Hello, survivors! We have an important week ahead of us, filled with events.
Firstly, today at 13:00 GMT, our Discord server will host a Q&A session with the development team in text format. You will be able to ask the team questions about the new season, in particular about the new robotic legs and the new “Arcade” mode. The conversation will take place in the text channel “QA-session-with-devs”.
The next day, on September 17, there will be a livestream dedicated to the new season! Our community managers will tell you about the new features and show you the new parts. We will let you know the exact time of the livestream and which platforms it will be hosted at in a separate news article.
Many of you know that winter new season is coming. On September 19, the new major update “Next step” will be released. We will publish the detailed patch notes of the update on the day of release. Stay tuned.
And don’t forget that September 18 is the last day of the “Ice championship.”
We wish you a great week! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Intelligence reports that the locals tell many legends about valuables that were buried here long ago. This is your chance to get rich! Let's go on a quest!
Now let's go searching!
Rules:
This game is a variation of the well-known “Battleship” game, where participants need to name the coordinates of the point where they think the gift is located.
These coordinates are located on the intersection of the two axes of the playing field. For instance: G7 or E10.
Each gift occupies 1 cell of the playing field.
Targets can be located on ANY cell of the field.
In order to find a gift, you need to write the coordinate of the selected point as a comment to this post. Each player can write 2 coordinates in one comment. You can post only one comment!
The game will last until 17.09.2024, 09:00 GMT.
We will reveal gift locations with a winners list.
The player who first guessed the gift’s coordinates in the comments is the one who found it. All subsequent comments with this coordinate are not counted.
If the participant guesses the coordinates of two different gifts, then he will receive both rewards.
Don’t forget to write your in-game nickname and the platform in the same comment.
You can find:
5x Upcoming Battle pass
5x 7 days of premium subscription
5x 3 days of premium subscription
Good luck! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:

Hello, survivors! Let’s continue to explore the next season and learn about its features. It’s finally time to talk about the special new parts in detail. Please welcome the robotic legs! This is the official name of the new category of movement parts. And the vehicles that use those parts are called battle walkers!
We have already hinted about the change of game mode for armoured aircraft, which will also include walkers. Now it’s time to find out more details about the new Arcade mode, which will have special gameplay. Let’s go!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Please welcome: the robotic legs!
As we previously announced, there are three pairs of robotic legs: one of special rarity and two epic ones. Please note that the epic legs have two variations: light and heavy. Let’s have a look!
Special robotic legs
Light epic robotic legs
Heavy epic robotic legs
Epic robotic legs have cool powers. We’ve featured them on our social networks before, but now we would like to go into more detail.
Light epic robotic legs can do a quick dash forward. Heavy epic robotic legs can take off for a short time, like a jetpack. Note that when new robotic legs are installed on a vehicle, it binds the direction of movement to the direction of the camera.
New game mode — Arcade
We tried to make the new mode fast, challenging and a bit wild. It will replace the current armoured aircraft mode. Arcade is a permanent PvP mode for playing on any vehicles, including battle walkers and armoured aircraft.
Note that walkers will be playable in all major PvE raids, co-op missions and Bedlam, as well as in some brawls and special temporary events/modes. This includes a special major PvE event coming this fall. In the new mode, battles are fought in a team PvP format. To win, teams need to pick up a certain amount of special resources, which are dropped by destroyed enemies and are necessary to win the battle. Arcade mode has respawns.
You can not only pick up resources dropped by enemies, but also “save” the resources dropped by your allies, which adds tactical depth to the mode. For example, if your ally gets destroyed, you can pick up the resources they dropped, preventing the enemy team from getting points.
To add a little bit of mayhem, we included permanent modifiers to the parameters of armoured vehicles in the mode. For example, the power of cabins will change, the speed of some movement parts will increase, weapon damage will increase, etc. Note that some modifiers do not affect armoured aircraft and battle walkers, and some apply to all combat vehicles. You will learn all nuances of the Arcade mode modifiers in the full description of the update.
One more thing.
