CYGNI: All Guns Blazing - Menu Guide

There are many different options, upgrades, and ways to play CYGNI.

We created this guide (with 4 short videos) to clarify the upgrade system, pattern designer, HUD, and difficulty modes.


Menu Guide - Upgrades: (These are the different weapons/upgrades you can unlock)




Menu Guide - Patterns: (We had hoped to add in-game explanations specifically for this section, but due to time constraints and the challenges of localisation, this may need to be patched in later - so for now we made this video explaining the projectile pattern designer).

HUD Guide: (You can find this in the Library section).




It is highly recommended that you play the tutorial first to gain a better understanding of the mechanics. Then, jump into Easy Mode (consider it the training ground where you have 3 lives, which helps you practice).

We are happy to announce the release date for CYGNI: All Guns Blazing 6th of August 2024!
In case you missed our exciting news during the IGN Live event on June 8th, you can check out the interview with KeelWorks CEO Meher Kalenderian and KONAMI team, featuring exclusive new gameplay footage and brand-new CG trailer that we revealed below:

Demo Feedback and Updates on Changes Made

Thanks to everyone who played our Demo during the February 2024 Steam Next Fest and shared their feedback. We have listened and made some changes! To find out more, check out the video below narrated by Game Director, Nareg Kalenderian.



Here is a summary of all the updates:
The tutorial button on the main page now has a new colour. Some players were not able to view the button.

Ship Speed:

  • The analog stick now has full-range support for ship speed.
  • You can now adjust speed sensitivity from the options menu.
  • The D-pad controls now behave correctly for better micro-movements, such as dodging.




Ground Weapon:

  • Re-written the targeting system to make it more intuitive and easier to manage.
  • Combine two buttons into one.
  • Auto-fire + Auto Target
  • Switch back and forth between manual control and auto target when needed.




HUD :
Players can now adjust ship HUD size from the options menu for better visibility.
You now have the option to enable an additional HUD display at the bottom of the screen.



Auto-fire now available as a real-time toggle – you can assign a button in the control’s menu.

Revive/Continue Mechanic – only available for Easy mode:
This will only be available in the easy mode. Players will have three lives per level and will be revived in the same spot instead of restarting the level (at the cost of pickups and score being reset per revive for that stage only). This can be used throughout the game.



Invert function for stick controllers (Mainly for left-handed players):
In the gamepad options menu, the player can toggle the checkbox to invert the stick controllers. This will swap the left and right stick functionality.



Overall Balancing :
We have further balanced the game based on feedback, which will better reflect on the different difficulty modes.
