Like last month, April was no doubt a very difficult month for a lot of people. We hope everyone is staying safe and well.
Sean and I are both finding a lot of solace in games right now, and we imagine many of our players are too. High scores, levelling up, getting achievements, etc - it all feels like a very welcome distraction.
So, without further ado, here's April's top 5:
Some really impressive scores there, from consistent pilots and new names alike! Well done, folks, and good hunting for May.
March 2020 Monthly Leaderboard
March was . . . March was indescribable. I have no pithy, witty way to talk about it.
All I can say is, Sean and I are (and continue to be) proud and grateful that people are playing games we produce. This really hits home in times like these.
Our top 5 for March:
We hope you all stay safe and well.
Dave
February 2020 Monthly Leaderboard
Is it me, or did February look a lot like January... ?
No, not out there, right here on the Cycle 28 Leaderboards. This months top 5 features 4 of the same names as January's. So congrats to those consistent scorers, and also to Hornetnest for stepping up to that top 5!
What will March bring? Who knows right now...
But seriously, stay safe everyone.
January 2020 Monthly Leaderboard
The first monthly leaderboard of 2020 saw some very strong scores by new names and Cycle 28 mainstays alike.
Congrats to ThereIsNoHope for topping yet another monthly with an impressive 21k score. We'll have to start tracking how many monthlies people top, and have another leaderboard for that... Yay, more leaderboards!
Congrats to everyone in the top 5:
December 2019 Monthly Leaderboard
And lo, the angels sang out:
"Let there be a new high score for Cycle 28!"
And there was much rejoicing! This impressive score not only topped the month, but also the overall leaderboards by 3,352 points!
Congratulations to everyone who made it onto one of the most competitive and high scoring top 5 in some time. Look at what you can all achieve with a little holiday time, huh?
We hope everyone had a great festive break!
November 2019 Monthly Leaderboard Results
In the run-up to the festive season, the Cycle 28 leaderboards have been just as fierce as ever. Our top five have posted some impressive scores here.
But could you do better? Well, maybe you've got a few days in December to find out...
Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone, from Sean and Dave!
October 2019 Monthly Leaderboard Results
What could possibly be more terrifying, more stupefying, more mindbendingly disturbing, than Sean in another Top 5 of our Leaderboard.
Gaze upon it at your own risk:
Congrats to Mr Big Stuff for topping this horrifying roll-call, and proving that there is still some good in the universe.
How long will Sean's top-five-terror continue? Not to Christmas, surely ...?
September 2019 Monthly Leaderboard Results
Whoa, apologies folks for the late posting - it's been a full on few weeks here at Pill Bug. Lot's of exciting stuff though (see the previous announcement about BAFTA Cymru).
Even more exciting, would you look at the top 5 for September:
Who's that on top??
Shouldn't he be too busy coding or something?
Can he keep it up? Surely one of you fine pilots will be able to stop him next month?
Tune in next month(ish) to find out...
August 2019 Monthly Leaderboard Results
Summer came and went faster than a pack of scout ships, amiright?
But not all of you wasted the month of August on a beach somewhere, sipping something fruity. Instead, you hit the leaderboards with a vengeance. Great to see three names breaking the 10k mark!
Guess we'll have to see what happens when the best of us have to go back to school/work, huh?
BAFTA Cymru nomination for Cycle 28!
We are super proud to announce that Cycle 28 has been nominated in the BAFTA Cymru Game category!
It's still not really sunk in that we're one of three great games in the running this year. Sean and Dave will be attending the big ceremony (once they've tracked down some new formal wear ...) so expect some pics of two awkward devs in suits on a red carpet!
But mostly we wanted to thank everyone in the Cycle 28 community - without your support, we would never have even finished this game, let alone have it nominated for something. You're all the best!
