Update today: Switch function / Player levels 121 -150 / Winning Statistcs
Hello everyone!
Today we implemented a switch function for taking over the deck of a disconnected teammate! In case your teammate loses the connection, you'll be informed via text box and on the top right corner two buttons will appear with which you can switch between decks. These buttons are also hotkeyed on F1 and F2.
New player levels from 121 - 150 have also been added, as well as rewards for reaching these.
Last but not least, being successfull in tournaments or winning the gold leadboards will now also be displayed via badges. There is one for winning a tournament and one for winning either the 1vs1 or 2vs2 gold leaderboard, which will be counted. If possible, this display will also be attached/added to the lobby screen but we ran into some technical issues.

Update today: New Ranking System in Gold, Balancing and some Skins
Heya Clashers!
Later today another update will be implemented, which will introduce the previously announced new ranking system in Gold 2vs2! We hope that there will be less fear of losing too many points, especially when players go alone into the queue and have random teammates. Enjoy! We will also add new Skins: the Blood Cauldrone and Blood Bane.
In addtition, here are the most important background infos for balancing:
Lothar Lothar has become the most dominant and played legend after the last patch. Heavy armor, high hp, fast attack speed and high damage of the swordmaster seem to make him mandatory in a deck at the moment. We tune him down a little by small adjustments in hp, attack speed but also increasing the cooldown for his Sun Shield ability (Combo with Solar Flare).
Selga Having increased the radius of Selga's protection with the last patch seems to be the right decision. However, the amount of the now protected units can be a little op. Instead of decreasing the range back to former levels, we are going to decrease the time the invinceability is holding up. As this change will also effect Promise of life, the spell's cost will be reduced.
Factory reset We want to increase the use of FR by reducing its cost. As it has been op before, the amount of targeted units goes down likewise to prevent that from happening again.
Hail of Arrows Hail of Arrows at its curent state is cheap aoe anywhere on the map without effort and it is surpressing decks that rely on small units. We will reduce the effected area, increase mana cost but also add a little bit of damage to make it a more pointed and tactical spell.
MOAG The Moag is the most prominent damage dealer and could also be seen in close to every Tournament deck. We nerf general attack speed and energy cost for the Yamato cannon.
Relocate Relocate is probably THE must have spell right now. Due to its versatility this is most likely not going to change completely but we want to tune its usefullness a little bit down by increasing mana cost.
T1 Melee Units Most of the t1 melee units get an increase in health by 5-10%. In gold 2vs2 they are no real alternatives to t2 or t3 spawner and we try to change that.
T3 Summons Over the last patches, we reduced the mana cost of t3 summons step by step to see them becoming a playable alternativ for either a t2 card or even a legend in a deck. As this has not happend yet, costs are reduced by 10 mana once again.
Towers in 1vs1 Get 10% more health and ammo.

Crystal Clash Championship Champions / The Bourkestreet-Challenge
After a close finale against Chocho & Darek, Paperpancake & Fe2lx crowned themselves Crystal Clash Champions! A 3rd match had to bring the decision, as teams tied 1:1 in the two battles before.
Chocho and Darek's performance is to be highlighted as they made a team on short notice just some hours before the tournament. Kishin and Crawlers with a good 3rd rank and ShinX/Ziladon with something different as usual (10x Guardian, crazy!!!). We were also happy to see Atrixsanna and Viooltje back on the battlegrounds and hope that they stick around!

Secondly, we want to announce a small challenge! Our current Leaderboard Champion in 1vs1, Bourkestreet, is reigning without mercy. Therefore, the next 5 players that win against his Lothar-deck in 1vs1 and upload a winning screenshot afterwards on discord (tag Fe2lx) will be awarded with 2000 Crystals! Let the hunt begin...

In about an hour the check in for the championship finals begins. For the tournament the following teams have qualified and will battle in a round robin (two matches against each other team) for the crown of the Crystal Clash Champion:

The poll for a change of the 2vs2 gold ranking system has been clearly answered, roughly 90% of the voters are in favor of a softer ranking approach. We are therefore going to implement the new ranking system around the 4th of November. Points are then awarded according to the attached scheme.
We will monitor how this approach is working and may increase/decrease point income/loss in the future.
We hope this will bring more casual players back to the game but also decrease fear of going alone into queue when you already have a decent amount of points in your bank account. ๐

We are currently thinking about a change for the ranking system in gold from ELO to a softer approach.
With the current ranking system players gain and lose points in regard to their ELO. While this works nicely with large player numbers, this system can lead to frustration with a small playerbase because matchmaking can't work as intended. We are therefore thinking about a change to a system that has a softer and more motivating approach for our case:
If you win against a team/player that is ranked +- 20 to yours, you get 10 points against >20 ranks below = 5 points against >20 ranks above = 15 points
- A loss costs a fixed amount of 5 points - Each player will get one point for reaching stage 2,3 and the showdown (This is motivation for not giving up early)

Hi all! Here is some background for the next balance patch which will be implented during the day.
The spore became the superstar after the last patch and has been seen in close to every match. At its current state it is anti air, healing but also a strong flying damage dealer. We tune down damage and healing accordingly.
T3 summons still do not feel like a real alternative to using legends, we therefore increase the mana cost for Brattu, Vecra, Lothar, Tyrus and Selga slightly again. More expensive legendaries do also require a more thoughtful use, which is good for tacticians.
Making Monument of life primarily a damage source didn't work out, so we are increasing its healing again. As the overhealing part caused lots of problems before, MoL is only going to heal but not overheal from now on.
The Mulch digger is always delicate to balance but it fell short in comparison to other tanks. Therefore, we increased the range of its ability invoke:rupture, which should also make the summoning more attractive.
Mirror Slime has rarely been seen after the cooldown of its reflector ability was increased with the last patch. We decreased it to the middle, reduced damage and increased hp.
Soul Cauldron has now medium instead of heavy armor.
These are most important changes, accompanied by some smaller tweaks.
