Hotfix v5.01
Minor hotfix to fix broken bear gossip in some non-English languages
The major Spring Update is now live, and also, the New Neighbears DLC!
We are so pleased to announce the release of both our free Spring Update, as well as our first DLC for Cozy Grove, the New Neighbears DLC!
New Neighbears contains the following:
4 new bears. Their stories are longer than any of the game’s original bears, but also designed to take less calendar time to complete – i.e. less waiting in between story beats, and no “waiting for one bear to give you something that another bear needs.” (See, we’ve been listening to you!) These bears appear on the island once you have ascended certain of the old bears.
A new type of critter – Butterflies – to catch and collect during the Spring and Summer seasons.
A new option (once you’ve completed a certain quest, we won’t say more than that) to bring all the bears together in one place with you for a special group moment.
A new song added to the background music collection
Unique new clothing that you’ll automatically receive upon purchasing the DLC
Bonus: some free expansions for your clothing closet, as an extra “thank you” for supporting us.
Bonus: a free, special house cat.
The Spring Update brings Ms. Carouse back to the island, and with her:
New festival items you can earn.
Dyes, which allow you to change the color of decorations
Orchids, which are a Spring-only source of special dyes
Ducklings, a temporary Spring pet that will follow you around the island once you've unlocked them!
A new gold storage chest you can buy from Pandam, if you're a late game player with way too much gold in your inventory.
... and more, including some nice bugfixes and balance tweaks.
Thank you, all of you, for your support and encouragement. As always, we are very grateful to you, and we hope you enjoy these updates. :)
Update 4.2
Howdy Scouts! This is intended to be the last update before our major Spring Update and New Neighbears DLC. It's a rollup of bugfixes and QoL that we don't want to make you wait for:
Added an additional row of slots to the default backpack size (increasing it for everyone)
Fix for issue where cats were not visually appearing hungry, even though they were hungry
Canceled animal yoga class (animals won’t appear bent out of shape anymore)
Sped up the animal feeding animation sequence
Allow players to select what items to give in all delivery quests, not just some of them
Fix for getting stuck when scrolling in inventory/filters
Fixed issue where the game could freeze if the player drops a large stack of decorations
Allison’s photo quests require less food
Quest turn-in UI stays visible when quest log is open
Quest log and backpack UIs auto-hide when you’re moving an item
New solution that will hopefully prevent players from borking their save files by accidentally time travelling backwards. (No guarantees here, but we tried our best.)
Speculative fix that will hopefully stop chaseable imps from sometimes getting trapped inside objects and thus becoming uncatchable by the player
Add support for future premium DLC!
Pandam no longer sells snow sculptures
Updated catbox button UI to make it more obvious how to convert hairballs into other essence.
Fix for issue where the dowsing rod might fail to detect new targets at the start of a new day.
Cleaned up some technical debt.
Various minor performance improvements.

The major Winter Update is now live!
Hi Scouts! We're pleased to release our third major update to Cozy Grove! Here's a list of the highlights for the "Winter Update":
[previewyoutube="CUffUlUN5JM;full"]
The Winter Festival begins December 23rd and runs for 6 whole weeks. It includes: new snowfolk characters you can craft and speak to, special gifts you can make for some of your island friends, and lots of fun with snow!
Most collection, crafting and storage UIs now have filters, to help you quickly find the item you’re looking for.
When you buy a hint from Charlotte, you can now choose which quest to buy it for.
The new Wishing Well now appears on fully-expanded islands. It allows you to buy the rarer recipes you might still be missing, if you can rustle up enough coin...
New background music track.
There is now one more tent upgrade (and 5th interior room) that can be purchased via Flamey.
New "complete the pattern" minigame that spawns randomly in the world.
Pandam now sells greens and roasted roots, in addition to his usual things.
Clothing closet default size increased by 30. You can buy more space for it, too.
Improvements to photography quests and hints to make them less confusing / difficult.
Perishable items left on the ground inside your tent will no longer disappear over time.
Bears will generally avoid wandering on top of hidden objects.
Darla and Ms. Carouse will not request clothing that's awarded by a quest and thus not immediately obtainable.
Blue clams once again give essence when you hit them with enough skips.
When bears step in front of major landmarks (thus hiding them), the hidden landmarks will be slightly less transparent / more visible.
Fixed issue that was causing Darla to give out more than the expected numbers of clothing items like tichels.
Various performance improvements/optimizations.
Various other bugfixes and minor improvements.
We have already started work on our Spring update. We'll share more details next year!
v3.2.0 is now available!
As of now v3.2.0 has been made available on PC and is being submitted for certification to Apple Arcade and consoles! The changes include:
Have you been wondering what cat hairballs are useful for? We're finally ready to tell you! Hairballs are the meta essence - they can now be converted into any other essence via your catbox. :D
Improvements to selecting an item when there are multiple nearby/overlapping objects. This will hopefully reduce frustration some folks have reported feeling when they are trying to click or tap on a specific animal or object in a crowded space.
We've upgraded our game engine, which should help us better support old and new devices while adding new features and improvements.
Improvements to info panels so they don't extend off-screen on some devices
Radar will point you at nearby rocks that you can harvest
Fix for cat beckoner recipe for ultra rare demon cats
Darla won't ask for hats you can only buy with wolf coins
