Cube Racer 2 - New, Better, More, Less bugs

Cube Racer 2 is comming early 2021



We recently started the development of the greatest successor to the greates game ever: Cube Racer 2

Cube Racer 2 is the one and only logical result of everything that Cube Racer has been. Due to it's amazingly fun and potentially furious experience, we aim to replicate this unique to Cube Racer 2, to still make players work hard for their wins, but also to make some cry.

Including evolvable obstacles from popular categories like Deadly, Moving and Boosting, Cube Racer 2 will offer more maps and content than Cube Racer 1.

The completely new points distribution system sets new goals for the players to reach the top. Being the fastest cube isn't the only important thing anymore. Use your building credits wisely to mess with your opponents and give yourself an advantage.

All this we are doing to make Cube Racer 2 the ultimate cube controlling experience. Expect amazing cube-graphics, incredible gameplay and less than half the bugs Cube Racer 1 had to offer.

Cube Racer Free to Play



Hi everybody,

Cube Racer is free to play! Go try it out, have some fun with your friends or experience the new singleplayer campaign.

Update-Log:

  • Added 48 new obstacles, including pipes and duster
  • Added Campaign Singleplayer
  • Added two more standard singleplayer maps
  • Added three new multiplayer maps
  • Completely restructured and re-designed main menu
  • Added a bunch of skins and horns
  • Added new gamemode Knock-Out (Better known by the term "Battle Royale")
  • Added environment to every multiplayer map
  • Added Elo-Rating system. Since it is mandatory
  • Added a couple more sound effects


As already mentioned in the previous post there will be some rewards for all the people who supported us before the game went free to play. These will be handed out in the next couple of weeks.

Cube Racer going Free to Play

Hi everybody,

Exciting news comming right here:
Cube Racer is about to become free to play!

Why you ask? Good question. Well the answer is even simpler. We are developing Cube Racer completely in our free time. And although we have no problem benefitting a little from working on this game what so ever, we still came to the conclusion, that this game is meant to be played and we want you all to have fun playing it. More than we want to make a big profit out of it.

Cube Racer is designed to be played with friends, or at least in multiplayer. And to enable the most fun in the game, you need other people to play with. So to reach out to as many players as possible, we want you all to be able to just play the game for the fun of it.


To all the people who already bought the game and thus supported us in being able to futher develop the game, we firstly want to thank you so so much. We really appreciate that you deemed Cube Racer to be a game worth playing. To give you something back for your support, we have prepared some exclusive Cube-Skins and trails, which you will receive some time soon after the switch to free to play.


So don't hesitate to get hyped, it's time to prepare for a lot of action :)

Cube Racer Pre-Spring Update



Allright you race drivers,

prepare for much more Cube Racer action. Now with this new update, we present you with what you all waited for: Skins and lootboxes!
Nah I'm just kidding, you didn't wait for that, but well, there it is.
But no for real, there are skins and lootboxes, but you get them just by playing. No paying, no micro-transaction, no ingame-purchases. We think it's just a whole bunch of fun to open lootboxes and get something out of it. So there you go.

That being said, let's come to the less important changes:

Gameplay:
- Small improvements in map editor
- Cubes now have trails that show the way your opponents are taking
- Obstacle "Slime Block" added. A slimy block that slows you down when touching it. Also it's sound is horrendous
- Obstacle "Hammer" added. I suppose that speaks for itself, as it's a hammer that smashes you
- Refactoring of the main menu to make it a little more intuitive
- Added a bunch of new horns

Cube Racer Demo Version

Hi everyone,

first of all I want to thank everybody who already checked out Cube Racer. I really appreciate every bit of feedback I receive, whether it's critisism, suggestions, or questions about the game.

Cube Racer primarily is a multiplayer game, and it is absolutely meant to be played online with other players. I believe, that it is difficult to get a comprehensive impression of the multiplayer mode, just by reading about it or watching the current trailer.

That's why I decided to release a demo version of Cube Racer, which includes an online multiplayer, where you can get an impression of the multiplayer experience, before deciding whether you want to buy the game.

We will release the demo version as soon as we can, but you can expect it to be available no later than monday, 6th of November.

Release on 30th of October

Since wandering in the dark may be scary, getting no information is annoying, and communicating is wonderfull:

We are delaying the release of Cube Racer for exactly one week. This means, instead of releasing Cube Racer as planned on 23rd, it will be available for everyone on 30th of October.

The delay results of the following motivation: We want to give you the game in its best shape that we can achieve with our capacities. We are going to use the additional time to finalize every edge of the game, and to test it in every imaginable way. So that you get a stable running and totally fun game ;)
