Linux tablet (touch-only) support
A little while ago I updated Crystal Picnic to support tablets on Windows without a keyboard or mouse. Today I extended this support to Linux. To use the touchscreen mode, add -force-tablet to the launch options for the game under properties in the Steam client.

Windows tablet (touch-only) support
I have been working today on Windows tablet support for Crystal Picnic. This allows for playing the game with just a touchscreen (no keyboard/mouse/gamepad needed) on Windows. To enable this mode, you need to pass -force-tablet to the game as a command line parameter. To do this within the Steam client, right click the game in your library, select Properties then Launch Options, enter "-force-tablet" and save the options, then run the game as normal.

The build is now live on Steam at this link.

macOS 10.15 Support
I've just updated Crystal Picnic with support for macOS 10.15. This required me to bump the minimum required version to 10.11, but if you don't have 10.11 or higher don't worry.



You can edit the game properties, and under the beta tab, you can select the oldmac branch which has the same version as before today.

Crystal Picnic Adventures DLC
The game's companion novel, Crystal Picnic Adventures is now available as DLC! The book was written by John Bardinelli who wrote the script and most of the dialogue for the game. It comes in 3 formats to support most e-book and document reading software on PC and mobile.

Crystal Picnic Soundtrack Now Up as DLC
The soundtrack to Crystal Picnic is now available as DLC for about a buck.

This soundtrack, by the amazing composer Zoe Coleman, has a total of 28 tracks, with 8 BONUS TRACKs (mostly orchestral with some remixes) and one SUPER BONUS TRACK with backing vocals by a live choir. It also features a few songs not heard in the game at all!

We're really proud of this soundtrack... it's not just something thrown together willy-nilly! We think you'll enjoy it if you liked the game!

If you like the game, check out Crystal Picnic Adventures, a novel featuring the game's characters!

The novel extends upon the story of the game with all new locations and characters. It's easy reading and a lot of fun!
