Christmas in Cinci

Christmas is more or less just an excuse to party hard when it comes to 2090s Cinci.

People don't have a lot to live for, so why not? So come and join us in Interstate (and our Discord) for some good times.

To help you along, your breather limit has been doubled for the Christmas period. As well as the city changing its face a little for the holidays, we've got some some unique events for you. If you're in a relationship, expect a gift from your significant other. If you're out on the streets expect to meet a drunk Santa with an unexpected story. If you're on the prowl for new duds, you'll find some exclusive preview items. And more.

We'll also be sharing some exclusive access codes to our Discord community.

And above all, Merry Christmas to one and all!

Bugfix release

 • Fixed Bursting getting stuck.
 • Fixed tattoo style images not updating if you switch style.
 • Fixed the Supply & demand required to sell human flesh.
 • Fixed some workshop things.
 • Fixed some other minor bugs. Thanks for the reports!

More work, more shop

A few notes on today's update. If it feels like it's a lot more workshop stuff, that's because it is! 3D printers add a whole load more stuff to do, and there's still a lot more coming. That goes for lock-up conversion too. There's another conversion project in testing at the moment, and once that's ready it'll enable having a lot of others – workshops (so you can finally have your own in the slums), meat lockers, morgues and more.

It'll also make it possible for this mechanic to be used in general for other things too, such as the bordertown house, catfish farm and projects within the Warren. So there's still a lot to come. And, as mentioned before, a lot of this push ties into things happening for the main mission, so look out for that too!

Discounts & Christmas

Just a heads up, Thirst, Outside Edges, Cincinnati Stories and the OST will be discounted for Steam's Winter Sale, starting on the 18th. And our own Christmas and New Year in-game event will start shortly after that. More details closer to the time, but there'll be unique event content, previews, access codes and other stuff.

Custom avatars

As mentioned before, there's a new perk for membership of The Kiss on Patreon. The first of these new avatars have been done now -- check them out below. These are available for use in-game, as well as a high res version being supplier to the member for them to use however they want.

Surgery & supply

[p]Today's update is a bit of a big, mixed bag. Lots of fixes this time, and lots of tweaks and new content. The although it might seem like the smallest part, the new facial feminisation surgery option look the longest to implement. All those tweaks to outfits and the wardrobe only took a day or so.[/p]

Surgery

[p]The new surgical option is primarily aimed at transwomen characters, and is part of the ongoing push to add more and more options for body modification (and not only for trans). This option also works for non-trans characters, to make your features more feminine, if you wish. And, as ever, I continue to work on all the NPC content around these options. That's the hard part.[/p][p][/p][p][TAG-10][/p][p][/p]

Supply

[p]Also time consuming was working on all the mechanical tweaks around bundling and drug sales in Working the streets. This follows on from the previous update around the value of bundled goods, and allows much more flexibility in your sales. The Supply & demand requirements are now being systemised across all types of products and sales values, which gives a more consistent experience (before they were more or less arbitrary).[/p][p][/p][p]As you might have guessed, this is a prelude to a major overhaul of Working the streets, which will include many mechanical changes, new options, new opportunities to buy and sell and other bits and pieces, on top of the work to make everything consistent across the board. This is necessary for two things: the new mission content that's in the works, and putting Working the streets systems into the Projects and the Airport (it all needs to be working properly in the slums before replicating it elsewhere).[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Flea market

The main new thing that the engine can do now is remember the value of what you've bundled specifically, instead of relying on some nominal average value. This means that it's now practical to be able to bundle and sell items with wildly different monetary values as well as remove some exploits (e.g. bundling only the cheapest of a particular type of product but getting the higher average value).

And what all this means is that we can now leverage existing systems to enable things such as selling excess clothing and other items easily, which has been a bit of a bugbear for a while. Right now clothing, accessories and jewellery are bundled into separate items, which won't make any different for selling directly from your inventory, but means that they can be used separately in things such as errands in future. More categories of items will get this treatment soon.

Read the full changelog below.

 • You can now bundle and sell most clothing and accessory items.
 • - Not footwear, underwear or unique items.
 • Tweaked the stats for some guns.
 • Unfit to enter now includes Hallucinating.
 • You can now decide again about Freakshow.

 • New artwork.
 • You can no longer bundle items that you have equipped if you only have one of them.
 • Bundling items now shows the value of the bundle being created.
 • - Note that some bundles are still sold at nominal price.

 • Fixed the smart link for the HCat-10 not working.
 • Fixed the Gym rat spike missing from the second socket.
 • Fixed some problems with wear on the new weapons not being applied.

Tooled for it

We've got quite a bit for this update. The focus is on the new guns, of course. There are a couple of new smart guns to go with the new Weapons jack implant, and we figured why not throw in some more at the same time? Some of these will be easy to find, but others are pretty rare. We've also added some new variants for 22LR ammo,

The other thing is a new suite of disposable spikes. Some, again, are cheap and common, and others not so much. Whether you'll find them useful or not depends on your character and playstyle.

On top of this we've got the usual host of updates. Check the full changelog below:

 • Full implementation of the Weapons jack.
 • Six new firearms, including two smart guns.
 • New ammo types.
 • Seven new spikes.
 • One new phone app.
 • Booster spikes are now classified as Disposables.
 • - Which they always were really.

 • Tweaks and a new option on Flight or fight?
 • One new eyelash style.
 • Tweaked the State of dress calculation a little.
 • Made some adjustments to pricing and demand for A fortune in fuel.
 • - Too expensive and you'll sell zero.
 • There's a little more Miriam content.
 • Two new supply packets.
 • Bordertown informers have had the treatment.
 • Additional spike buying options from the Jags and Modes when Working the streets.
 • You can now sell Special and Disposable spikes via Working the streets.
 • The sale value and Supply & demand cost of bundled spikes now reflects the value of the spikes you've bundled.
 • - Implemented for most, but not all, spike types so far.
 • Drinking Jax's juice is now essential for management of Black shakes.
 • Reduced app prices a little.

 • New artwork.

 • Fixed a potential problem with the Hot Body spike.
 • Fixed Get some privacy not timing out automatically.
 • Fixed wearing coats and jackets open not showing skin where appropriate.
 • Fixed some other minor outfit problems.
 • Fixed some typos and minor bugs. Thanks for the reports!
