomalies to discover, good luck out there Co-Pilot!

Cosmos Update 2.3.1.4 - UI and Gameplay Update

NEW TO COSMOS


- Enemies and Cosmic Echos are now shown on a radial indicator when not nearby the player, this helps identify enemies coming from locations


- Updated the Sensor Drones Aritfact to fire in bursts, at a higher fire rate and angled to a specific point and not forward


- Updated the Co-Pilot augment selection UI screen to fade Augment that are not selected


- Updated the Level selection Sub menus in the Level Selection screen


BUGFIXES


- Fixed multiple UI screen padding issues between the Options and Collections screen