We would like to invite you to the official Crossout Discord server to participate in a text-based Q&A session. During the event, you will be able to ask the developers questions about the new robotic legs and Arcade mode. The session will take place in a specially created text channel of the server. Our team will try to answer as many questions related to the main topic of the session as possible. Communication will be in English.
We are waiting for you on September 16! We will announce the exact time of the session separately.
New structural parts
This entry concludes the series of devblogs about the new season, and you can learn about all the rewards and new features from our traditional update livestream, which will take place next week. Stay tuned and good luck in battles! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Treacherous Wasteland: places with the highest destruction counts
Hello, survivors! Once again, let’s have a look at the thermal maps that show the places where your armoured vehicles get destroyed most frequently in the fierce battles in the Wasteland. This time, we’ll analyse the “Sinto City”, “Ravagers foothold” and “Nameless tower” maps.
Only real players are marked on the heat maps with no PS limits. AI activity is not reflected on the maps.
The “Sinto City” map and the dragon’s teeth
Amid neon signs and sleek skyscrapers, the survivors fight for control of the central area of the Syndicate’s city. The narrow northern streets lined with high-rises provide cover and allow for daring sneak attacks on the enemy’s rear. Many take advantage of this.
The southern part of the city is a place for experienced warriors to fight their opponents for control of the overhead platforms. If you succeed, you’ll have a huge tactical advantage: the centre of the city will be laid bare before your keen eyes and powerful cannons!
The “Ravagers foothold” map and the loST M1Nd
Despite Lloyd’s defeat and the imminent end of the “Ravagers Ascension” season, the sentient machines are forever in our hearts. Good thing that their “foothold” isn’t going anywhere!
We’ve seen time and time again that the survivors love to use all sorts of chasms to their advantage. This map is no exception. The area itself is vast, and so is the activity of the players on it. Be careful when racing around the battlefield and your M1Nd will definitely not fall into the Ravagers’ claws.
The “Nameless tower” map and the mysterious dome
The formidable form of a huge concrete giant is visible to the naked eye from everywhere. It’s no wonder that survivors are active everywhere on this battlefield where you can capture an enemy base! From the clusters of houses on the edges of the map and the dried up riverbed in the south to the northern driveway along the sheer cliff and dome in the centre. Everyone is trying to break through to the opponent’s base.
But the hottest spot is the central dome. Maybe they’re organizing a festival there, or maybe the survivors think the dome can protect them from the debris when the tower falls. Either way, it’s a shame that the tower gets demolished! So be careful not to get crushed under the huge pillar.
That is all for now. We have many more interesting thermal maps that we will share with you next time. Good luck in battles! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Hello, Survivors! The “Sea battle” brawl ends on September 11! Hurry up and participate in tactical sea battles and complete the mode’s chain of challenges.
And a new sports brawl “Ice championship” will begin on September 12! Unlike its summer counterpart, the hockey-themed brawl will feel a little different, because sliding on ice is not the same as driving on a field!
Have a great week! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Second phase of the mass testing of the balance changes in the upcoming season
Hello! We would like to remind you that the second phase of the mass testing of the planned balance changes starts today. The following changes have been added since the first phase was completed:
Structural parts
Reduced damage resistances:
Engineers
Bullet damage: from 20% to 15%
Blast damage: from 20% to 15%
Nomads
Bullet damage: from 30% to 20%
Syndicate
Bullet damage: from 30% to 25%
Hyperborea
Bullet damage: from 35% to 30%
Founders
Bullet damage: from 20% to 15%
Blast damage: from 20% to 15%
Scavengers
Bullet damage: from 15% to 10%
Blast damage: from 35% to 25%
Steppenwolfs
Bullet damage: from 15% to 10%
Blast damage: from 35% to 25%
Comment: the latest increase of damage resistances turned out to be excessive, since heavy parts became more advantageous than the light ones to the extent that was not originally intended. Lowering the values of resistances to the most popular damage types should correct the situation.
Meat grinder (in addition to the announced changes)
Penalty to the power of the cabin reduced from 28% to 18%.
Increased traction.
Comment: this change will improve the acceleration of builds on augers.
Draco (in addition to the announced changes)
Fire rate reduced by 6,6%.
