A Hugely Graphical Update
After a few months of intense work, here is finally the biggest update to Crazy Wheels so far, which also brings us closer to the game we had envisioned.
Here are a few the many things to discover in this release: - A complete overhaul of the graphics. - A new game mode: Ball master with 5 new powerups to control the sphere - New maps, new cars, new championships - And much, much more
Early Access Update 5
- Collectibles (Coins) and new cars skins to unlock - 3 new championships - New achievements support - New game mode with 4 new powerups (allowing you to control the ball)
Early Access Update 4
- Added 3 championships - Cars now have different characteristics - Reworked some of the UI - Bug fixes and stabilization
Early Access Update 3
- Added option to play the maps in reverse (those whose design supports it) - Modulate the overall car speed for easier learning curve - Overhauled the physics (car physics have been reviewed and a bounciness added to them. Getting stuck in some elements of the environment should be gone!) - Improved the level editor (added the option to toggle physics support for the selected object by pressing P, tag your map as reversible) - 1 new map - Added resolution setting menu (more graphics options to come later) - Bug fixes and stabilization
Notes for Update 2 (April 5th 2021)
- First pass support for SteamWorkshop (Upload, download, update maps.) - Improved the level editor - New power: rocket - Improved the AI (it is not harder and handles the map better) - 2 new maps - All official map are now playable in the online mode
Known issues - SteamWorkshop integration still lacks informational messages (mostly "a progress bar") - For now levels created with the level editor don't have all the physics goodness enabled.
