Beta 0.4 is Live!!
Its been a long time since an update but I cleaned up a lot of the code and updated to the latest version of Unreal Engine.

- FEATURE: Canyon Level 2 is now playable!
- FEATURE: Backpack holds orbs
- FEATURE: ammo is now part of your crosshairs

- You can lose orbs by running into obstacles
(-8 for crystals || -1 for everything else) This may change...

- StrikingDarkness wins the last beta with a prize of 3 keys!

*Leaderboard have been reset because scoring is different.*

Keymailer for Keys
In the past I have sent out beta keys though my own website that populated the submissions in a spreadsheet. I would then send out keys in individual emails.

This worked for awhile until I got too many submissions to give to everyone. Some people also thought it was an automated process and entered 10 or more emails in an effort to get more keys. It became very time consuming to distribute keys and keep track of all the users that activated them.

I will still give out keys to viewers watching Crystal Flux on Twitch and Beam/ However, the best way to assure access to a Steam key for journalists and streamers will be though Keymailer.

Leaderboards are working!
I knew leaderboards were required for Crystal Flux and since Steam is my focus for launch, I decided upon Steam Leaderboards. After 2 weeks of programming, completely out of my area of expertise, and a weekend of bugs; the leaderboards are now up and running!!

It defaults to the global leaderboard and there is also a button for friends only so check it out!

Tips for climbing the leaderboard:

  • prioritize orbs
  • jump and go upside down as much as possible
  • don't run into trees, bushes, or crystals (you won't be able to pick up orbs for 1.5 seconds)