Overheating speed reduced by 4,3%.
As a result of the above changes, the time to overheat increased by 12%.
Comment: the change of fire rate combined with the change of damage reduces the damage per second parameter. The change of overheating speed partly makes up for the changes, reducing the damage dealt before overheating less than damage per second.
Comment: the change should lower the efficiency of the shotguns by making them more dependent on vehicle’s speed and its ability to get into close range.
Yokozuna (in addition to the announced changes)
Power bonus from the cabin’s perk reduced from 200% to 100%.
Also during this phase of testing, there will be a poll on the previously announced change that disables the inertia of “Yongwang”, “Fortune” and “Porcupine” projectiles. If you have tried out this change, please participate in the poll. If you don’t see the poll, you need to enable it in the settings (Settings - General - Privacy - Enable Polls).
How to get on the test server?
[expand type=details] If you have already participated in testing on a special server, then it will be enough to start the Launcher from the folder with the test client and wait for the update to complete.
Create a new folder for the game on your hard drive.
Download the Launcher from this link. The file name should not contain numbers indicating that the file is a duplicate. Please note that you should launch the file that does not contain any digits (1), (2), etc. in its name. If, when starting the installed launcher, you get to the live game servers, you need to delete all downloaded launchers from the download folder and try again.
Start the Launcher and install the game to the folder you created (for example: D:\Public test\Crossout).
After the installation is complete, start the Launcher and enter the game with your username and password.
The whole progress of your main account will be transferred to the main server (including parts in storage and levels of reputation in factions).
After logging into the server, to transfer progress from your account, press the “Esc” key and select “Copy account data”.
Please note the schedule of the test server:
Friday, September 6, 2024 from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT)
Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT)
Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 13:00 to 19:00 (GMT)
Any progress you make on the test server will not be transferred to the live game servers (INCLUDING ATTEMPTS TO BUY PACKS).
After testing the changes, we invite you to leave your constructive feedback on the planned rework in the comments to this news.
The public test server is intended only for testing of the upcoming update, and may not accommodate all players without exception. However, absolutely anyone can join the server, as long as there are free spots. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Hello, survivors! Let’s continue to learn about what new features are coming in the new season. This time we would like to talk about the new legendary cabin that builds upon the “Omnibox”, and have a look at the new legendary grenade launcher with two firing modes. Let’s go!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Legendary grenade launcher
The Scavengers have an explosive surprise for you!
The main feature of the new grenade launcher is two firing modes. If you make one quick click, the grenade launcher fires a projectile, which will burst into several small explosive fragments on impact. In this mode, the grenade launcher does area damage.
If you hold down the firing button, the grenade launcher will fire a solid projectile, which will not shatter on impact and will not create additional explosions. This mode reduces the spread and increases the damage of the projectile itself, allowing you to use the grenade launcher at long range like a cannon.
The perk of the legendary weapon allows you to increase the damage with precision shooting. It is better to activate it in the first mode. The damage of the next shot will increase for each part hit by the explosion.
Legendary cabin
The new medium cabin builds upon the “Omnibox”. It also has two modes and permanent bonuses based on the mechanics of its predecessor, but these bonuses can be further enhanced during battle.
The first mode will increase maximum speed and power. Additionally, the first mode accumulates a bonus to damage based on the distance you have travelled, but you can activate this bonus only in the second mode.
The second mode increases the maximum damage of all weapons. Additionally, in the second mode, the cabin accumulates the bonuses to maximum speed and power. To do this, you need to deal damage to enemies. These bonuses can only be activated in the first mode. Note that the higher the rarity of your weapons, the more damage you will need to deal to accumulate the bonus.
The cabin requires constant movement and accurate shooting, as well as frequent change of modes according to the situation on the battlefield.
New structural parts
Also, starting this September, Crossout will have four Battle Passes per year instead of three. The levelling will become faster, and more content will be released per year, including free content. The content of each pass may be slightly reduced, but the number of levels and overall value will not change.
Let’s keep walking through all the new features together in the developer blog entries. The next one is coming soon, and it will finally bring news about the new mechanical legs. Stay tuned! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
